When I met Mike I told him they should release a live album of the Red 7 secret show and he said he’d ask the other guys about it. Which I think was his way of politely saying fuck off lol. So I asked, but I don’t think they’re going for it. Which is a shame because those shows were really something special.5 points

I would love the release of the full pro shots of the shows we know were filmed from 2011 and 2012 like Echoplex, Webster Hall and Irving Plaza. They have so much sitting in the vault that they own.5 points

Or the Foxies show (London I think) that they filmed and said they watched but never released. And would love it if it turned out they had filmed one of Billie's Broadway shows.4 points

Pinole is not really proshot. It was just an amateur guy with a nice camera, and then there coincidentally happened to be another guy filming from another angle, so fans have made a multi-cam edit from both sources. There’s not much Green Day can really do with amateur footage, there are too many legal complications with ownership and compensation that it’s not really worth it for the band when they have so much of their own material they can release instead without complication. The 2,000 Light Years Away music video was made up of clips of shows that they collected for the Turn It Around documentary. There were contracts with every party that contributed footage, and the agreement was that only short clips would be used. That is why some of those videos haven’t been released in their entirety. I know that some of the tapers wanted large sums of money to use their footage and would not negotiate, so the crew actually had to turn away some of the people who were coming forward with recordings.4 points

I actually think that’s the story people are missing here. What does Warner/Green Day have to gain at this point by sitting on this stuff? Why is it left to fans to release it? I hate to say it but it’s not like the market for it is going to get bigger as time goes on. I would love to pay for some sort of official version of Jaded uncut but I can’t. I’m sure part of this is Green Day wanting to look forward and not back as a band but it’s not a bad time to be doing some legacy moves. But so far they seem to have an aversion to anniversary or special releases. Although the new Insomniac vinyl re-issue is maybe a sign this is starting to change.4 points

I don't know if the poor guy will want to even come back here after all this spamming and throwing him shade about what videos he has and may or may not have. I think it's pretty great that he shared that show with us and I'm looking forward to what else he's willing to post.4 points

Yeah, a lot of us knew about the Prague video long time ago. There are even some news in their official site that hinted the video release but it got scrapped due the band working on Nimrod so fast after coming back, but we only saw the first snippet on Broadway Idiot. They had a lot of homemade recordings of their shows made by their crew, like the Astoria 98 show, that appears on the Last Ride In video but real professional stuff is low. You got some Lollapalloza 94 stuff, the Edgefest 98 and then other TV stuff. But mostly single camera recordings, nothing too great or complete to see. EDIT: I forgot that MTV filmed a show in Sweden in 95, that's where the Stuck with Me live video comes from. I don't think you make a setup for only one song, so probably there is a lot more if it, unknown to me if it is complete, but it is highly probable it is3 points

I really hope these annoying users with these nonsensical comments don't make Jeremy change his mind on sharing anything.. please, people, stop spamming with all this bullshit3 points

Okay I had the weirdest fucking dream the other night. I guess I was on Green Day’s tour bus with them and it was night, so they were asleep. I was next to Billie and my arm was over his chest. He was on his side and my hand was over the left side of his chest. I took my fingers and slid them between Billie’s ribs and was able to hook them under one and up through the space on the other side of that rib to keep myself in place because I was in an awkward position and was trying not to roll off the seat. I don’t know how I was even able to do this unless Billie’s ribcage was exposed, but it clearly was not and he was dressed as well, creating another barrier. Billie’s ribs were quite easy to feel through his shirt without pushing very hard, though. But it still didn’t make any sense how I was able to hook my fingers under and up through them. Maybe I had the power to phase through solid objects at will idk. I essentially used Billie as one of those handle things above car doors that you hold onto when things get rough, but did it in the worst possible way. What the actual fuck?3 points

Like I said earlier I'm passing some time looking for old website with Wayback Machine. Here is Green Day website in 2000 during Warning: https://web.archive.org/web/20001018210716/http://greenday.com/ In 2002: https://web.archive.org/web/20021203001253/http://www.greenday.com/home.php3 In 2009: https://web.archive.org/web/20090331084157/http://www.greenday.com/splash/splash.php In 2012 just before the release of Uno: https://web.archive.org/web/20120705000435/http://greenday.com/ Sadly I can't find anything during the American Idiot era!! You can see there was already an Idiot Club during the Warning era way before AI Edit: Fun fact the first ever Idiot of the Month was a Jack Messinger...... in December 1997!2 points

All those trilogy songs that haven’t been played live since... I doubt they’re likely to release these, but I’d prefer it over new footage of less rare songs.2 points

Someone (not the OG) said it and .... *insert dumpster fire gif He doesn’t even have it. And why would he?! It was a private show in 2017 and not filmed. The poster has footage from the 90s that were PUBLIC events. my god... 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️2 points

Hello everyone my name is Jeremy Schaftel you may have seen some video's that I posted to my YouTube channel. I'm going to be sharing even more rarer video's and certain other exclusives here. Evidently I cannot upload these to YouTube as certain people will file a CC and take down my channel. My prefered method of sharing is uploading to Google Drive and then share a direct download link in this thread. Can someone confirm this all ok?. Thanks Jeremy1 point

oh wow, didn't know that about pinole, thanks! is there any other 90s proshot stuff out there we know of? Also, something that just occurred to me: did we even know prauge was filmed as opposed to just audio recorded prior to the footage being released a couple months ago?? and yeah, I didn't even think about all the other, more recent shows they must have too. fuck. I'd love to see them do something like the Fugazi Live Series, but I doubt we'll ever get that1 point

Jeremy gonna be back. He have a life. I believe him. It's just sad that his channel got taken down.1 point

I could definitely see MTV/Green Day's people telling him to knock it off if they caught wind of it. Who knows if they were planning to officially release any of this archival stuff ala the Prauge show sometime down the line. But yeah, I trust that if he's got anything else to share Todd'll make sure it finds its way here. Also, his account says he hasn't visited since the initial post, so I don't think he's been spooked off by any tom foolery (yet) Someone else in here said something about how we have a bunch of great HQ proshot videos of Nirvana, but hardly any released of Green Day. I think the Prauge release/this stuff surfacing tells us they always had the same kind of HQ proshot stuff, but just never bothered to put it out because there was always other new stuff coming from Green Day. Obviously, Nirvana after a certain point had no new material to come and had to start scraping the barrel, so I guess that's probably why.1 point
-
Agreed. I wonder why Green Day has never made an official release though. You would have thought they'd take some footage out of the vault for the RNRHOF montage but they didn't ... The videos in that montage looked like they were ripped straight off of YouTube. 😂 Maybe they're just getting to it? I enjoyed the Insomniac footage they released. I know from that Nimrod Listening Party footage that they didn't want to entertain the idea of making live albums ... till they released Bullet in a Bible. Maybe they're just getting to it... One thing's for sure, there were A LOT of great Green Day shows in the 90s.1 point
