I still have my suspicions about those two but let's end it there. I'll just say the only reason I was looking forward to HM was the Billie/Kevin shenanigans that were bound to happen.

I love the way Billie shows affection towards the boys and I don't just mean potentially spicy moments where he's necking with Kevin. I mean just the way he'll hug Mike and Tre or just interact with them. These gifs comes to mind: It's so fucking sweet! And I love that he's not afraid to show that affection without going nO hOmO!!!! A dude who is secure enough with himself and his sexuality to show affection like that is wildly attractive imo.

It's a paradox of how masculinity is seen in our society. On one hand, men showing affection to each other in a playful, flirty way is assumed to be non-sexual because of heteronormativity, but at the same time, some men are afraid of platonic affection, out of fear of looking gay.

Before we get a row for speculating, I agree that Billie/Green Day/Kevin love to mess with people, particularly if they think there are bigots about, and we all love seeing it too! I don't mind wondering privately.

I made the mistake of letting my mom borrow my computer. She snooped around and found one of my many folders titled "porn: stay away, mom". She decided it was a great idea to go through it, and she laughed when she saw that it was just 269 photos of Mike smiling. Something else I'll never live down. But at least she didn't find the unicorn genuine folder that I called "things never to be looked upon". That one has a bunch of sexy pics of Mike. I'd let that man [REDACTED] anytime of the day. He's so hot.

That ott macho always makes me think “over-compensating” 😁 and yes, I love the way they are not afraid to show affection, the Ride doc where Tre says at the end, if you find yourself still together in your band 39 years later, it’s a very good thing if you love those guys gets me every time ❤️

You know, I always thought it was Mike singing Transistors Gone Wild (minus "give me murder give me lust" etc. lines); especially the "my brain is melting and it smells like a volcano" line, but listening to it now, I do hear Billie. The rest of it sounds like Billie and Mike singing a duet, but Billie's vocals stand out. Before I saw this, I came here to say that I think my favorite line from Threat Level Midnight is "We kneel and pray to a god that doesn't exist." It's just a really great line and really resonates with me for some reason.

I'm going to post some photos I was talking about in the Random Green Day Thoughts thread about how Billie looks youthful. Compare these two. Almost the exact same expression and same face 10 or 11 years apart. Yes, you can tell he is older in the bottom one, but looking at it without the context of the other one, you'd think "Damn! He looks really good for that age!" And in fact I do think that. Now check out this here picture from the beginning of this very accursed year. I think he looks fantastic! That does not look old to me. If I didn't already know his age, I would guess he is 40-43. Here are more FOAM era pics in which I think he looks particularly nice (plus one of them involves cake ).

I think age is very difficult to judge, especially with men as their hair and beard colour can be really different, add to that a man who sometimes wears make-up or goes full hobo and all bets are off. 😂 I think Billie largely looks very good for his age but he isn’t 50 yet, I know it’s close but he really is not that old! I think he’s one of many men who looks better older and that his whole persona, energy and slight physique help him look young. Plus I think while he is aware of his appearance and probably a little vain, I don’t think it’s a big thing for him which is attractive in itself.

Yeah, when Billie's all stage/interview ready, I'd say he looks mid 30s. Slacking around at home, early 40s. Nowhere near almost 50.

I would say more accepted too, but mostly it would be generally assumed that they at least somehow like each other. There wouldn't be the "no homo" aspect.

I don't know, Billie and Tre have the dirty jokes, but Billie and Kevin are tender with each other and that makes it more natural i guess.

They all look about as old as you'd expect. Billie looks the most youthful but also his age. I mean, i think i could tell he's in his 40s if i didnt know. But what's wrong with that? He can still look good without passing for a 16 year old... Imo he actually looks better when it doesn't look like he's trying too hard.

I am totally okay with Warner not allowing Funko to make anything. I fucking hate those Pops. The aesthetic to me is stupid and completely unappealing and I hate that they will make Pops of literally anything under the sun. They have to stick their fingers in every fandom they can find and destroy the art style and aesthetic with those stupid little figures. This may be an unpopular opinion, I know, but I don't care.

Anyone who says Billie looks 20 something is lying to themselves. He looks 40 at the youngest. The one who looks the youngest is Tre. He looks 36 and 56 at the same time. Don't even get me started on Mike. He ages a million years and then de-ages. It's odd.

I think that line is actually Billie just singing deeper like he does in CUNT. That's what it has always sounded like to me.

You're right it is mainly Fink except for Van Gough doing the "My brain is melting and it smells like a volcano" in the chorus and probably some backing vocals. Hard to say whether some of the songs are more a Fink song with extra Van Gough vocals (or vice versa, Reto is mostly Van Gough with Fink doing a line in the chorus for example) or a true duet. More of a mixture on MM2020 whereas it seems to usually be just one singer per song on the new album. I wonder if they recorded separately sometimes due to covid? Could be a factor.
