It was used as a stock image after Green Day commissioned it for the album cover. There was a whole making of the album cover, burning the radio etc. on Instagram I think4 points

OK, I love ranch so much I could bathe in it, but we probably should move on...3 points

OK GOOD I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s already reached the “shit, what am I gonna wear?!” stage!2 points

You’d have to ask them but I suspect it represents the values they try to hold on to to keep them grounded2 points

For song writing perspective, the song is good, but at the same time I think is was too much of the same vein of other love songs that the band used to write around that time. I mean, this is a better composition than Don't Leave Me, Rest or Judge's Daughter. I'm glad that people can hear it now and fest in what wasn't mean to be2 points

It was so much fun to be at the first club show of the Rev Rad Tour! You'll love it! It's kind of freeing to not know what to expect and just be along for the ride.2 points

Don't forget the ketchup. Hey wait... this album cover has ketchup too. I'm sensing a theme...2 points

Green Day will be featured along with Linkin Park in episode 8 of this series according to imdb and will air in July (I guess to coincide with the tour) https://m.imdb.com/title/tt14548048/episodes/?season=12 points

AI and 21CB had that edge to them as well. Even some of the Trilogy stuff did, but those records were the main turning point I think. The most striking contrast to me came with FOAM (obviously).2 points

The problem is, they have changed and strayed a long time ago. There’s no need to dwell on a “DIY” aesthetic when it’s fake anyway. They have professionals to design the art, so they might as well create art that shows for it.2 points

Thought I'd finally share this one. Recorded 32 years ago today!1 point

Just great to read that people are getting all hyped for the tour! You are so close seeing the guys live again! Still feels unreal. I have to wait another year, but you get me all hyped too with fuzzy/weird/ hyped feelings included! 😁 Can’t wait to see all the footages, set lists and everything else!1 point

I’m still at the “I’m actually going to a concert in two months” stage.1 point

But they're no longer a DIY band, so why pretend? It was clearly a stylistic choice, it wasn't a good one imo but it's the choice the band made. Also, after seeing all the pro-ranch talk, I think Joey Diaz said it best:1 point

Love it love it love it!!! Gave me thrills and the art work made me hungry 😂😂 Loved the fact that it’s super optimistic and full of meaning I also made an Instagram filter with the art work but without the BRATWURST ahahah so you can make your own art work with different dishes, or just use it as you like: https://bit.ly/3vdqOQM1 point

When you're watching a King of the Hill episode where Hank Hill is told by a doctor that his back problem is because he has no ass and you immediately think of Billie.1 point

I've only been to Milwaukee twice and surprisingly never had any curds there, but Bob Evans used to have really good cheese curds and I'm still bitter as hell they got rid of them 😄 I dug my neon green Mountain Dew Throwback shirt out of retirement (read: a bin in the basement) today. Those I've met at concerts know that it's become my thing at shows and it has a purpose again soon, the earth is healing! 🤗1 point

This hasn't gotten weird enough yet, haha. The new album cover: Billie Joe covered in ranch dressing. Maybe wrestling a unicorn, maybe just Billie.1 point

Green Day have said and done a lot of outrageous stuff over the years, but it was hotdog with too much mustard that got them cancelled.1 point

I was accused of trolling because I said Father of All was a 10/10. Not on here, but elsewhere on the internet. I don't understand why Green Day and Offspring 'fans' can't get out of the 90s and learn to enjoy new music. Yes, I know it's okay to be a fan and not love every single note a band has done. I get it. But anyone who likes all the Green Day albums, show some love here!1 point

I took me so long before realizing FOAM was a rip-off of AI lol I was blinded by the UNICORN1 point

Billie is threatening me to not let him down. I can't do this, I know I will let him and many people down. Why couldn't he just have sung to "I don't care if you let me down, everything's gonna be alright"? This is such an obligation. OK human, I'll try.1 point

True, and the FOAM singles weren’t anywhere near the best songs on the album so yeah1 point

speaking of tickets 😅 anyone selling a pit ticket for the dodger stadium show?1 point

In all honesty, I just don't get the Fall Out Boy hate. I mean, I get not liking their change in direction these days, but anything off Take This To Your Grave or From Under the Cork Tree is miles better than anything Green Day has released in recent years. They're not a bad band. And Green Day's probably a big reason they even exist. The only reason I hated them in high school was because they were literally TOO popular.1 point

Looked at pit tickets and ooooof I’m hoping some prices go down by the time it rolls around.1 point

The guy who did the Pollyanna art & HCTS is a professional. He created & delivered what the band asked.1 point

21CB had top tier art. That was the last GD era of truly brilliant album art. It's not like it's a huge problem, but if they decided to revisit working with some creative, professional artists again in the future rather than going DIY I would be very happy.1 point

Honestly hot dogs are one of my favorite parts of baseball games, so it's a good marketing strategy for people who are nostalgic for this summer ballpark tour.1 point

I don't mind a more positive vibe, but does it really always have to be the same cliche chord progression? I thought we've got enough of that on Love Is For Losers. I don't know, I hate to use modern hipster words, but the song is just a meh. Even if it is a throwaway song for the tour.1 point
