I have said this here before, but well I'm gonna say it again. When you get all hyped and excited, when you see the word "Green" in some poster or really anywhere, but then the other word isn't "Day" and you get dissapointed.4 points

Billie looks like a child who doesn't know what they're doing in that last gif when he turns his head and has this innocent look on his face.4 points

That is the part I like the least from HLAHG (the hot tub scene i mean) Where was Billie here and why couldn't the 3 play together??? LOL3 points

I'm like 2 days late but here's some Mike butt for y'all Tre's face as he stares right at Mike's crotch makes me laugh so damn much 😂3 points

It's blurred though! John Roecker used to tease that scene on FB all the time lol. I guess it had to be censored in the final cut. I think Billie's hair was totally cute, it's not easy to style and slicking it back seems to be his go-to when he does it himself. It's that or a bandana.3 points

FUCK I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!!!! I FUCKING HATE THESE THINGS BUT I HAVE TO BUY THESE!3 points

UMMMM YES!!! I FUCKING LOVE THEM! They are like my favorite invertebrates (aside from cephalopods)! I know, right?! Problem solving, memory, senses... all without any nervous system at all. They are literally just a slimy bag of cytoplasm and a ton of nuclei. I love them so much I wrote an article on them. Just gonna leave that here... https://creaturefacts.wordpress.com/2015/05/01/the-real-life-blob-slime-mold/ But Green Day! To keep it on topic! You know you're a GD fan when people at work are talking about the Super Bowl and all you can think of is Green Day playing the NFL Honors and how fucking proud you are of your boys and their amazing first performance in months.3 points

What about the Coverups? Ugh the Longshot account is still down. I hope it’s not gone forever. Oh yes Del Gatos. And they play Longshot and Green Day songs. And I think the singer is the same guy? Ok. Del Gatos. Yes please!3 points

The three of them look so innocent like little kids learning to cook / "What are we doing?" But Billie the most 😍😍😍 This segment was so weird yet so cool.2 points

They did approach GD but felt his history of peeing was not suitable ... (joke) but can you imagine 😂😂😂2 points

My dream last night wasn't directly about GD, but there was a GD reference. Me and a group of famous people were getting attacked by sharks while we were trying to shoot a movie. All the production crew just fucked off and left us there so we had to try and figure out a way to get out of there ourselves. Somebody discovered that singing Basket Case loudly made the sharks go away 😂2 points

Oh wow you kept one! I see them outside quite often but never thought of domesticating them. The bit about slime molds being used for modelling how the universe functions is exactly what’s spooky about them. They’re aliens spying on us. That’s my totally scientific theory2 points

I never thought Billie's falsetto was bad, just different. I agree that he's just gotten better and better with it, though. I really like it when he does that high scream instead of the "Wa ha yeah!" on FOAM and when he goes from falsetto to sexy whisper on Degenerate. This boy has no right to be able to make us swoon so easily just by singing a few words!2 points

When your high school sends out a form asking what songs you wanna hear in the hallways and you suggest Green Day songs even though you're not gonna hear it because you're a connected learner.2 points

Could be any Billie related band though likely based upon the one that is most logistically possible2 points

I think it sounds good in FOAm but rrreeeaaaalllly good in Degenerate, give me shivers 😜1 point
-
Now we’re assuming he recorded Degenerate later because they released it later but we don’t even know if that’s the case which is interesting. He could just have chosen FOA because he thought it was a better album track for that project. They were likely the same session.1 point
-
I wonder how people would have judged the falsetto vocal if they had heard Degenerate before FOA. He really hit the sweet spot there where it sounds soulful and funky and not silly1 point

Today I was listening to the Foo Fighters' excellent studio live performance on SiriusXM and it made me think: As much as I like to complain about Green Day's lack of live material (live EPs/albums or DVDs) in recent years, in many ways we've actually been rather lucky. I say this because with Bullet In A Bible we got a truly great live album that properly incapsulates their live sound. Their performance was top notch, the mixing and mastering is excellent and though (rather annoyingly) slightly incomplete, the setlist is also fairly decent, all things considered. Yes, I'd probably give a kidney for another proper live album, recorded in a club or mid-sized venue and preferably featuring loads of deep cuts (either from the 90s or early 2000s or even later, such as the House Of Blues 2015 performance etc.), but it's still great to have absolutely stunning live recordings of songs like American Idiot, Jesus of Suburbia, Hitchin' A Ride, Holiday, Minority, Basket Case, Brain Stew etc. The reason I also say we're lucky is because many otherwise great live bands have either no live album or some pro-produced material that is either badly mixed, recorded years after the band's peak or just features a very limited/odd selection of songs. The Foo Fighters are a great example of this. Staggeringly, they have no "normal" live album, just an acoustic live album from 2006, as well as two badly/weirdly mixed DVD performances from Hyde Park and Wembley Stadium, none of which fully incapsulate their live sound. Sure, those recordings are still a nice addition to their studio work, but anyone who has every seen the Foo Fighters live knows they'd deserve a proper live album. The mix of the SiriusXM performance from around 5 days ago actually represents the kind of heavy sound/mix that truly makes them shine. Great mix aside, they also sound the best they have in years! But all I can think about while listening to it is: "wow, that sounds really great, so why the hell did they never release a proper live album?" Of course, the other thing I can't help but thinking is "man, I reeeaaally miss live shows!". And I know a lot of you must be feeling similar. So, here's to (hopefully) a better 2021 and let's all hope we can get into the pit again at some point1 point

Slime molds aren’t from this world and they spook me to no end You have no business having basic problem solving skills when you have no brain! What else are you hiding from us?1 point

Are you sure it’s a good idea? If given the chance, Sam Bayer will make 8K detail shots of individual pores and his other hobby is zooming in super close on pimples. I’m a little worried how this would turn out1 point
