  1. Billie Joe (2019) - Everyone’s trying to write the feel good song of the year. Rock music is supposed to make you feel bad. Billie Joe (2021) - Everything’s gonna be alright!

  2. Even though I'm choosing not to go to hella mega this summer I'm still looking forward to seeing pictures of him during the tour. He will be as sweaty as ever, I'm sure

  3. Yeah, @Squashie beat me to it. It's the blown out blur of light behind him. I can't fathom how Billie is able to withstand being that hot. I would be concerned about him passing out. I guess he just has some kind of ridiculously high heat tolerance that borders on unnatural. I am such a baby when it comes to heat. Any hotter than about 72 and I get miserable and angry. Don't know how he does it!

  4. I don't think he's actually throwing anything. The blur fragments is part hand, part pic with the light/fire in the background. Although, if he can play a guitar with a potato chip, that's some serious talent.

  6. I had a dream a while ago that Green Day was staying at a hotel near my house. I went to the park and for some reason, they were there. Billie took my phone and took selfies of us and we hung out the rest of the day. It felt so real that when I woke up, I checked my phone for the pictures and they weren’t there ☹️

  7. Pollyanna is a lot of fun to play on guitar and sing.

  8. Oh yeah, like when he wore that same coat for the Foxies show at Eli's, took it off, and still had a sweater on underneath, and a t-shirt under that. I can't understand wearing that much while performing. The few times I've been on stage, I've just had a t-shirt on (and pants), and even that's hot.

  9. Had to share this. Needed to drive hubby’s Ford today, plugged my mp3 in and started to play Money Money 2020 pt I and it came up as World and Traditional Music 😂😂😂

  10. He's always been like that, the ultimate was in 2008 when he did that FBHT tour of tiny boiling hot clubs in the Southern US in summer wearing a thick fur lined coat. He did at least usually remove that half way through the show but still. He's crazy . No wonder he had to pour so much beer on himself

  11. If I remember rightly, his mic wires were all tangled up so he did this then hopped off to get it sorted 😂

  12. Well, if I have the choice between „Green Day makes overwhelming music that is so hard to make and it fucks them up mentally so they fall into addiction“ and „Green Day makes the music they just want to make so that they are mentally stable“, I would choose option 2. But I think that RevRad was a nice compromise between the two.

  13. 😂 Right? Which is proof we should never listen to a thing he says, he’s full of shit most of the time. What I like is that this song takes us back to the Longshot power pop sound he loves and is so naturally good at. To me it sounds like Green Day again already. I think they tried something different for FOAM, got it out of their system and are done. I doubt they intend to revisit that sound. But just like Green Day popularized punk when everyone said it was impossible, I think he really wants to do the same for power pop. He called it the best music that no one listens to which makes it similar to punk in that way. They’re never going to do another rock opera, concept record or repeat their successes of the past, but maybe they have a shot at popularizing an under appreciated genre again? I think he would love to bring power pop to the masses and do for the genre what he did for punk.

  14. How can you compare this lazy uninteresting song to the beast like 21st CB? It's literally not even remotely similar in anything and I'm confused why so many people here think that. If I had to pick the best album since 21st CB I'd choose Love is for Losers or Money Money 2020 Pt II. They're not GD albums but since Billie and GD made them I consider them Green Day material.

  15. Just finished listening to this and it is fantastic! It was such a nice, intimate interview. There's a good mix of history that we already know along with some new insights into what he was feeling when Dookie made it big or when they starting working on AI. The two things I really thought were interesting were is feelings towards 21CB and him reflecting on the Iheart incident. There was something really humbling to hear him talk about it and realize it was fucked up but then walk away from it saying he wasn't embarrassed by it. This is definitely better than any of the interviews we got during the FOAM era. I would LOVE to have a whole series with him like this. I could listen to him talk all day. And acoustic arrangements....beautiful. Absolutely stunning. It was so cool to hear songs like KYE and AI in an acoustic setting. Never thought I'd say this, but now I really want an all acoustic GD album Thank @Beyza for uploading this!! I'm so happy I was able to listen to it
