I noticed that I’ve been not posting pics here for so long. I think the reason behind that I was not feeling it to post and be active here because of the absence of Billie and more importantly the on-going pessimism about the tour and new live shows made me feel unmotivated as a fan tbh (even though I’ve been posting gd pics on ig regularly lol). So now, we finally got some good and exciting news after so long, I feel motivated to share pics and stuff again! Here some very random pics:

I'm pretty sure the drunk bunny wasn't in the Pop Disaster Tour. And now that you bring back Pop Disaster I'm having a lot of nostalgia. You made me realised that Green Day use to open with Maria. What a way to start a show. I would love to hear this song live.

I feel bad that I thirsted over this Kevin pic so hard. I saw it and thought "mmm mmm mmm!" then I noticed he was sitting in a cemetery visiting Richie Valens' grave. 😬

Hi all, waiting for it to pop up on socials, but just had email from them Although they are very rarely seen in public Pinhead Gunpowder has been a band for 31 years and are currently constituted as Aaron Cometbus (Crimpshrine, Sweet Baby), Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day, The Longshot), Jason White (The Influents, Green Day) and Bill Schneider (Monsula, Dead Sound). There will be 5 phases spread across the next year with an LP, 7" and two exclusive t-shirts in each phase. Phase 1, due April 30th 2021, is the Jump Salty LP and Trundle & Spring 7"!Pinhead Gunpowder hasn't had official merch of any sort in years and these are truly special oversize prints. Jump Salty has been cut at 45rpm for the first time and it is LOUD. These are definitely the best sounding editions of either record to date. Each record is pressed on a mail order exclusive color (visible above) only available from our website and each shirt is available separately or as part of the Phase 1 bundle. I wanted to order 1 record each for me and a good friend of mine but $60 shipping for 2 12'' and 2 7'' is just too much. That would be $60 x 5. Too bad the shipping is so expensive since the records themselves are very (!) cheap.

I don’t know if they are so much lazy as just in line with what they seem to like to do. So often they seem to go for a style or look when we just want great, clear stuff to fangirl over. LOL! I remember in middle & high school I was always trying to convince my "hard-rock" friends that Billie was actually pretty decent on guitar. But to this day, it's rare for me to meet anybody who went from hating Green Day to liking them now. Haters always find new reasons to hate them. 😝 When they realize Billie's a great guitar player, they'll slag him off for his choice of clothing or whiney voice. Bullshit like that lol Oh and the worst is when people won't talk at all because... well ... they're "over that phase" lmao

After so many years I finally had a dream with Billie Joe in it last night, and boy am I pissed off! In true dream style it makes no sense at all. I was at a fitness class on the edge of the pavement in the Main Street of the city I live in with my about to be daughter-in-law and the instructor kept disappearing with our earrings. We gave up on the class and decided to go shopping as it was only 10.20. Walking past a bar which had been a night club 30 years ago, the whole front of this dingy little place with a basement opened and the GD crew were all sitting eating and drinking with Billie Joe behind the bar doing this wild cocktail type routine. He looked absolutely wonderful, very FOA fluffy black hair and shiny jacket so we went in and took a table near the front. AND THAT WAS IT!!! Didn’t speak to him, shake his hand nothing. 😭😭😭

I don’t think it’s about it being marketed to children. It’s just crush management not knowing how to promote Green Day. They’re trying to promote them like FOB and it’s back firing and maybe the band doesn’t care, but the album underperformed. I also want to add the just because Green Day is doing this tour doesn’t mean they cared who the tour was with. I think the main thing for them was that they wanted to do stadiums but they definitely couldn’t do it by themselves. I remember seeing an interview with Def Leppard and Joe Elliot said that they don’t really care who opens for them. He explained it as they handed them a paper that said Styx and Tesla and they were like “Whatever”. I think the same thing is kinda happening here where Green Day really don’t care who the tour is with as long as they can fill up stadiums. Especially after the billboard interview and the “Dream collaborations” question and then Billie walking off. The point comes back to the fact that Scott Nagleberg is an idiot because aside from 4 or 5 sold out shows and a handful of others that are close there are some markets ticket sales that are really ugly for this tour even before COVID. I think the Green Day/ Weezer tour would be great for arenas and amphitheaters but adding on FOB doesn’t push this bill to a stadium show aside from a few markets. If Green Day truly wanted to go through stadiums is with great ticket sales they should’ve done Green Day/Blink 182/Weezer or Green Day/Foo Fighters/Weezer. The point at the end of the day is that Crush sucks at marketing and managing.

Billie has said many times that he has a panic disorder. But yeah the part about his parents splitting up is ridiculous

The Longshot and FBHT will never truly be gone. We're still going to get songs from Billie that come from that part of him and have that power and heart. Maybe they'll be under the Green Day title next time or maybe they'll be a whole new side project. Who knows? The Network's return was a super cool surprise so who's to say there won't be more. I honestly think he will bring the Longshot account back in some form. He had so much fun with it and it let him interact with a little bit smaller fanbase than his main BJA account. I think he's just taking a break from both right now for personal reasons and to recharge. Knowing Billie, he's probably been writing (and possibly recording) a bunch of new stuff that we may get to see in the future. I still miss him a lot, though, and hope he'll be back soon.

The Longshot and FBHT are/were awesome. If the Longshot is gone forever that is really a massive disappointment. The Longshot were great and that album was amazing. It showed heart and promise of good things to come. If the Longshot is gone I hope it’s just foreshadowing more or if it’s possible even greater songwriting and story telling from Billie Joe. Those songs were great and meant a lot and resonated with many people in a meaningful way.

I'm still hoping the Longshot account comes back. Maybe he brought it back in the middle of the night for a minute and no one noticed. Or saved it elsewhere.

The Longshot account has been deactivated for two months now, I'm afraid that means it's been deleted (I think you can only deactivate an account for thirty days. The BJA account was brought back once to avoid this but The Longshot wasn't). I'm sad that account and all it's content is now gone I was hoping the side project would continue and we might see more shows and another album someday. I guess it doesn't mean it can't happen but clearly there are no plans. RIP Longshot 😥💔
