After Fire, Ready, Aim and HCTS I really wish I was rich enough to pay them more than NHL does to not release these songs.4 points

I wish he was back on Instagram. As much as I like old pictures/videos of him, it's time we need new ones too...4 points

Another example would be 'Hey Soul Sister' or literally anything else by Train. I want to make myself clear: I do NOT think OW is in the same category as a WGWAAG song. It's of a much higher caliber than that. The guitar in OW just provokes that association for me and I have to reset myself and realize "This isn't a shitty douchebag song. It's Billie. You're going to be fine." On an unrelated note, here's a really pretty picture of Billie.4 points

It's not a Red vs Blue states issue,Bubba. It's a public health crisis. But by all means, good luck getting Billie Joe to do a red states only tour. Oh wait he's running for president in 2024 as a Republican so yeah! Let's go!4 points

I don’t mind FRA it is a good hockey song but also it’s fun to listen to on its own. It’s simple but doesn’t come off like a parody to me the way HCTS does with all the familiar signature lines and gimmicks2 points

I'd be glad to forgot this song, but atleast this one is harmless and short unlike certain JoS copycat from their worst album ever.. If I'm being serious, this song is still very bad in Green Day's standard and yes it's just NHL song, but so was Fire, Ready, Aim and that song was great, especially the version where it just starts with guitar and everything else is gone from the intro. Check it out if you haven't heard it yet.2 points

When I was 19 I moved overseas (first time living away from home). After six months I was attacked in broad daylight and had to have my head stitched back up. After that I couldn't stand being in crowds/crowded places and I'm still not a great fan of people getting too close but back in 2010 I managed to go back into the pit at a GD show and I've never looked back. Since then I've been back to the city where the attack happened and been on the front row which was like a mega achievement for me. Long and short of the story I think it just takes time2 points

I know some people disagree, but I would still love to see Green Day at the half time show. And while I'm not a Guns N Roses fan, I would even take them for halftime. I just miss rock acts at these things. There have been some great pop stars doing the halftime, like Bruno Mars, Prince, Madonna, etc. but the last few years have just been a huge stinkorama. Maroon 5? The Weeknd? Coldplay?? Next thing you know they'll get Imagine Dragons2 points

I was recently diagnosed with panic disorder and it's been hell to deal with. I remember reading on several occasions that Billie Joe also suffers from anxiety/panic disorder and would like to know if he has ever mentioned it or talked about it besides the lyrics to Basket Case.1 point

You don’t legitimately believe these gigs are going ahead? It won’t be happening this summer anywhere. No large scale gigs will nor should they1 point

Jesus fucking Christ.... It’s going to be safe this summer most likely with how vaccinations are going. If Gavin. Newsom And Cuomo are too stupid to open up and keep up the disaster that they’ve created in their states then cancel those dates and do the rest.1 point

How about this: Green Day are mocking themselves with "Here Comes the Shock", making fun of their latest albums and sounds. They know people didn't like them so they are ripping that style apart with biting cynicism and ferocity. It's something they learned from Bad Religion. A little thing I like to call quadruple sarcasm. You don't know what the band is against, because their songs are so sarcastic while being sarcastic that you can't tell if their sarcastically sarcastic or just sarcastic. When in reality they are being sarcastically sarcastically sarcastically sarcastic. Quadruple Sarcasm.1 point

I’m taking a trip down memory lane today for the anniversary of my first Green Day show and looking back at Billie’s best tweets from the RevRad tour. This one has to be my all time favorite 😂1 point

I'm pretty sure that there is absolutely no way of knowing how much Jason actually wrote for Trilogy tracks unless The Boys themselves tells it, but looking at solos it's pretty easy to compare what is Jasons (Stop When The Red Lights Flash) to Billies (Makeout Party, Dirty Rotten Bastards, Loss of Control, Let Yourself Go etc) and then there is of course Lady Cobra where both play their own solos. Then there are solos where you can't tell at all is Jason or Billie playing the solo (like Missing You) or other songs that I wouldn't know without seeing Cuatro (Carpe Diem and Sex Drugs and Violence - both from Billie). But these are just boring assumptions; during Cuatro, Billie mentioned that Jason is on the right side of the speaker. Lets assume that if Jason is on the right, he also wrote it and vice versa with Billie. With this huge knowledge, we can tell exactly who played solo's in Trilogy and maybe tell also who played the riffs. Before I begin, let me just say that this list is made with my own ears, they might lie to me but I'm pretty sure most of these are correct. Let's start with Uno! Nuclear Family: Jason (Intro riff + Rhythm), Billie (Lead + Solo) Carpe Diem: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Stay the Night: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Let Yourself Go: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Kill the DJ: Jason (Rhythm), Billie (Lead + Solo) Fell for You: Billie (Lead + Both solos), Jason (Rhythm) Loss of Control: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Troublemaker: Jason (Lead and possibly solo), Billie (Rhythm) Angel Blue: Jason (Lead + Solo), Billie (Rhythm) Sweet 16: Jason (Rhythm), Billie (Lead + Solo) Rusty James: ??? (For me it sounds like Jason is doing intro riff + both solos, but not sure at all) Oh Love: Jason (Rhythm + First part of the solo), Billie (Lead + Second part of the solo) Dos! (No wonder I love this album) See You Tonight: Billie (Everything) Fuck Time: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Stop When the Red Lights Flash: Jason (Lead + Solo), Billie (Rhythm) Lazy Bones: Billie (Lead, Rhythm and Solo), Jason (Melody during 2nd verse and after 2nd chorus) Wild One: Billie (Lead + both solos), Jason (Rhythm) Stray Heart: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Makeout Party: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Ashley: ??? (Solo is from Billie but otherwise zero idea who is playing what because of those double-guitar parts) Baby Eyes: Jason (Lead), Billie (Rhythm) Lady Cobra: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm + Solo) Nightlife: Billie (Solo), Jason (Rhythm) - Can't tell is Billie playing anything else than solo in this song Amy: Billie (Everything) Tre! Brutal Love: Jason (Lead), Billie (Rhythm + Solo) Missing You: ??? (Absolutely no idea at all) 8th Avenue Serenade: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Drama Queen: Billie (Acoustic + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) X-Kid: Jason (Lead + Solo), Billie (Rhythm) - I was very surprised hearing Jason doing the solo and not Billie Sex, Drugs and Violence: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) A Little Boy Named Train: Jason (Lead + Solo), Billie (Rhythm) Amanda: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Walk Away: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Dirty Rotten Bastards: Billie (Lead + all 3 solos), Jason (Rhythm + 2nd Solo) 99 Revolutions: Jason (Lead + Solo), Billie (Rhythm) The Forgotten: Billie (Piano), Jason (Solo) There you have it. Does everyone else in GDC agree with this most accurate list of who plays what during Trilogy? Alsoalso, if you have ears, consider listening Missing You and telling me who is playing what 'cause my ears just flew off.1 point

I've just watched this video that @pacejunkie punk posted in the Random Green Day Thoughts thread, and Billie mentions cunnilingus at 1:07. I never noticed his oral fixation until it was mentioned in the old fangirls thread, but since then it's just been cropping up everywhere. Also, in the first pic in the video, Billie's happy trail is so hot.1 point

I have actually wanted to start a thread about this for a long time. I have been diagnosed with GAD (General Anxiety Disorder) and panic attacks. And not that I'm promoting it but I'm prescribed a benzodiazepine called Klonopin. After being on it for a little I remembered that Billie had anxiety and it made me feel better and more normal cause someone that I have looked up to my whole entire life had the SAME mental health issues as I did! Made me feel a lot better about my condition...but then I remembered the iHeart Radio incident...he admitted he was on anxiety medicine, insomnia medicine, and was drinking throughout the day. Although he did not want to say what medicine he was on, I could only imagine it had to be something like Klonopin, and that shit kinda scared me. He said he went through insane withdrawals (lying on his bathroom floor in agony) and that the whole experience was basically hell. I don't want to go down that road, but I guess everyone's different. Anyway, moral of the story is, I still look up to him and almost praise him for dealing with his anxiety for so long. Maybe one day I'll be as big a rock star as he is ......with anxiety and that's okay!!1 point
