  1. I'm no industry insider but I'd bet that's it. Then they aren't liable for anything if local governments don't allow stadiums at full capacity this Summer. There's zero chance these shows happen this year. They aren't gonna do a Texas /Florida tour. The only question now is does the tour get cancelled or pushed til 2022. Texas and Florida, sure. Just because we're tired of the pandemic doesn't mean it stops. That's not how Science works. Especially with reports of new emerging variants. There's a reason why there have been pretty much zero new major tours announced for this Summer. Everything big (Hella Mega, Motley/Def Lep, Guns N' Roses, Sad Summer etc) got pushed from last year. Pearl Jam had a good twenty plus US/Canada sold out arena shows scheduled for 2020 and didn't even announce new dates yet.

  2. Ordinary World is one of my favorite GD songs, but I only listened to the Miranda Lambert version once. That was enough. Billie should have performed it with Norah. With Norah, they're singing together. With Miranda, it's like two people who happen to be singing the same song at the same time, but that's it. They didn't complement each other.

  5. Ordinary World is fine. It's a nice song, but I still hate that it's the closing song on RevRad. I think Forever Now is a better fit. And the Miranda Lambert version is horrible. I still don't understand why they picked her to sing the song with him.

  6. Maybe he crocheted the unicorn

  7. We are talking about crochet on the Green Day Instagram thread. Which honestly is nice and all but... I hope Billie come back to social with something crazy and fun. Maybe a new project or maybe absolutely nothing. I don’t care if it’s nothing. I hope it is nothing. We have been so spoiled will three albums during the pandemic? They were amazing especially with all the concerts being cancelled/postponed. Mostly I hope he’s taking care and figuring out what makes him happy. And that he comes back to Instagram. It’s a lot more fun with him around.

  8. Ugh, I tried to make a snail and failed. Youtube videos make things look so easy. Oldest dog ever was an Australian Cattle Dog. 29 years old. And there's your random fact for the day.

  10. Agree with the first two but Walk Away shouldn't be that high on priority list; its guitar intro is really good and song doesn't suffer that much from not having more gain in guitars. Beautiful song, but I wish Billie would've written little more in to chorus than just Walk Away (some things never change seeing Here Comes The Shock suffers from the very same thing) and key change in the end feels really unnecessary. I'm very surprised Billie didn't make Otix mix for Stay the Night considering that is one of his favorites from Trilogy (he plays it almost every time with Longshot). That songs needs more power that Uno! version lacked heavily and the same thing can be said with many other Trilogy songs; Loss of Control, Let Yourself Go, Angel Blue, A Little Boy Named Train, 99 Revolutions and so on. Fuck I love Trilogy.

  11. Just recently rediscovered these. I'm a big fan of the trilogy but these mixes take it next level. Lazy Bones and Oh Love in particular sound much better. Next one please. 1. Missing You 2. Nuclear Family 3. Walk Away

  12. https://loudwire.com/machine-gun-kelly-travis-barker-cover-edwyn-collins-a-girl-like-you-paradise-city-trailer/ THE 40 BEST COVER SONGS OF 2020 Billie Joe Armstrong, "That Thing You Do" (Originally by The Wonders) The Green Day frontman hopped into action right at the beginning of the Covid-19 restrictions, starting a series of covers to keep fans entertained while at home. The covers eventually turned into an album titled No Fun Mondays named after his series. While there were a number of great covers to choose from, we’re spotlighting “That Thing You Do,” which was penned by Fountains of Wayne songwriter Adam Schlesinger for the 1996 film of the same name. Schlesinger died from Covid-19 on April 1 at the age of 52. The Armstrong cover, in honor of Schlesinger, recalls the brilliant pop sensibilities and catchy hooks that the musician was known for.

  13. I need to post this here because LOOK AT THIS CUTE BOOOOOOY! I just want to hug him!! 😍 I don't care for that song to begin with so I will certainly not be listening to a Miranda Lambert duet.

  14. Wondered if it was crochet. I think my mom does both. Wow, 15 and 17 are really old for cattle dogs. They must be very well loved and cared for.

  20. I'm pretty sure that there is absolutely no way of knowing how much Jason actually wrote for Trilogy tracks unless The Boys themselves tells it, but looking at solos it's pretty easy to compare what is Jasons (Stop When The Red Lights Flash) to Billies (Makeout Party, Dirty Rotten Bastards, Loss of Control, Let Yourself Go etc) and then there is of course Lady Cobra where both play their own solos. Then there are solos where you can't tell at all is Jason or Billie playing the solo (like Missing You) or other songs that I wouldn't know without seeing Cuatro (Carpe Diem and Sex Drugs and Violence - both from Billie). But these are just boring assumptions; during Cuatro, Billie mentioned that Jason is on the right side of the speaker. Lets assume that if Jason is on the right, he also wrote it and vice versa with Billie. With this huge knowledge, we can tell exactly who played solo's in Trilogy and maybe tell also who played the riffs. Before I begin, let me just say that this list is made with my own ears, they might lie to me but I'm pretty sure most of these are correct. Let's start with Uno! Nuclear Family: Jason (Intro riff + Rhythm), Billie (Lead + Solo) Carpe Diem: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Stay the Night: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Let Yourself Go: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Kill the DJ: Jason (Rhythm), Billie (Lead + Solo) Fell for You: Billie (Lead + Both solos), Jason (Rhythm) Loss of Control: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Troublemaker: Jason (Lead and possibly solo), Billie (Rhythm) Angel Blue: Jason (Lead + Solo), Billie (Rhythm) Sweet 16: Jason (Rhythm), Billie (Lead + Solo) Rusty James: ??? (For me it sounds like Jason is doing intro riff + both solos, but not sure at all) Oh Love: Jason (Rhythm + First part of the solo), Billie (Lead + Second part of the solo) Dos! (No wonder I love this album) See You Tonight: Billie (Everything) Fuck Time: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Stop When the Red Lights Flash: Jason (Lead + Solo), Billie (Rhythm) Lazy Bones: Billie (Lead, Rhythm and Solo), Jason (Melody during 2nd verse and after 2nd chorus) Wild One: Billie (Lead + both solos), Jason (Rhythm) Stray Heart: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Makeout Party: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Ashley: ??? (Solo is from Billie but otherwise zero idea who is playing what because of those double-guitar parts) Baby Eyes: Jason (Lead), Billie (Rhythm) Lady Cobra: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm + Solo) Nightlife: Billie (Solo), Jason (Rhythm) - Can't tell is Billie playing anything else than solo in this song Amy: Billie (Everything) Tre! Brutal Love: Jason (Lead), Billie (Rhythm + Solo) Missing You: ??? (Absolutely no idea at all) 8th Avenue Serenade: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Drama Queen: Billie (Acoustic + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) X-Kid: Jason (Lead + Solo), Billie (Rhythm) - I was very surprised hearing Jason doing the solo and not Billie Sex, Drugs and Violence: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) A Little Boy Named Train: Jason (Lead + Solo), Billie (Rhythm) Amanda: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Walk Away: Billie (Lead + Solo), Jason (Rhythm) Dirty Rotten Bastards: Billie (Lead + all 3 solos), Jason (Rhythm + 2nd Solo) 99 Revolutions: Jason (Lead + Solo), Billie (Rhythm) The Forgotten: Billie (Piano), Jason (Solo) There you have it. Does everyone else in GDC agree with this most accurate list of who plays what during Trilogy? Alsoalso, if you have ears, consider listening Missing You and telling me who is playing what 'cause my ears just flew off.

  25. Yes it is crochet, it’s called amigurumi to make little toys like that. I learned how over the quarantine it’s actually not hard if you have the pattern. I made simpler ones. When you’re good you can figure out the pattern yourself like this person did and create anything.

  26. I am shocked! And GD even told us "Here Comes the Shock", but I didn't imagine it to be at the slander crusade of "Tight Wad Hill"!!! People need to hear it even more, I say!!! Bump it LOUD! Engineering questions: A) What goes into a Remastering process such as this? B) Why do they always want to keep the backing harmonies so low in the mix? That's where its at! To my GD peeps who have not yet received the sacred texts yet... It's coming! And that beautiful, heaven crusted Warner envelope will find its way to you sometime soon! And it will be the best day of you LIFE!

  28. Why is Tight Wad Hill always considered the worst song from Insomniac? Every time I see talk about Insomniac, it usually gets mentioned as a weak point and rarely anyone mentions it as a favourite. It also has the least streams on Spotify for the album by quite a lot. And I see it on Worst GD songs list quite frequently It's not really a favourite of mine but just curious. I don't consider it any weaker than a lot of the other tracks on the album

  39. When you remember it's St. Patrick's Day and the only thing about it that matters to you is the anniversary of Billie's naked window post. What is that photo from? I've seen a few pictures of that event and Billie is extremely cute there. I've never bothered to figure out where it's from, though. Is it an interview? If there's footage of it then I'd love to see it.
