  1. I consider it low, but it's not connected to any album, so it doesn't surprise me. I do wish they would promote it more. The fact that it charted at all (as opposed to HCTS) shows people connected with it. Billie charted going into the pandemic (ITWAN) and coming out since the songs reflected where we're at at that time. I think this one could have charted higher if they had pushed it more.

  3. The bit at the end of MTV ‘The Ride’, where Tre says something like “if you find yourself still together playing with your band after 30 years, it’s a very good thing if you love those guys” gets me every time ❤️. Funnily enough, it’s often Tre who says things like, “play music with your friends, the music will come”, must be a few clips.

  5. Seems pretty standard for GD lately. Back in 2005-2012, this would be considered low charting, IMO.

  6. I am so glad to see that Billie is happy, I was really concerned when he started looking like a beat up stick figure in a smoking jacket...

  7. I'm planning to make a compilation video of the sweetest and cutest Green Day moments (mainly Billie content) that I can find, but I'll need help. I've found that most of the GD compilation videos you find are usually "funniest" or, ambiguously, "best" and they're all very similar. We all know the GD boys are hilarious goofballs, but I want to highlight their sweeter sides too, particularly Billie, to show what genuinely kind and goodhearted people they are. This kind of stuff is way harder to find. Not for the lack of it, but because it's hidden in show footage (often fan shot), random interviews, and other places that non-fans or casual fans aren't going to look. I've got plenty of videos to go through to look for this stuff, but it would be a huge help if I could enlist other GD fans to link me anything that particularly stands out to them, their own favorites, or anything they come across that fits the bill. I'll take anything because even though I might have it, I've got so much I may not remember or it might not be something I'd think of. The kind of content I'm looking for might be something like when Billie gave his guitar to a disabled fan, or when he stopped someone who was bullying/pushing people around in the pit, sweet stories the band members have told during interviews, Billie getting emotional while singing a song. Stuff like that. I wasn't sure where else to put this. It doesn't feel right for the GD Q&A thread because it's not a direct question about them it's more involved than a Random Thought. If there's a thread that would be better for this, please direct me to it.

  8. Yes. It was very good. The video is not up on Spotify anymore, but there is a podcast still there. Someone (bless them) ripped it and posted it to youtube (below). Spoiler: Billie does not wash his hands... Landmark: Green Day podcast The East Bay Punk documentary is talked about quite a bit too in the podcast.

  10. You feel the urge to go to Nashville only to see Tre's burnt up drum kit .

  11. I know there are videos of shows where Billie is talking about Blue and how his mom got it for him, but I can't remember which those are. Anyone know? Btw the compilation is really coming together! I so appreciate the help from all of you!

  14. Thank you! One of them thought it was interesting/funny. The other thought Tré and Mike were super annoying, but Billie was mostly funny. They both really enjoyed Welcome To My Panic, so I wanted to pull them deeper into Green Day. That is also one of the purposes of this compilation.

  16. Yes he does! I swear like every time we see him recently, he looks even younger. If someone told me these were pictures from RevRad or even Trilogy era and I didn't know any better, I'd believe them.

  17. These are all terrific! Thanks, you guys! I was definitely thinking about the Rock Hall of Fame speech. That was something absolutely came to mind. Btw, I have done a funny compilation already. It's subjective, though, of course. I chose to not include many of the things that were on most of the others already out there such as the thong stuff and other risque things. There's a ton of that already so I went a little bit different route. I'm also by no means a proficient video editor and I mainly made this for my non-GD fan friends so they could get to know them better, but I did my best with the tools I have.

  18. Wouldn’t we all! Maybe @Slave To The Network could make two but only if she has time. I would like both, but just being greedy! @Hermione and @Montclare beat me to it with those suggestions, they are gold ❤️ How about Billie and his mum?

  19. This is perfect! I was thinking of that moment, but it's something I didn't have yet. I've got the DVD, so I could rip it from the bonus features there I suppose, but this is more convenient.

  21. It would be cool to have official support for GDC from the band's management because let's be honest: This is the best Green Day forum out there and has been for years. I joined the Idiot Nation (back when it was still called Idiot Club) for a couple of years for the ticket pre-sale benefits and other little exclusive things that I forget, but their forum never felt like home. GDC is where it's at. My worry about this forum and GDA having an official backing would be that it might make it less fun and more commercial. It's free for anyone, though I do donate fairly regularly, and it might not be if it became official. The best thing to come of that would really be the financial support for the website. Although, if Idiot Nation dissolved then maybe that's an indication that they weren't willing to put the resources into keeping any kind of forum alive. GDC is so special because it's fan run by dedicated people who love Green Day. That's what makes it feel so much like a family. We can fangirl and weave wild conspiracy theories about leaked songs all we want and no one can tell us not to. Speaking of fangirling, look at him!!! I still much prefer the black hair, but he does look wonderful! I've so missed the floof. FOAM era was okay hair-wise so far, but this is some 21CB level floof and I'm in love with it! Billie looks quite trim too. I wonder if he's been working out to prepare for touring.
