well, even if he never returns, he has no reason to. He produced some real gold that I had waited 26 years to see, so I believe he did gods work and i'll be forever grateful.

I would love an album filled with Irish punk bangers! Picture Minority and Dirty Rotten on steroids.... The real party album we've always wanted! And then :a tour with Dropkick that can only end with everybody soaked in blood, sweat, and booze. Families reunite, the poverty rate goes down, runaway dogs come home! Songs about girls, gangs, girl gangs, and chaotic ghastly parties in the moors.

It's probably gonna suck

I don't care what the next album is, as long as its good. FOAM pt. 2 is fine providing the songs are actually listenable. 21st Century Breakdown is probably the last Green Day album that still sounds fresh in 2021. The trilogy, RevRad and especially FOAM have aged like milk as they all have their problems (too many songs; shit production; awful songs).

As someone who is an ass girl, I concur. Billie's got a cute butt, but he's got nothing much back there. But Tre.....DAMN THAT BOI BE THICC

These Paper Bullets? I still want to hear Dreamcatcher and Oh Girl as a released b-side or single or rarity. The stuff he wrote after American Idiot and up until the Longshot that never saw the bright light of day seem really great and top of his game songwriting with lots of feeling and a meaningful storyline.

Only took me 4 and a half years, but I finally got to 3000 comments and can give myself my own title. In honor, The Rev. And of course Also, my 1000 post was Kevin spanking Billie, my 1500 post was Kevin biting Billie, my 2000 post was Kevin straddling Billie, and my 3000 post was talking about Polish donuts. 😂 Clearly I need the boys and their antics back.

What else is there? I'm all out of wacky ideas to throw at album theories. They've done so many variations on their Green Day sound, what else could be done? Album 14. Perhaps the guys need to sit down beforehand and say "we need to focus on the songwriting". Really put all the effort into song craft. Don't sorry about omage or paying tribute to any oldies. Write emotional lyrics. Big emotions and big guitars. The idea that it should be fun to play in your bedroom in front of a mirror is a great idea. Keep that in mind. And as always....Mike Dirnt vocals. One whole song. Album 14 is going to be good no matter what and we all know it.

I prefer a safe album. I love revrad, don't care for another one. But not a party album please.

Personally, I think Green Day needs to recording a new concept album. RevRad was safe zone, FOAM a bunch of songs without purpose, no mention about what trilogy was... for me, they desperately need a direction now. How about you guys?

MM2020 pt 2 has the most green day, green day lyrics since 1997. More of that sorta dark comedy feel. But tasteful and mature not FOAM

Wasn't going to go out today, but remembered tomorrow is paczki day, so I had to go get some. Now I don't have to leave again til Friday, so bring on the (additional) 8-14 inches of snow. Couple other Billie snow ones. I can clearly picture a couple others he had on his IG. Alas.

There's some truly incredible songs on MM2020ii, I'd love to hear Billie try out the Ramones-core kinda style he was writing on that record (Ivankkka, TOR, CUNT, TLM, CITNB, etc.). I'd also like to think that we're going to get something more grandiose for the next record, since they've always had their fun side projects precede their big statement records (Network 1 / AI; FBHT / 21CB). But obviously, this is merely speculation

I think we've all lived through (are still living through) a remarkable time in history, and there is still a lot to be said about where we've been (the rise of fascism, white nationalism, BLM, a working class left behind) and then the pandemic, and what it's going to be like coming out from under all of it, and how we feel about those dark shadows, and the absolute physical and emotional need to just break out, and be free to have fun, socialize, see shows, play music as loud as you can. There is a cathartic moment that is simmering in everyone, and if they were somehow able to tap into that, well, that would be amazing.

He looks terrified or completely caught off guard in 98% of promo pics...

So good...Love that he recognized what a moment it was for that guy he pulled up. He gave him a great hug and even a kiss...so sweet. I love seeing him so happy but at the same time reminds me of how sad he must be right now not being able to perform live. I love to see how he truly thrives on the energy of the audience. He must miss it terribly.

That actually reminded me of the pic I saw the other day which was Billie in a snowy weather!❄️☃️ I'd definitely like to see more pics of Billie hanging around some snow but I think it can be hard since he is from California and also he seems not a big fan of cold weather considering his face in that pic lol

After what this thread turned into, I don't blame him.

I will say that the racist connotations we first think of surrounding the noose are relatively recent history and more or less specific to American history. Hanging has been used as an execution method for hundreds and hundreds of years in all different cultures around the world. So I doubt this photoshoot was intended to reference the abhorrent and tragic history of the oppression of Blacks and POC in the U.S. specifically. Still, hanging is never really a good thing so I do see your point. I just don't think there was any ill intent behind the shoot. It was just to be edgy™ and provocative. Anyway... pretty heavy topic for a photos thread, 😬 so I'm gonna leave it at that and post these:

Yep, I said that a while ago and can hardly believe there is still nothing from them, they know how keen those fans are. I am hoping they are near to finalising something and waiting to make it one announcement.
