Hey everyone, it took very long but finally uploaded to audio file to youtube just to make it accesible for more people (hopefully if it will stay for an enough time) Btw, it’s also really easy to access freely from Audible, if you are from outside the us or whatever. I can also tell that if you’re interested.17 points

I loved the interview! His look was shocking lol, I literally almost didn't recognize him at first (more details on his appearance in the fangirl thread). There were multiple parts that made me laugh: "I stopped celebrating 420 about 4 days ago", when he brought up that annoying song "Friday", and his facial expressions when hearing certain songs . I knew serena williams was a fan, but apparently Billie continues to ignore her request to play Disappearing Boy lol. His reaction to Look for Love was hilarious, his face got SO red and he was laughing a lot. "I could sing it right now...but I won't". Also I noticed an Oakland Coffee bag in the background, on the kitchen counter. Overall it was really good to see/hear him again! He seemed happy and healthy7 points

But does he have to be a ciabatta roll? I feel that Billie is more of a sourdough kinda bread.6 points

Yes! I feel like he could say so much more. I was sad that Revrad to present and side-projects were completely missing, but he also didn't say much about Insomniac and almost skipped the Warning era. I would enjoy a longer version of this or maybe if it was a series. This audiobook format really works for him, because it allows for his unpolished storytelling, and it's better than an interview because it has structure and it's edited for easier listening.5 points

Hey guys, I'm uploading all these 8 fantastic acoustic songs in my channel, check below:5 points

With that look from the interview, he could sell a tractor to anyone anywhere.5 points

Very nice! Bit expensive and I'd rather have a Jaded in Chicago blu ray. @Yosuke Hanamura understands this frustration. It also feels random. Like why are you dropping this now? How about I dunno a livestream? Some unreleased live stuff?5 points

I think he enjoys letting himself go and then transforming himself dramatically for when he's on the job. He knows what we like! 😉5 points

😡😡 Two things. First, I still don't have my CD I'm gonna break everything. Second, and that's the most angriest thing ever, someone from GDC came to my stream like 3 days ago and wrote Amyl Nitrate; Popper Punk in the chat and then just left. I want to know your GDC username right now.5 points

Wow this is so freaking good. ❤️ I'm about half way through now, it's the coolest thing to hear him tell his story like this, without any interviewer, just him. Feels so intimate and like it's truly made for us, fans. There's a lot of info and stories I didn't know yet (or didn't remember) and these acoustic versions of the songs with some twists are so nice. 😭 My favourite so far is Good Riddance.4 points

Don't know if anyone shared this but quite a good interview to compliment the release.. https://www.vulture.com/article/interview-billie-joe-armstrong-green-day-history.html4 points

I hope that it will be released as a written book as well, I like books 😅4 points

I don’t know where to begin with this but let’s start with the music. All new acoustic arrangements of these songs! They sound like a full band but the credits at the end are only Billie did he do all of this himself? These are incredible! The full band version of Good Riddance I could actually imagine on Dookie. Basket Case has slightly different (original?) lyrics. Graffitia was so good acoustic I think it would make a great encore to the set on tour. I didn’t think they’d play it but maybe this version might convince them. Some of these sound so different they’re almost like covers by another band. If you had told me this was a cover band doing Green Day I’d believe you the vocals sound very different almost not like him. Really polished sounding though I want these released on Spotify as an album. My only regret is not a single Trilogy song again 😭 He talked about what a hard time he has listening to 21CB because it was such a stressful time but still played KYE. Just one Trilogy song? Damn. They skipped over Warning too but that feels like less of an oversight because the album is already acoustic. This could easily have been three hours there was so much more he could have talked about but if that sounds like a complaint it’s only because the time flew and it was so damn good. ❤️❤️❤️4 points

I loved him in the interview last night! I mentioned this in the Kimmel thread but I literally almost didn't recognize him at first lol. His whole look was kind of shocking. I admit I'm not a fan of the beard, but he was still adorable throughout the entire interview. His reaction to Look for Love was so cute, his face got SO red and he was laughing a lot. Loved the short sleeves, I found myself staring at his arms a couple of times. His examples of facial expressions when hearing certain songs were so funny. He seemed happy and healthy, which is really nice to see ❤️ After the interview was over I was smiling from ear to ear4 points

Beard during down time is fine. I like his ever changing looks. And the blonde is a better way to cover the grey. Wouldn’t want the beard during a tour though or official promotion for Green Day because it ages him. But if he’s trying to discourage the interest of fan girls by appearing less sexy it’s not gonna work because he’s cute no matter what he does 😍4 points

To me the vocal sounds even sadder. I think it’s the saddest and beautiful version I’ve ever heard3 points

I think the same thing that happened to Green Day Brazil, is happening to me. After 2 months of filling out countless forms, I finally got my account back today. 10 minutes later, before I even got the chance to actually do anything, I get disabled again of "not following community guidelines." Now they're saying that they won't be able to reactivate it. I keep getting the same email. I've probably filled out like 20 forms today. I've replied to almost all of their emails. It's absolutely fucking ridiculous. "Sorry for any inconvenience?" The audacity of them to say that, and then take it all away 10 minutes later. I need help. I don't know what else to do. Can someone please give me some guidance? I know that other people here have been in a similar situation. I know that the instagram help center isn't gonna do shit. I'm just incredibly frustrated, and incredibly pissed off at Instagram. They need to get their shit together. If anybody has any information that can help me, please let me know. I'm desperate.3 points

Haha he would think we were absolutely crazy. Maybe we are, but that's ok 🙃3 points

OMG that was such a good listen - like @pacejunkie punk said, where to begin! His lovely voice and laughing, speaking about his dad, Mike, Tre and Adrienne, the songs! It was nice the way he spoke about John and his importance, Woodstock, AI and iheart, how he's "a pretty sensitive guy", just loved it.3 points

OMG guys. I loved it!!! So much emotional! I could spend hours listening Billie Joe talking. And what about those acoustic arrangements? Simply perfection! Yeah! I'd love an EP too.3 points

OMG this says part 1 is 1 hour 26 mins!! Not had time to listen yet but so excited for this! https://www.instagram.com/tv/CN9e6FfhFMO/?igshid=1drm51ag1omt3 so this is a short sample (5 mins) and sounds like Billie just sitting talking about meeting Mike, writing early songs but also has a little snippet of him playing and singing - not going to say anymore and spoil it, sounds awesome!3 points

He has to be a sourdough foccacia (Bay Area is famous for its sourdough and foccacia is Italian). And it's delicious3 points

I thought it was olive Foccacia, is this some deep, subliminal explanation of all our feeling about BJ? 😂😂3 points
-
Yes! Sourdough is by far my favorite kind of bread, and Billie is my favorite, therefore Billie is sourdough. 😄3 points

I wonder if it wasn’t for his celebrity and public job if he would really have let himself go at this age and this is a glimpse of what he would look like all the time (and maybe even a few pounds heavier). He does put a lot of effort into his “look” when he’s on the job.3 points

I agree, it's much sadder, but I also think this calmer, acoustic version fits the song the best. It's more... vulnerable? Like it's not hiding behind the big full band sound that makes the album version seem more upbeat. I like all the acoustic arrangements. I was listening to it on shitty old speakers, so maybe I'm wrong, but did I hear some accordion on Know Your Enemy? I love the folk punk twist to this song. And American Idiot has cool guitars, it's sort of country-ish.2 points
