  2. Bonus of getting my sister into the Network- she started getting Oakland Coffee ads on Instagram, bought a coffee subscription, and gave me all the freebies that came with it.

  4. I am happy you finally got it! With the new action on this thread I am such a spoiled Green Day fan I thought no fun Mondays were back and there was a new song release. Green Day fans are so spoiled. I am spoiled. I literally thought the guy was doing No Fun Mondays again. And another wonderful spoiled typical Green Day fan trait: jumping to conclusions. Sometimes we are right though. I hope no fun Mondays and Billie presence in general comes back soon. It’s been too long.

  5. I keep saying I hope Billie does a NFM 2. Just think of what he could cover. Billy Idol, The Cure, Beatles, Ramones. Hell, I would love to hear him to take on something like Billie Eilish! The possibilities are endless!

  8. I feel like I've missed out on a lot by becoming a fan in 2010. I just happened to miss the 21CB tour, because I was just getting into the band and if I became the annoying fangirl I am a little sooner, I probably would have tried to talk my parents into taking me to see a show. Then the trilogy tour was somewhat bare, and I wasn't able to travel back then. RevRad was a nice exception to the rule and now firstly I absolutely refuse to go to hella mega and also there's covid, so again, no show. I think I would probably get to see them more if I became a fan in any other decade.

  9. Green Day fans are very passionate I will give them that and this is great. Please allow the band to grow and experiment and release a subpar one-off song for the NHL (or whatever is happening here) without having a fit. Green Day fans are the luckiest and most spoiled fans on the planet. Do not take that for granted. Support the band. They are amazing. We are lucky and spoiled and some of the comments on this thread is kind of disappointing. Some are exciting and insightful. Being a Green Day fan is amazing. Love it.

  10. @foxborohottub have you guys made any progress with Instagram? It seems like none of us have had any luck. Also just wanted to say thank you again for helping us out with this. We know that you're busy, and I know for a fact that it truly means so much to all of us.

  11. It was The Wall Street Journal not The Financial Times and in case anybody cares, I finally managed to find the article. Here it is, written by Billie Joe Armstrong himself (for real because a ghostwriter would have done a lot more polished job, but the stream of consciousness writing is actually really cool. It was nice to go back to re-read this). http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2014/01/04/green-days-billie-joe-armstrong-the-dark-traditions-of-phil-everly/

  12. I remember when that pic first came out, I liked it, but wished Billie's head was tilted down the slightest bit. Like this, it's just looking straight up his nose.

  16. I'd like to know, too. Maybe it's that he's particularly happy with some ideas, maybe it's the subject matter that makes these songs extra satifying to write. They're both inspired by political movements that were emerging at the time, so that could be what made these songs more exciting to write and perfrom.

  19. I wasn't paying much attention during the 21cb or trilogy eras, and my regret is that I missed the Foxies gigs then.

  20. As well as 21st CB, I also regret not being into GD as much as what I am now during the AI era. I'd love to travel in a time machine to an AI era gig, especially as there was one in my city in 2005 which was the last time they played here. So I'd go to that gig in my city, any gig from the 21st CB era, and I'd revisit my 1st GD gig which happened on the Rev Rad tour.

  21. For me it’s not seeing them (or knowing who they were) in 1993 when they played at a club just a few blocks from where I lived at the time. Kills me to only learn that years later!

  23. Mine is assuming they would release more dates for the Trilogy and not seeing them between 2010 and 2017 😭 hence I but tickets the minute I can now if they even close to getting to.
