  1. I love Norah Jones she was so good with him I want them to write some original songs together https://www.instagram.com/p/CKiIWJ9B9hr/?igshid=mr95qu0lz81a

  2. I would consider HM if it was PATD instead of FOB. Yeah, I blame Crush for all the poor FOAM decisions. Some of them are just fucking baffling. I think the thing that still bothers me is how week of release was JAM PACKED with interviews and random performances......and then silence. And this was before COVID hit.

  3. Well, we are still waiting on that NorahBillie album.

  4. I hope it is just a break. Even with all of the negative aspects, it's still been a really good way for Billie to connect with us fans and share cool projects like NFM or do fun livestreams. It would be super sad to lose that. It's a possibility that he doesn't want to do that anymore, but I sure hope not.

  5. That N looked more Netflix than Network I guess it's over then... No more Network control 😢

  7. The ironic thing about the move is if it was made as an attempt to help them seem cool and relevant again the marketing made them come off like the oldest bunch of boomers you ever saw, stuck in some kind of throwback rock and roll fantasy world that couldn’t be more uncool

  8. Close but you're right that would have been worse. I honestly don't think I could have handled that with any sense of decorum

  9. I can’t sit through FOAM because I dance

  12. I beg to differ. They seemed to be embracing their boomer status. I don't even think they were trying to be cool. They did every show looking like Liberace threw up on them and sounding like every pop song on the radio. I think they were going for washed up, out of touch rock star. I'd like to believe that there's no way they'd do that unironcally. And they chose to tour with Weezer and FOB, so...

  15. UMMMM EXCUSE ME! Who gave you the permission to be that hot, Billie?! I don't see a license for that look, mister! It's the pic from Jonathan Weiner's Instagram post. Better to see it than just a link.

  16. Yeah sad but I guess they figure some people might check out their socials after the TV appearance and be confused. *pours one out for The Network* Let's hope that project was a hint of great music to come

  17. It totally was marketed to children, if it’s approproate for them is a whole another question

  18. And Mike by Jonathan as well. I haven't seen this photo yet. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKxEY67gNHM/

  19. So, because I enjoy - and like FOAM - I'm not a self-respecting, mature adult? I didn't realize that a 30-something was no longer considered a mature adult because of album they like... That's fine if you don't like it and I respect that you don't, but don't insult those that do.

  20. This album has all the same bells and whistles of every Butch Walker produced album and every one of them are shit. There’s a reason that whenever he tries to produce a more rock oriented band the album gets slammed. Maybe I should rephrase that he’s a great pop music producer but a shitty rock music producer.
    1 point
  21. Except that he isn’t. Sonically, the album is very well executed. If you don’t like the songs that’s fine, but that’s Billie Joe who’s responsible for that.

  22. Please don’t bring kidz bop into this. They don’t deserve that.

  23. Tell that to the dumb kids that ate that shit up like it was candy. I think their target audience was clear; they had the kid from Stranger Things in the MMOTR video. Exhibit B is just Graffita in general (that song sounds like fucking Kidz Bop). They're rich guys they don't need an album to sell a million copies, and they've been with Warner for so long that the risk of being dropped is slim. They can do whatever they want, and so they did. Maybe they had a quota to fulfill or something.

  24. I agree it’s good but from what I see and hear he does the falsetto part as expected. Gotta love his trilling (I think it’s called) and yes, we can call it barking I’m sure. He looks fantastic, I loved all the FOA jackets on him 😍😍😍😍

  25. I think we probably agree on that one, wonder how the band are feeling about that choice these days?

  28. Which leads to another question - was it a good choice to get with Crush?
    1 point
  29. The fact that they all had the same management made this lineup possible, so I guess this was the best combo among the choices they had. Not that they couldn't have gone to outside bands but it would have been a more complicated business deal likely. I don't know, I just remember them mentioning that in the interviews, that this happened because they were all with Crush.

  30. Don’t put that idea in the air. Big brother is watching.

  31. The amount of FOB hate here is surprising. It could've been worse. We could've gotten GD, Weezer, and P!ATD.

  32. Wouldn't the fact that the Longshot account still shows that there have been posts, are followers, etc, mean that everything is still there somewhere?
    1 point
  33. Well if this tour has accomplished nothing else at least I learned I really like Weezer. Now I hope to see them open for Green Day someday. I’ll go get cheese fries when FOB are on

  34. I re-listen the album again while drunk. Wow fuck Green Day.

  35. The Longshot account has been deactivated for two months now, I'm afraid that means it's been deleted (I think you can only deactivate an account for thirty days. The BJA account was brought back once to avoid this but The Longshot wasn't). I'm sad that account and all it's content is now gone I was hoping the side project would continue and we might see more shows and another album someday. I guess it doesn't mean it can't happen but clearly there are no plans. RIP Longshot 😥💔

  37. Please bring me back to the 21st century breakdown era... I need this blond hair and the red&black pants.

  38. I was going to mention his arm there too. I desperately need the black hair to come back. And Billie to come back in general.

  39. Honestly they're not doing anything since the release of MM2020 Pt2. Who the hell are they? Maybe recording Taxes is the reasons.
    1 point
  40. This is the kind of thing they of course should be doing. Question is, why aren’t they?

  41. I'm pretty sure all of the stuff in Disease Is Punishment is pre-recorded. All except for Fink's vocals on Spike. Don't quote me on that, though.

  42. iHeartRadio ALTer EGO 2021 was very good! It's sad that Green Day wasn't there. Foo Fighters, Weezer, Muse and Blink gave an amazing performance. Even Black Keys, Billie Eilish and The Killers wasn't that bad! FULL SHOW bad quality tho:
