I prefer my role as "The Holder of Stuff" standing just outside the pit My friend likes to go wild in the pit and I always hold his hoodie and wallet5 points

Bang Bang is one of the best Green Day songs ever. If that doesn't make you wanna go buck wild in a mosh pit, then you're wrong. I actually did once at a concert and one guy absolutely wrecked me. He broke my arm and all the toes on my right foot, but I was too high on adrenaline to care. I kept on moshing until Mike told us to stop because I was limping. Best day ever; I definitely advise getting killed in a mosh pit. Back on track, that song is literally perfect, and I wouldn't want to change a single thing about it.5 points

I know this isn't fangirl related, but there were some of you here that wanted to see my mushroom/fungi pillowcase and I finally uploaded a picture. Here's a Billie to keep it somewhat on topic:3 points

Honestly though I don't even see how shows this size will be possible even in 2022. Club shows and small arenas, yes I believe they will be able to go ahead, but it's hard to believe in less than 2 years we'd be able to go from absolutely no concerts at all back to shows of 60k people. I just don't see it happening. I'd love to be wrong though. Ideally, as much as I'd love to see FOB and Weezer (yes I am one of those people), I think they should just cancel at this point and focus more on smaller shows until it's safe to do large tours again. I say this as I really want to see a Network show, but also like, realism.3 points

In honor to @Little Boy Named Booze, the next two days I will only listen to one song - POPPER PUNK, no other songs allowed.2 points

The pillowcase is so cool!! Also Turn it Around is a great documentary. Highly recommend it for anyone who hasn't watched it yet.2 points

Bang Bang is probably top 5 for me. Honestly I can still remember where I was and what I was doing the first time I heard this song.2 points

Well they can always come do a Hella Mega your in NZ and broadcast it around the world. No community transmission of covid for about 60 days+ so no limits on crowd size etc2 points

This is from the Turn It Around: East Bay Punk documentary. I wish we had the full video2 points

Oh my god, stop what you're doing right now and look. Look at the tiny fetuses. Mike's hair 🤭. He looks like a lesbian. Lmfao, Mike was a rhythm guitar lesbian. And smol Billie. He just looks short. And is hair is a lion's mane. I cannot stop laughing (at lesbian Mike).2 points

It was all in good fun, and the only reason I got injured is because he was wearing some really heavy platform boots. He was lat least a foot taller than me. My parents laughed when they heard what happened. It was funny.1 point

@pacejunkie punk thanks for this. I usually avoid this sort of video (probably cos I often disagree 😂😂) but this is a good one. I think also Digital Black is a perfect example of Billie Joe (and they all do it) playing the solo that fits the song rather than going off on some self-indulgent, ego stoking guitar solo which doesn’t fit! Although that’s not Green Day of course 😌1 point

I can hardly imagine the tour going ahead if it’s cancelled a second time. My worry is it sees the end of these huge, ambitious tours for a few years. @Rumpelstiltskin2000 I believe we need 70% or so to get vaccinated to be really effective.1 point

That’s not just any lesbian; that’s a garage rock lesbian. Look at the aesthetic. Short-legged Billie is very smol. He looks like he needs a noogie.1 point

This keeps poppin up in my “recommended” and I’ve ignored it. Maybe I’ll watch over lunch tomorrow based on this.1 point

I had the network on Spotify shuffle that afternoon while begrudgingly art searching for a huge project and it kept playing Ivankkka every 2nd song. popper punk, roshambo, ivankkka fentanyl, spike, IvAnKkKA CUNT, CITNB, iVaNkKkA it wouldn’t STAHHHP! *pulls hair out1 point

I bet they could do a lowkey network club tour if they really felt like it Perhaps- but it did drop right before COVID happened, so I could imagine an obligation like that maybe being able to get skirted due to the unique circumstances, yknow?1 point

What a shock if Green Day’s tour starting in March is getting cancelled too It’s over, lads.1 point
-
They’ve been ramping up vaccine distribution in California I’m sure the band would all be vaccinated before resuming any tour but it’s the crew and audience that need protection and travel and event restrictions lifted. We need to see case numbers drop first too.1 point
