I can hardly believe, after this shitty year, that we had an EP one Friday, a new CD the next one, ok I know we have already heard the songs, and a new LP coming next Friday!

Wikipedia says Van, Fink and Snoo do lead vocals, while Z, Captain and Balducci do backing vocals. It's one of those things that unless you're in the studio, you will probably never know. Heck, the Network themselves may not even be sure who sang what after production and engineering.

I dunno, for some reason it really does it for me. Now THIS is a stupid photoshoot.

Billie was wearing pants. I believe they were black. Didn't think it was a necessary part of the description, but I stand wildly corrected.

Once again, Chris is the one being forgotten.

The booklet is just a single folded page. Pretty spare. The most frustrating thing about it is the way the liner notes are printed you can barely read them.

I went to my local record shop tonight, mostly in anger over not getting my No Fun Mondays yet. But I decided I'd wait, even though they had both blue and black versions, and the cd version as well. I was happy to see the cd wasn't a digipak. I just started collectiong vinyl again, and I wanted to get something I hadn't heard before, but that had some kind of meaning for me. I flipped through the records (oh it's so therapeutic!) and after my fourth go around, I decided to spend my money on Duct Tape Soup LP by Crimpshrine. I've heard Billie talk about them many times, but I've never listened to much by them. I looked up it up and they had it a couple bucks cheaper than the average, so I snatched it up. There was another Crimpshrine album I was eyeballing, as well as a Lookout compilation from 2017. But Duct Tape Soup just kept talking to me. How do record talk without a needle on them? Creepy. Anyway, I'm really happy with the purchase. There is a Cometbus zine/comic inside, which is worth 18 bucks on it's own. and the music doesn't sound half bad either! I shot my unboxing video for it, which is going to be part of my upcoming show about Green Day. woo hoo!

I don't know if any of You guys waits for Cyberpunk 2077 but I think new Network music will fit really good into game.

Anyone know how many of the blue indie store version were pressed? I'm guessing that's different than what the GD web store sold as their exclusive.

Maybe, but I think the point was to look a bit dummy with the prisoners suits being bigger. I love that shoot, too bad most of my pics are watermarked. And the priests one is one of the bests, and there are just like 4 pics from it They don't wear costumes anymore... (or do they?) 😏

Waiting for the mail is one of the worst things, especially when they give an specific date. Yeah, you gotta hold on 😁

This is the first time I've pre-ordered something from GD tbh. I only did it because I thought it was a limited release through the site - and when I saw it was sold out on the American site, I got spooked and bought it off the UK. I know the glow cover art will be different, but next time I'll probs just hit up my local record shop that had lots of the blue indie version. Sometimes they even get the albums early (I remember getting UNO on vinyl almost a week before it was released).

I might be hearing it wrong, but when I listen to the YouTube video for The Prophecy, obviously Mike is singing (we see him singing in the video too), but there’s another voice that’s a lower register on top of Mike’s. The more I listen to it, it sounds like Tre’s doing the lower register vocals. Anybody else hear that? Or do you guys think it’s Mike recording another track over his other vocals?

Just had Tom Petty pop up in my shuffle. I remember Billie mentioned him in that Kerrang interview from August ("nobody knew that the guy spent a lifetime on opiates"); he died in part due to a fentanyl overdose. Wonder if there was any connection/inspiration from this?

Not quite a reference, but the other day I freaked out and almost hit the "Buy" button when I saw a t-shirt with a huge "BILL_ JOE_" But it was just Billy Joel Who would buy that, I don't know. And no disrespect to Billy Joel, but... I think no one.

Hopefully the band gets bigger and this album is released here. It would suck to get from youtube but things as they are, I'll be happy to listen anywhere I can. I still can't fully decide between Fink, Van Gough, and Snoo, the songs each sing has their unique style... Sorry I never talk about the other members, who I know are great and i like them too ♥

I just think it's dumb. They look stupid in those outfits. Hot, but stupid. I kind of get the loose revolutionary themes they were going for, but it misses the mark by a mile.

That's undoubtedly one of the best photoshoots they've done. How can you not love it? Just look at their boots.

Don't get me wrong Billie looks hot, but the whole concept of the photoshoot is stupid to me, especially when you look at their other RS covers. I remember the very first time I bought it I was like...why the hell are they dressed like that? What does it have to do with the album?

I had this dream last night. 😳 I was on a pirate ship that seemed to be docked because it didn’t appear to be at sea. I was standing near the steering wheel and suddenly the captain appeared and jumped down several levels from the upper deck. He looked really cool and badass. He had a bunch of leather belts at various angles around his torso and was wearing a long leather coat that came down to around his ankles and mid-calf leather boots. His captain’s hat was tipped down at such an angle that I couldn’t see his face because it was in shadow. He approached me and the wheel and it became apparent that either he was very tall or I was very small because he towered over me. I looked up at his face and it was Billie. He was friendly, of course, but I don’t remember what he said because I was entranced by how beautiful he was. I was also surprised because I guess this was the current GD era, but he looked just like AI Billie. He was wearing the hat, but I could tell that his hair was shorter, like BOBD video length. He was of course wearing lots of eyeliner and had stunning green eyes. The rest of the dream doesn’t matter because there was no more Billie or GD. So apparently Billie is a badass fucking pirate captain now! 😂 And most unrealistically, he was tall.
