I mean it's just a random song put out between albums for a sports promotion. It's not like it's a lead new album single or whatever. Not a good one to judge much from imo.4 points

That's pretty bland for a band as big as GD. Just look at the streams of the foos latest album or even weezer. It's sad actually..3 points

I wasn't worried about it. I just had to clarify since I was called out by a mod. đ€·ââïž Moving on now... I get my pictures from here and there. A lot of them may have come from GDA and GDC, but there's really no specific place. I always try to find the highest quality versions I can, though. I don't normally like the slicked back look on Billie, but this is okay because it's not too severe. Also nice to see his arms. He doesn't seem to want to show them off as much recently. I think the last time he regularly wore short sleeves was during the Trilogy era. There were some fantastic shirts during that time!2 points

Wow, of course he's The Fool. I know almost nothing about tarot and think it's just fun bs with pretty cards, but I do know that people don't seem to like getting that one.2 points

I'm still doubtful this will happen. It worries me that states are now lifting mask mandates and such. Its like please chill. Most people in the states aren't vaccinated. Why don't we wait a bit before start unmasking and lifting restrictions?2 points

No, I wasnât comparing it to other Green Day songs but I was just curious with all the criticism whether it was doing a little worse or a lot worse. Iâm actually surprised itâs gotten as many plays as it has. Many of us admit we stopped listening to it pretty soon after it came out. And since the consensus on The Network music is so positive and TLM was performed on Fallon and is their other most recent output (but definitely not Green Day đ), I wanted to see how they compared.1 point

Could be. I have created new Green Day Brasil instagram with other email and until now it's normal.1 point

Weird. Hard to put a finger on just what Instagram's deciding factors are for an account disable. Just when you think you've figured it out, you're proven wrong again.1 point

Has anyone noticed the one or two second shot of the aerobic girl from Here Comes the Shock in the Fallon performance?1 point

Itâs come to my attention that thereâs a fraction of Green Day fandom interested in New Age, which I got curious about so I searched and didnât find much except for this: thereâs a tarot deck that includes Billie and I really like the artwork on it https://www.instagram.com/p/CFHwqx-j1-N/1 point

No, there are good amount of pages that still being active and directly have âgreendayâ on their username but I think this getting disabled twice thing is really weird. I thought it might be about ip adress or again cannot have the similar usernames. I mean so maybe the other accounts that didnât have âgreendayâ on their username but still got disabled, will not be able to include the previous words on their usernames again. I hope there was a way to make sense from out of this stuff.1 point

Oh yes sorry, I totally forgot it was in Italian ahah it says: âTry again later weâre limiting some activities to protect our communityâ Your community it surely ok with 2 photo of 3 guys doing music, trust me Instagram ahah I donât know which are the bot settings because there are a lot of fan pages with Green Day in the name still up. I went on Twitter and read that itâs like sometimes Instagram target some communities, 2 years ago all BeyoncĂ© communities were taken down (one of them had 1 million follower). I also found this but I donât know if itâs true: This1 point

Though the song isn't bad, I've felt no desire to go back and listen to it whereas the Network I couldn't get enough of those songs. I listened to them several times in one sitting. One listen of of HCTS and I'm good.1 point

Can we stop with this "Anyone who's critical of this song just wants another AI/JoS" stuff? Literally nobody is saying they expected a JoS. I just expect any song with the Green Day label to be of decent quality. At least I did until quite recently. This track doesn't even compare against the band's older B-sides1 point

Do you not think that's an issue? The band churning out low quality music solely for the paycheque? The more I think about it the more frustrating it is. It's one thing to sell songs for advertising etc but writing/releasing songs because of a contract with a corporation doesn't seem to fit with the genre/band's values. To top it off it's a genuinely terrible, that's disappointing to me as someone who used to love the band, but maybe I'm in the minority.1 point

God damn, I don't even know where to begin with this. First off, before even listening to the song, for the first time in a very long time I wasn't excited to listen to a new Green Day song. That upsets me. I remember when the 21CB demo leaked all those years ago listening to it in my room with so much anticipation to see what direction the band were going in this time. But for this, I just already knew what direction it would be and that I wouldn't like it. The song is just so "meh" sprinkled with cringe. Someone put it best when they said it feels like the song was written by an AI computer or something. I feel like Green Day's music lately has lost its heart or spark. The lyrics carry no weight, and there's no meaning behind them, they're just.... there. And before you say it, no I'm not asking for another American Idiot or 21CB. Take a song like Devil's Kind. For me, that is one of the most well structured and brilliant songs Billie has written in years. It draws from the rock and roll inspiration Billie seems to want in his music, yet sounds unique to his style. That song is nothing like AI. It's simple and sweet. FOAM and this new track are lacking something big. I also agree with whoever it was that was saying that Billie's lyrics are starting to go the blink-182 way of feeling too forced and "teenagery". OK Human is a fantastic example of a band embracing their age, evolving their sound and writing an album that fits this stage of their career and feels natural. FOAM feels like a 50 year old squeezing into a dusty leather jacket and trying to go clubbing with their 18 year old son/daughter. I hoped Green Day would be the kind of band that would mature their sound as they aged. But it just feels like they are more and more desperate to stay relevant that they are forgetting what made them special to begin with.1 point

Even if people have disliked a lot of the newer Weezer albums, I give them credit for trying to create distinct projects and sounds and keep it fresh. All of their albums sound distinct. Green Day keeps just rehashing the "100% uncut rock" thing and they clearly can't satisfy that itch.1 point

the biggest issue are the lyrics, about tennagers, and anxiety in dance clubs, and shallow lyrics just for the sound of it. he writed more mature songs when he was younger1 point
