Huge bummer that they recorded 5 songs here (only 4 were broadcast) and they only put two on the 7". It would have been nice if they released the whole session. Hey- I just noticed it says "Part 1" on the front of the 7". So they'll probably make us pay another $20 for two more songs a couple months from now

When you keep coming back to Green Day songs, even if you find some great song from other band. Then after a while it's like "nah, they're not Green Day, gimme Billie".

Yup, it’s a part one. So instead of releasing a four song EP for the same $20, they’re splitting it into two 7”’s. That’s a cash grab if there ever was one. I preferred the fan club when all you had to be to join was a fan of Green Day. Now you also have to be a coffee addict.

It works for the energy but it also puts me into a good mood so I don’t feel like ranting I’d mind this less if they shipped from the EU. The vinyl is pricey as it is, even without shipping and customs fees. They should merge Oakland Coffee and GD online stores.

I joined the a coffee club to see the other stuff which I can, but I don’t pay anything and don’t subscribe to the coffee. Shipping to the Uk makes the coffee so expensive it’s mad, and I think it would incur taxes too! Don’t do vinyl but this looks great. 🥲

Thanks! The heat dome has dissipated so we're getting that cool marine air again and it's back to normal summer temperatures. Hopefully we won't have to suffer through it again this summer.

Ironic thing is my sister, who has no interest in Green Day, has a subscription solely because she likes their coffee. I can get it through her, I just have no interest in records.

The Longshot rules. If this is Longshotty but with this awesome group with Jason and Greg included this will rule. I hope to hell this is Longshot-esque. Billie’s songs for the Longshot were incredible. Greg writes good romancey and darkish and fun rock’n’roll type stuff. Jason is all kinds of amazing. I am pretty sure this project will be awesome. I hope I’m not setting up for massive disappointment. Seriously counting down to July 17th. So excited.

At this point I hate pops. They were cool when it felt like only media with pop culture significance got them. Now, anything can get one and it's too much. But still, I will grumpily fork over money for Green day ones because Green day.

The Spotify Bio for Zigzag Hearts mentions that Greg, Jason and Billie have a new music project that has an upcoming release called "The Upside Downers". No date given, but likely a reference to this secret project?

It was 109 degrees F today, which is absolutely record shattering for the Pacific Northwest, and my brain has been a bit scrambled from the heat (my car has no AC and my house is 90 degrees still at 10pm). When I was at work today, which has AC thank god, I was looking at other stores in the area with my coworker to see what kind of money they were making since it's been so slow because of the heat and I accidentally said "what is Green Day?" instead of "what is greenwood?" (As in what are they at in terms of sales. Greenwood is the location of another store in our district). We both cracked up over that.

Fun fact: that purple sequin dress was given to Billie by a GDC member. He went in and put it on and came right back out to model it

I consider it low, but it's not connected to any album, so it doesn't surprise me. I do wish they would promote it more. The fact that it charted at all (as opposed to HCTS) shows people connected with it. Billie charted going into the pandemic (ITWAN) and coming out since the songs reflected where we're at at that time. I think this one could have charted higher if they had pushed it more.

It would be cool to have official support for GDC from the band's management because let's be honest: This is the best Green Day forum out there and has been for years. I joined the Idiot Nation (back when it was still called Idiot Club) for a couple of years for the ticket pre-sale benefits and other little exclusive things that I forget, but their forum never felt like home. GDC is where it's at. My worry about this forum and GDA having an official backing would be that it might make it less fun and more commercial. It's free for anyone, though I do donate fairly regularly, and it might not be if it became official. The best thing to come of that would really be the financial support for the website. Although, if Idiot Nation dissolved then maybe that's an indication that they weren't willing to put the resources into keeping any kind of forum alive. GDC is so special because it's fan run by dedicated people who love Green Day. That's what makes it feel so much like a family. We can fangirl and weave wild conspiracy theories about leaked songs all we want and no one can tell us not to. Speaking of fangirling, look at him!!! I still much prefer the black hair, but he does look wonderful! I've so missed the floof. FOAM era was okay hair-wise so far, but this is some 21CB level floof and I'm in love with it! Billie looks quite trim too. I wonder if he's been working out to prepare for touring.
