  2. If Billie's going to tease songs he better get his ass back on Instagram and own it, the coy bastard.

  3. why do so many people believe in a full new lp? and even in 2021? just because of the tease we got? imo its a possibility, but i wouldnt get my hopes up right now

  4. Ah okay šŸ‘šŸ» anyway, the lead guitar in this video is so different than the lead guitar in the original video and totally different to Billieā€˜s ā€žstandardā€œ setting, so I still assume this a fake

  5. I forgot that he can do that voice. It's kind of disturbing.

  6. Yeah to be fair we got - A Green Day album right before covid became a global pandemic - An album's worth of cover songs + live performances from home from Billie - A random new Green Day song - A 25 song double Network album + music videos We haven't exactly gone without

  7. Love to see my little artwork is still around

  8. I shout out GDA whenever I can, and am so excited about covering a Green Day era for the first time. Hopefully I can be the first to get Green Day news and bring it you guys. But you guys are very good at getting it first. Weirdo power! Weirdos unite!

  11. Solstice Summer 2021. I knew it!! My favorite part of GDC. THE SPECULATIONS!

  12. October or November would be much better

  13. I say maybe the single by July/August/September, and if theyā€™re following the same formula as FOAM, maybe February for the album
    2 points
  14. Before the tour starts, whenever that is?

  15. Summer is a bad moment to release an album so maybe September ?

  16. Back up vocals in Graffitia were Butch Walker.

  17. Please start fresh, being new material for HM and cast the FOAM and "Here Comes the Shock" era into the fucking sun

  18. As usual, GDC overreacting. Weirdo

  19. Green Day always manage to create a unique guitar sound for each and every record. Very 70's punk and that is a good sign. Good enough that I can go ahead and call it. Album 14 is already the best album of all time. This song sounds epic. It either will or won't be the lead single. I am hoping for a slow, piano version of HERE COMES THE SHOCK. I wonder how many albums will forgo a power ballad? Are the Green Day fighting the natural process of aging so hard that they just aren't touching them at this point? Come on! DO IT! Magnum Ballads! Billie has "LIE" in his name.

  20. Unless it's a song like Hear Comes The Shock ā€” then it'll make me feel worse.

  21. all we need is some claps and sex noises then we will know that butch walker produced it

  22. Every other band has dropped an album during the pandemic. Green Day technically hasnā€™t (a niche side project and solo covers collection but not Green Day under the flagship brand name) so they really should. I agree if this was just a single they would announce it and drop it all at once like HCTS not tease an intro and show them in the studio. Theyā€™ve all been quiet for six months. I smell an album.

  23. To the people complaining about the drum sounds being fake, the intro is just a click track, which is something the studio uses to keep timing right, after those first 4 hits the drums sound fine, at least they did on my headphones

  25. I really hope so too I would also be happy with some "punchy" punkrock songs, i am really curious in what direction they will move (here comes the shock was honestly a wrong turn haha)

  26. Iā€™m kinda hoping itā€™s another political rock opera, with everything thatā€™s happened in the past year with Covid and all the political unrest

  27. I hope the new album will be a mixture of FOAM and The Network new stuff

  28. Fan account (@/greendaysminority) posted story about this account. Also, this account send a ā€œšŸ˜Æā€ reaction to greendaysminorityā€™s story, so thatā€™s how this acc caught the attention.

  29. I wish! I'd honestly way rather go see a show in Quebec than Toronto.

  30. Hopefully not, that long period between single and album was extremely strange. And beside that, January and February are bad months for sales šŸ˜…

  31. When do you think that the album could be released? I think that, if that person in the video next to Billie is Chris Dugan, they are already mixing it, so they already finished recording. If that's the case, maybe they release it in July/August? šŸ„°

  32. The video of this instagram account is so fake. They tried to immitate Billieā€˜s guitar set up but failed (like everyone else) šŸ˜…

  34. Bagpipe Otis of the Nimrod Kinda Oh no. Fight urge...to...make fake tracklist....oh no.... 2021 is the year of Pop Punk. Weezer, Dropkicks, Offspring and have all knocked it out of the park this year. Now Green Day and Against Me! are in the studio. Heck, Blink and Fall Out Boy just need to drop albums and we could have a HELLA MEGA WARPED TOUR, the biggest pop punk festival ever! If the Transplants, +44 and Flogging Molly announce new albums next, I will know I've died and am in pop punk heaven.

  35. I'm all for Sinclair or Shinn, but no one knows this band better than Rob Cavallo and he's produced the bands' two most well-known and successful albums. Unfortunately it doesn't look like he's produced anything in half a decade other than a song with Lil Peep. Another suggestion I'll put out there is Brendan O'Brien.

  38. This is fun, but getting punched in the face by a surprise album release would be even more fun.

  39. I always thought it was Billie who was responsible for the sex noises šŸ˜‚ They definitely predate Butch

  40. I wouldnā€™t go by that though, Billie says a lot of things that never quite happen the way he says it will

  41. I hope this record has nothing to with covid or this past year. I hope itā€™s reflective if anything but not about the past year of basically being alone and sadness and tragedy and being forced to be isolated. I hope itā€™s like that kind of writing he talked about on Welcome to My Panic. Him being isolated because of his heart and feeling withdrawn because of his heart and funny ideas and emotions. I hope itā€™s more like that. Maybe the past year has him thinking more like that but I hope the writing is personal and feels like it comes from a real place. Being personal creates more of a connection and resonates more with fans. I didnā€™t really feel that stuff with FOAM although that record was really fun. RevRad was ok for that. Trilogy the best and definitely got better with time and more listens.

  42. Does anyone not remember @Matt.? He was one of the moderators on here that always gave us little nuggets of info. I canā€™t seem to tag him so Iā€™m assuming either heā€™s no longer active or changed his profile name OMG Matt itā€™s you!!!

  43. If they ditch the retro vintage funk sound they did last time and this time go for something thatā€™s more current mainstream alternative sounding Iā€™d be all right with that if the songs are good.

  46. The Dookie branded pedals have retained value pretty well, the first run are going for stupid money, so makes sense for MXR to get the circuit out there in a non Green Day package. Really need to try one of these properly, liked the sound of the first run when I tried it but couldn't (and still can't) warrant a place on my pedalboard for one.

  47. I got my V2 pedal yesterday and it sounds great, but I have a question. The light on it should light up, yes? Mine does not light up when I turn it on šŸ˜•
