  1. Personally I have very high standards to Green Day, and if I rated Trans Am 7/10, that means it is a pretty good EP. The most beautiful thing is, Green Day doesn't owe us nothing, but they just keep releasing good tracks, and they.. just.. don't let me to stop falling in love with them. I am very excited for the album, and to sum up this year, we got some nice tunes with FOAM, covers and Fink's gang. It was not their best, of course, but they nailed the quarantine darker vibes. It is just my "thank you" post. 2020 was not that bad because of Green Day.

  2. Even funnier since Mike is literally just average height, only in the context of Green Day would he ever be called tall.

  3. One more day that my order on GD UK site didn't shipped.

  4. They just flip through English dictionaries to write songs. Thay explains why their pronunciation is so bad.

  7. Ooh, I know! It's Dent Feznor! I love his band Four and a Half Inch Screws.

  8. I recently listened to all the original songs Billie covered and found he didn't really stray from them. He does a good job covering them but it would've been cool if he did something crazy with a few of them. Add his twist to it.

  9. "The tall one in the band Green Day" 😂

  10. Reminds me of Aaron Cometbus's devastatingly accurate comments on a Green Day photoshoot he witnessed on tour with them:

  11. So glad we're not waiting as long for this as we did for FOAMF. The massive gap between the first single and release totally killed the hype

  12. I read the beginning of this in the Unread Content overview and the last word before it was cut was “heavy” so I had no idea what this was about. I was thinking “what??? is Jen talking about heroin ” I agree vinyl is rather inconvenient compared to CDs or streaming music, but it’s so nice, makes listening to music a nice ritual and the sound is great. It’s expensive though.

  13. Didn't know that was from the same shoot. Makes a lot of sense, though. They are both very "clowny", which I do not like at all. 😖 Now these were great ones.

  14. Probably, considering they say that they don’t speak a lick of English, yet make their songs entirely in English.

  15. I dunno, for some reason it really does it for me. Now THIS is a stupid photoshoot.

  16. My 64GB iPad told me today that I have too many photos or screenshots on it; I don’t ever take photos with it, they are all screenshots. I think it thinks I’m married to this guy with green eyes and loads of tattoos 😂😂😂

  21. DILF Trent is very yes. Just so...... *lost in thought* ...ANYWAY! I was watching this video yesterday and just thinking Damn...Billie looks sooooooo good!

  22. DILF Trent... I could see that. But yeah, Billie is hawt. Dad I'd Like to Fuck.

  23. Sigh I wanna get back in bed and look at pictures of Billie and [REDACTED]. I'm so tired.

  24. Yeah most of them are identical to the original songs, which is fine, but I would've loved if he revamped a few of the songs.

  25. I heard Dreaming on the radio the other day and it seemed identical until the vocals came in.

  26. Yeah vinyl is an expensive hobby, but there's something about owning albums you cherish on vinyl. I can't really explain it. That's why I save vinyl purchases for bands and albums that mean a lot to me.

  28. I on the other hand remember trying to keep needles clean, buying the right replacements, trying to move easily damaged and very heavy vinyl etc etc. I have no romantic notion about it at all but I do love the look of some of the new coloured ones. If I do miss anything, it’s sitting with a big, fold out album cover to study while listening to a new, whole album. Crap for wearing in the gum though 😂😂 Oh cool, thanks, that’s hilarious and adorable at the same time!

  33. To make it worse, not only did they use my work address, I forgot to give them our suite number. And it says it's been delivered, but there's nothing here and the mail carrier doesn't come by til later in the day. Sooooo I have no idea what's happening.

  34. I feel you. I mean I have folders full of Billie and [REDACTED] pictures for...research. You know...working on a big article about those boys hehehe. Definitely not for thirsty reasons. Pft, who would do that?

  35. OH. MY. LORD. I'm removing my own ban on him to say this: 90s Trent is peak Trent for me because....wow. That's my type alllll the way. 90s Trent is the epitome of the type of guys I like. He's still really attractive now, just more in a DILF way. Now I'm gonna stop before I go too far and get myself in trouble And to keep it on topic... Billie is so sexy, amiright?

  36. I know the feeling. But I'm not gonna lie, 90s Trent was fine as hell. Enjoy this bit, because this will never happen again.

  37. Same here! I buy CDs all the time. I want something I can hold and know that it's mine. With streaming, you never know when something is just gonna disappear because of a number of issues, mostly licensing. I'm a big proponent of physical media and I encourage anyone to actually buy CDs, movies, etc of the media you love because with streaming there is no guarantee that it'll be there forever. And that's why it pisses me off when bands decide, hey let's not do a CD release. Let's just do vinyl. It's such a bad move because not everyone wants or can afford vinyl. And for me, certain albums aren't worthy of a vinyl purchase. At the same time, there are people who actually want to own the music. Looking at you LONGSHOT Going back to vinyl, I can't even pretend I notice the difference in vinyl vs CD. It also depends on the vinyl. For instance, picture discs don't often have great sound quality. There are other people here who will know more about it, but I do notice some audio differences between the two formats. But really it just comes down to your preference. Vinyl can be finnicky. CDs are definitely easier overall. I will say there's something so satisfying about playing something like American Idiot on vinyl.

  38. I can understand that, I still like to buy CDs, feels more tangible than a download.

  39. My copies are out for delivery...but it's going to the wrong address. It's not a huge deal because I'm actually at work today, but I contacted Amoeba and asked them to change it to my home address, which they said they did

  40. Today. Between 1pm and 5pm. I listened to it on spotify last night at insanely loud volume, and that is how these songs are meant to be heard. I fell in love with even the worst of the bunch (gimme some truth) Imagine Billie (perhaps backed by his rivals, The Network) playing these songs in a small club. Maybe 20 of the GDA elite.....maybe 50 so I can get in to, haha. This would be the greatest concert ever.

  41. In this episode of Tour Mode podcast with guests Jake and James from the Nimrods podcast, the host tells a funny story of seeing Billie as he tried to quietly check out the bands playing downstairs at the Black Cat in DC where The Longshot was playing. 45. The booklet is just a single folded page. Pretty spare. The most frustrating thing about it is the way the liner notes are printed you can barely read them.
