  1. this feels soooo wrong i think the US only reached around 40% full vaccinated people? you need minimum 70-80% to have sth like a heard immunity in the best case the hellamega teaser video gives you the feeling that everything is alright again and there is no problem to have full packed stadions meanwhile here in germany in some areas you are not allowed to go outside at night and you are only allowed to meet 1 (!) person max. i dont know how the world really looks like in the US but this feels so wrong luckily the shows in europe will take place later in 2022

  2. My girlfriend told me we will probably have a baby next summer. I really need to talk with her more often before planning big trip like this.

  3. Alright I received it. We will get refunded within the next 30 days. I wanna cry. Toronto was the closest to my home. I can't go anywhere else... Seriously it's heartbreaking.

  4. Agreed. We also have to remember that vaccines are not 100% effective and you could still get covid. Every statement from doctors I've seen on the news mentioned that you still have to be careful after the vaccine. I just hope we don't get bad news after all these tours happening in the US summer. On a personal note, it feels awful to see US going back to normal while we are living in complete caos in Brazil. I know its not their fault, but it still sucks.

  5. I have the exact same feeling. The US government is taking a big risk reopening everything with all the new cases and deaths they still have everyday. I hope for the best, but even if I live there, I would gladly skip this summer tour

  6. I know it still feels weird. They haven’t said if there will be any masks required or proof of vaccination

  7. Can't fully comprehend that I might actually be seeing Green Day this summer.

  8. I’m also going to have a ticket to sell for Philly. I think the show thread is a better place to do that:

  9. If we're waiting for herd immunity, we're literally never going to reach it though. I know it would be ideal to wait until that happens but I don't know what else we can do to get there. We have more vaccines than we know what to do with here, and they're completely free, and interest has plateaued. Ohio is literally doing a lottery with five $1 million prizes for vaccinated people to try to incentivize them. It's like satire. I see we're sending some to other countries now and it's the right thing to do. Give them to people who actually want them. I'm sure there are still issues with access for some people due to transportation/work schedules/language barriers and I hope we continue to try to target them in the coming weeks. But I still don't know if it'll be enough. It's gotten to the point where I feel like the country has accepted that we're going to be living with COVID like we live with the flu and other deadly illnesses. About half the country has started 1 dose of the shot (48%). I'm sure it'll bump up a bit once all children are eligible. Children make up about 1/4 our population. But still, 70-80% is very optimistic at this point. Vaccinated people are already getting really restless because we've done our part while the rest of the country is worried about getting microchipped. There's no way people are going to put up with restrictions for much longer — not just because of limitations on fun stuff, like this, but just from a practicality standpoint for industries like tourism and restaurants that are really struggling. Our country offers very minimal benefits for people who are laid off and the improved benefits due to COVID are being taken away next month. It's really not surprising things are heading in this direction. We had no plan but "wait for a vaccine" and it's here, but we can't force it on people. I mean y'all are obviously still welcome to come hang out — wouldn't be the first time we spent stupid amounts of money on this band, and won't be the last!

  14. I was too! We’ll catch each other on the next tour. As much as I wanted to attend a Hella Mega show, no one can pay me enough to attend one in the states this summer. Fingers crossed for some club shows next year!

  15. They called me crazy. But come July we will be enjoying ourselves some live Green Day

  16. Maybe a schedule change, but still summer? Like starting in August? Or with just some dates removed? Too much speculation again, dammit.

  20. Anyone hear anything about how to get access for presales for Columbus or Milwaukee? A few tweets/news articles are mentioning one on Thursday...

  21. Toronto being cancelled can finally be the best thing in the world. I'm supposed to go to Switzerland next summer. I have some friends in France so no need to pay for hotel/motel. Yeah I see this trip hapenning!!!! Tickets aren't that expensive in the pit.

  22. Honestly, I'd be very down to see the band in another country - Europe rock shows always seem to be an amazing time

  23. oh... wanna make a trip? ahaha Paris on July 2022?

  24. Yeah... I mean on one side I'm happy 'cause I bought an house and have a lot of expense so this money gonna serve. But it was so long ago that I bought those tickets that on another side I kind of forgot about this money. It was like a bonus to go to the show ''for free'' after 2 years lol. And I already took my 2 weeks vacation at my job during August so.... well yeah that's pretty sad to miss our guys for this era.

  25. Don’t see Toronto on the website so looks like that’s cancelled. Not surprising. Yay for getting $250 back!

  26. I dreamed that GD released a live CD of the RevRad Tour and I listened to the live version of Troubled Times, where Billie played acoustic guitar and the crowd went totally crazy. Waking up was really disappointing 😅

  27. Sorry, dates got confused. Either 2018 or 2019, where they swapped "Redneck" with "MAGA"

  28. Oh yeah like start with the August dates and move the July shows to September

  31. Noon https://www.instagram.com/p/CO3DpC9hz18/?igshid=1p6ghq51j3xvo I like this, but then they would post under Green Day, not Hella Mega where everyone expects it to be tour date related. Plus the radio station I posted said there is a tour date announcement coming tomorrow so this is referring to that. If they go ahead with this tour there would have to be some major adjustments. Some shows (like Toronto) would have to be cancelled, others can be full capacity depending on the state’s rules and with others at 50% capacity maybe they can add a second night and split the crowd into two? Then there may be vaccine or test requirements for all shows, masks etc. If so, I’d rather wait for a normal show next year.

  32. Maybe this is referring to the fact that Weezer was just at bat with their album and maybe this means Green Day is up to bat so to speak.

  33. Even before COVID happened they wanted to have another album done before the tour rolled around. Their intention these days is to put out music more often so I don’t think the teaser is any indication of anything tour related.

  34. "hey, we are sorry but the tour has to be postponed again, new hellamega shows now in 2022, covid sucks, here is a new song to keep you happy" makes most sense i guess

  36. I can’t paste the link because Facebook 😤 but a Pennsylvania radio station called Rocket Erie (you can search it) posted the Hella Mega tour poster and said “Tour dates announced Monday 5/17 at noon” Sounds like new dates are coming guys 🥺 I wonder if the new song tease is a consolation prize for the coming news.
