If Billie's going to tease songs he better get his ass back on Instagram and own it, the coy bastard.6 points
-
why do so many people believe in a full new lp? and even in 2021? just because of the tease we got? imo its a possibility, but i wouldnt get my hopes up right now5 points
-
Ah okay đđ» anyway, the lead guitar in this video is so different than the lead guitar in the original video and totally different to Billieâs âstandardâ setting, so I still assume this a fake4 points

I say maybe the single by July/August/September, and if theyâre following the same formula as FOAM, maybe February for the album2 points

Green Day always manage to create a unique guitar sound for each and every record. Very 70's punk and that is a good sign. Good enough that I can go ahead and call it. Album 14 is already the best album of all time. This song sounds epic. It either will or won't be the lead single. I am hoping for a slow, piano version of HERE COMES THE SHOCK. I wonder how many albums will forgo a power ballad? Are the Green Day fighting the natural process of aging so hard that they just aren't touching them at this point? Come on! DO IT! Magnum Ballads! Billie has "LIE" in his name.2 points

Unless it's a song like Hear Comes The Shock â then it'll make me feel worse.2 points

all we need is some claps and sex noises then we will know that butch walker produced it2 points

Every other band has dropped an album during the pandemic. Green Day technically hasnât (a niche side project and solo covers collection but not Green Day under the flagship brand name) so they really should. I agree if this was just a single they would announce it and drop it all at once like HCTS not tease an intro and show them in the studio. Theyâve all been quiet for six months. I smell an album.2 points
-
To the people complaining about the drum sounds being fake, the intro is just a click track, which is something the studio uses to keep timing right, after those first 4 hits the drums sound fine, at least they did on my headphones2 points

I really hope so too I would also be happy with some "punchy" punkrock songs, i am really curious in what direction they will move (here comes the shock was honestly a wrong turn haha)1 point

Fan account (@/greendaysminority) posted story about this account. Also, this account send a âđŻâ reaction to greendaysminorityâs story, so thatâs how this acc caught the attention.1 point

I have a question: how did you find it? The video didnât use any hashtags or tagged profiles and the name of the account is impossible to just randomly pop up in recommendations.1 point
-
Nah it was made 2 years ago I think during the Panicland shit. Don't remember the user who made this tho1 point
-
Why would a person create a parallel account to share a slightly longer snippet in comparison to what was originally shared? I can't really think anything of this song yet. I expected fast-paced songs like Bang Bang on the next record, which doesn't seem to be the case. Hoping the entire record won't go on this direction only.1 point
-
Hopefully not, that long period between single and album was extremely strange. And beside that, January and February are bad months for sales đ1 point
-
Is not like that. I don't remember who said it (Billie or Butch) but the thing was the band sent Walker the song, and he added ideas (like the added guitar you mentioned) but Billie like that much that he decided to leave it as it is. Is not like Butch asked to be in the record, is just the band wanting to move forward fast with the recording1 point

If the Hella Mega Tour happenned next summer, I have doubts about the Toronto date. It will be canceled. Toronto took the decision this past week to cancel all major outdoor events until next september. The concert should be happenning inside the Rogers Centre. It is considered a indoor event even if it is a stadium with a roof that can open. It is riskier to get covid inside than outside. Since major outdoor events are officially canceled, then major indoor events should be canceled too. Also, add to this that Canada-US border might still be closed until fall and that Ontario's provincial borders are closed too.1 point

I don't think it's Mike doing it on the studio version. I don't think he really even does any backing vocals on their albums anymore. Billie at least does most of them anyway and the backing vocals on that track sound more like Billie than Mike imo Can anyone actually confirm what backing vocals (if any) Mike does on their new albums (like since 2012). He's always credited but whenever I hear backing vocals since 21CB, it's either Billie or I can't tell if it's Billie or Mike. The last Mike vocals we've got on a gd album afaik is that one line on Sex Drugs & Violence1 point

Expect nothing and accept everything, expect nothing and accept everything, expect nothing and accept everything. I still have a trauma from MOOTIK đ1 point

What time specifically? I listen to that song all the time and I never heard that lmao1 point

I always thought it was Billie who was responsible for the sex noises đ They definitely predate Butch1 point

I wouldnât go by that though, Billie says a lot of things that never quite happen the way he says it will1 point

Does anyone not remember @Matt.? He was one of the moderators on here that always gave us little nuggets of info. I canât seem to tag him so Iâm assuming either heâs no longer active or changed his profile name OMG Matt itâs you!!!1 point

According to what we witnessed in Cuatro, or whatever the documentary was called, it wasnât Robâs idea to do three albums.1 point

If they ditch the retro vintage funk sound they did last time and this time go for something thatâs more current mainstream alternative sounding Iâd be all right with that if the songs are good.1 point
