  1. I'm the worst whistler in the world. So everytime the song ends I'm like

  2. I was accused of trolling because I said Father of All was a 10/10. Not on here, but elsewhere on the internet. I don't understand why Green Day and Offspring 'fans' can't get out of the 90s and learn to enjoy new music. Yes, I know it's okay to be a fan and not love every single note a band has done. I get it. But anyone who likes all the Green Day albums, show some love here!

  4. Keep in mind if these two songs are going to be on an album, there isn't any rule that says they dictate how the rest of it will be. Remember we got gems like Sugar Youth and TTMAC on FOAM, so anything can happen.

  5. I would also love to hear more lead vocals from Mike and Tré on a future album! How about you guys?

  6. I’m giving them a listen. The Muffs are much more like Green Day than any pop punk band claiming to be inspired by them. It’s really cool.

  7. Worth taking a deep dive. Great pop punk band with power pop melodies. Green Day were majorly inspired by them

  8. Wow of course my show is the first one of the entire tour. Was wanting to look at setlists and stuff but oh well. Guess I’ll be surprised! I guess that’s actually a cool factor.

  9. In all honesty, I just don't get the Fall Out Boy hate. I mean, I get not liking their change in direction these days, but anything off Take This To Your Grave or From Under the Cork Tree is miles better than anything Green Day has released in recent years. They're not a bad band. And Green Day's probably a big reason they even exist. The only reason I hated them in high school was because they were literally TOO popular.

  11. But that’s most of Green Day’s catalog. What were you expecting? They don’t make instrumental music, they make music with vocals. You can’t take away an integral part of the piece of art and then complain about it. That’s like taking the sauce away from spaghetti and then saying that it isn’t good spaghetti.

  15. I do. I play different ones at different times, in different moods. I have realised though that I almost never just sit and listen to music, I am always doing something else which influences what I listen to. No idea how much difference this makes. With FOAM I don’t think the best tracks were the singles but I have been saying that since 21CBD! I have favourite songs throughout their career so far from (in no order at all) Going To Pasalaqua (which I can never spell), Christie Road, She, Letterbomb, Waiting, 2000 Light Years Away, Church On Sunday, Geek Stink Breath, Panic Song, Longview, Basket Case, Brain Stew/Jaded, Christian’s Inferno, whatsername, Haushinka etc etc so am always excited for what they will do next. Long may it continue.

  16. I know Billie loves The Muffs. The verse melody from State of Shock is taken straight from this song

  17. Billie is threatening me to not let him down. I can't do this, I know I will let him and many people down. Why couldn't he just have sung to "I don't care if you let me down, everything's gonna be alright"? This is such an obligation. OK human, I'll try.

  18. True, and the FOAM singles weren’t anywhere near the best songs on the album so yeah

  22. AI and 21CB had that edge to them as well. Even some of the Trilogy stuff did, but those records were the main turning point I think. The most striking contrast to me came with FOAM (obviously).

  23. I had a fairly long one the other night. I was in a text chain (or maybe it was voice chat?) with a coworker, some other person, and Billie. We were talking about social and political issues or something like that and I mentioned I had a dream last night where Billie punched a neo-Nazi (I have not had that dream… yet) and I was proud of him. Everyone liked that and then there was some planning to get together in person. I was super nervous and frantically running around cleaning up and trying to make the house look nice because OMG Billie was going to be in my house! I texted Billie and the others and told them to let me know when they were leaving so I’d have an idea of when to expect them. I wanted to know how much I could get done in that time to make everything look good. The scene changed and I was at a weird hybrid between and airport and a train station waiting for people (I guess we were meeting here, even though earlier it seemed they were driving to my house). I saw the other person, who I don’t know, and my coworker walking toward me and then Billie followed. He looked like he does in his off time. He was wearing jeans and a flannel and had shorter hair, but his bangs were hanging over his forehead and not gelled up like they often are. He had some scruff, but not a full on beard (which I was grateful for). It was still enough to complete the “I’m not working right now so I’m not all prettied up” look. I was still thrilled, though, because it was Billie. I didn’t really want to hug the other two, but I had an intense urge to hug Billie. The scene changed again and we were in my room this time. My room is very small and I only have one chair at my desk and then my bed, so there’s not many places to sit other than that. My coworker was in the desk chair, the other person was sitting on the desk, and Billie was sitting on my bed, leaning up against the headboard… on the side where I sleep. I was freaking out internally! One of the things I pride myself on is being an excellent host, so of course I had food and drinks for everyone. I brought up hard cider and charcuterie. I think that’s where the dream ended because I can’t remember any more. I think we were going to play board games or something.

  24. I think that's what he meant. That gritty, bratty vibe isn't really in his voice anymore. And while I do like his voice now, I do miss that dirtier edge he had in the early days.

  30. I've never seen this before. Must have been taken around the same time Billie was filmed sleeping on that couch in BIAB. He looks super cute!

  31. Interesting. I don't know if polished is the word I would have chosen, but I don't know how else I would describe it. I guess my best guess at a description would be that the way he used to sing had more of a visceral grit to it that really projected from his very soul. It was still smooth and clear, but it had that underlying emotional depth. Now when he sings it's like he's got the technical prowess, but the depth has fallen by the way side. There are very few songs that I can name recently outside of ones like Brutal Love that seem to have as much of that.

  32. Hopefully soon! Yeah interestingly enough, I had drinks with the marketing manager for Warner Canada tonight and he mentioned in passing how’ there’s a new Green Day album. Being released this year

  34. There has been so much Billie could write about this past year, Covid, BLM, the election, and all the political unrest! Pollyanna already addresses the optimism for the near future!!!

  35. It’s a bop, I wasn’t expecting it nor would I have bet on their next release being such a positive one with Billie’s bright voice but think we could use a little positivity!

  36. This is correct! Yes the FOD is exactly the same pedal, we just put a three position mid switch in place of the scoop button. There will be new dookie versions later this year. bill

  43. AAAAHHHHH! Look what showed up! Here are all of the cards for those who didn't order them and want to see them (quality is better if you enlarge the images)! Looks like Fink and The Snoo have the exact same stats. I wonder what's up with that. And why is Van Gough so fucking fast?! For anyone wondering, I added all their stats and Fink, Snoo, and Van are all tied at 27.5. Balducci is next at 26, Z is 25.5, and Captain Underpants is the weakest at a measly 22. What do these stats even mean? Who the hell knows. Fun fact: Snoo's card has a typo on it. It says "...entertained dozens though the years..." when it should say through.
