Today is the 4th anniversary of my 1st GD concert in Leeds, and I'm in my Rev Rad shirt listening to them and feeling super appreciative of this wonderful bands existence. The excitement when I found out I got a ticket; the increasing bowel movement in the weeks leading up to the gig; spotting an Armatage Shanks sink in the little girls room in the train station on the way to the gig (hilariously they played it after Billie asked what fans wanted to hear); the wonderful hotel and meal out in Leeds; Billie shreaking "England" in the intro to KYE; him shining his torch at my block during Holiday; his flat as a fart guitar at the start of Minority; the deafening pyro at the end of Forever Now; the really good fans who came up on stage; the amazing setlist by one of the best live bands. I had the time of my life there.

In 1994 when I was 17 years old I dreamt that BIllie pulled me up on stage to play guitar with him. This was before he started pulling kids up on stage to play guitar with him.... 27 years later Im still having dreams....last night I dreamt that I was outside the venue of a Green Day show. A bunch of us fans were waiting by the bus to see Billie. As he got off the bus he was saying hi and then recognized me from the 27 years of front row placements I've been and also recognized me from when I gave him a replica Blue I made at a Longshot show (both of these things really did happen btw 😁). He hugged me and I wished him a good show and he went on his way. Then MIke came out and I told him that I had sent a PINK version of Blue to Broken Guitars and asked that the proceeds to go to his wife, Brittney's favorite Breast Cancer Charity. He said that she had moved to Scranton, PA implying that they had broken up. I told him that maybe the proceeds could go to another charity. After he walked away I realized I didn't ask Billie for what I REALLY wanted and that was for him to write down the lyric from "Still Breathing" ....."Are you scared to death to live" so I could get it tattooed on my arm. That song and that quote came out at my lowest point of my life and it was the lyric that got me through it and I must have told a dozen people that quote who have also gone through hard times. I tried to chase him down but to no avail. I saw one of the big security guards and thought maybe I could explain what I wanted but I knew the guy would have no clue. Then I woke up. I just recently found a website full of handwritten Green Day lyrics and I'm going to piece by piece find the words "Are you scared to death to live" so I can officially have those lyrics IN BILLIE'S HANDWRITING tattooed on me. Don’t hold your breath. The original Lookout/Adeline CDs are not hard to find, and the Recess CDs are not hard to find either. 1234 Go isn’t going to spend money pressing CDs because they won’t be able to move them. These reissues don’t appear to be remixed or remastered, so there would be nothing different about the CDs if 1234 Go did make them. If I were you, I would go on Discogs and buy the Recess CDs (they have more artwork than the Lookout CDs, and two of the albums have bonus tracks not on the original releases)

I noticed that I’ve been not posting pics here for so long. I think the reason behind that I was not feeling it to post and be active here because of the absence of Billie and more importantly the on-going pessimism about the tour and new live shows made me feel unmotivated as a fan tbh (even though I’ve been posting gd pics on ig regularly lol). I don’t know if they are so much lazy as just in line with what they seem to like to do. So often they seem to go for a style or look when we just want great, clear stuff to fangirl over.
