Who Mike's family members follow on Instagram isn't a discussion that's on topic for this thread. Unless Brittney is posting photos of Mike/Green Day this isn't the place to discuss her or her Instagram. And unless Mike himself posts/follows something there's nothing to discuss about him either.

Brit is an anti-vaxxer, period. This is very obvious if you follow her account. Not only is she an anti-vaxxer, but she's pretty relentless about it. She posts it in stories so that the posts don't stay. She also is a huge fan of Joe Rogan and promotes him in her stories. If you don't know who he is, look him up. He loves to promote nutty conspiracy theories on his podcasts. Brit has, for whatever reason, gone off the deep end. She and Mike were not at the Golden Bull Cover Ups show because it was invitation only, and attendees had to be vaccinated. There is a quote from Jason B, co-owner of the GB, stating that there was a vaccination requirement. Just giving the facts.

It’s a promo interview to get people to buy coffee, you can’t really compare the kind of answers he gives in this context to his audiobiography where it was appropriate to get a lot more in depth and he spent quite a lot of time on not so wholesome subjects. FOAM era interviews were something different entirely. I’m just going to say I have an opinion about that that I’d get yelled at for.

Yeah I’m reading into too much into it. I find it disappointing but it is what it is. It’s fluffy meaninglessness with a purpose of adding content to get people to go to the website to buy coffee. It’s so transparent but still I found it disappointing. Wholesome wholesomeness contradiction.

I know there’s a lot of people here better at remembering quotes. And then Pollyanna is that a positive song or an ironic song? Everything is going to be alright don’t let me down? And then that Rolling Stone interview from early 2020 with a breakdown of different songs and era and inspiration and then the same kind of idea and theme of life and inspiration during Welcome to My Panic and then this Oakland Coffee House “interview” of convenient and edited well-thought-out “quotes”: “Inspiration comes in all forms for me. It could be hearing a new song, it could be going surfing, it could be hanging out with my dogs. I could just be hanging out with my friends and playing music together. Inspiration is sort of overrated. I’d prefer to work. When you work with music and art, you usually come up with something you love. And that’s what inspires you to keep doing what you love.” Most of his best most interesting stuff he writes on his own and he definitely gets ideas and inspiration from somewhere. Sure it could all come out when locked in a room (or whatever he does) and writing but the inspiration comes from somewhere. Inspiration is not overrated and I don’t think he really thinks that either. His song catalog is too varied and too interesting and inspired and feels so real and honest most of the time. It’s too good to not come from a place of inspiration and even if a good work ethic is part of the equation. Inspiration is there and it is not overrated otherwise it wouldn’t mean so much to so many people. Basically… this guy is a walking contradiction. What is he saying? I think this Oakland Coffee House interview this (if it is an interview?) is just a convenient cute little blurb of fluffy nothingness. I do believe he has a leopard print chair though. And he likes to stay up late. Or maybe he just means this is what is normal for writing and inspiration right now since he can’t really do much right now but that’s not the normal way things have been done in the past for the writing process. I am a Green Day fan. One of those types that reads too much into everything. Green Day fans. Sleuthing experts and not likely to take too many things too lightly sometimes. Depends. Green Day fans are passionate and serious and can be a lot of fun. Just like the band.

He is following that account but scrolling through his list nothing else jumps out at me. If you look at Brit’s list it’s all the alt right media pages and big name extremists. His is the usual friends, music, comedy and weed related. Nothing overtly political except for that one account I think? I do think it’s a good idea to keep a watch on his follows for any more changes like this though. I love the big group photo. Green Day all look like Hobbits next to the Blink guys it’s like some kind of Fellowship of the Punks 😄

My concern now is that these early shows cause (or appear to) a spike in numbers and they get the blame, that could mean really negative publicity which in this day and age of cancel culture could be pretty serious for them.

I honestly think it’s fucking bullshit that football matches are allowed but big concerts aren’t. For that matter, I think I’m at a bigger risk of being exposed to covid at a small concert where nobody gives a fuck about any precautions than I’d be at an event like H*lla M*ga where there most likely would have to be some rules. I still hope an asteroid hits the Earth just in time to prevent this abomination of a tour, but at this point I do that almost lovingly.

I was wondering if the grey around Billie's eyes was supposed to represent eyeliner. If so, it comes off more as, next day, forgot to wash my eyeliner off before going to bed last night.

As well as the tattoos, Billie should have green eyes and eyeliner and Mike should have sideburns but I’ll give them points for Billie’s short trousers, Mike’s leather ones and Tre’s red high tops!
