  1. Here's a couple of cute Billies before I go to bed.

  2. OMG thank you! One opener is plenty. Anymore than that and it's just a waste of time. People pay to see Green Day. Not whoever is opening for them. Why draw it out even more with multiple bands?? πŸ™„

  3. 2 GD dreams the other night. One I barely remember, just that Billie was on a stage for a talk show with Adrienne, a male rapper, female rapper, and some random other person. Adrienne said something, but I don't remember what. The male rapper said the female rapper had shot him. Billie didn't speak at all, just kept looking at the ground the whole time. Then I woke up, fell back asleep, and had a dream that I was backstage at a stadium GD show circa 21CB era. The cast of AI was there; it was unclear if they were just hanging out, or participating in the show. Most of them were just chatting while the show was going on, but I was watching John Gallagher, who was completely into it, air drumming, etc. I was thinking how cool it was that he saw the same thing every night but was still just as into it. Then I thought how I should get a picture from backstage, but my aunt and uncle had taken my phone. I went to get it, and my aunt told me she liked everything about the concert except for the music.

  4. All I ask of Green Day is just have one opening band. Like on the Revrad tour. That was perfect! And Dogparty was pretty good! I'm so sick of these tours with 2 or more opening bands.

  5. Yep! They announced the album title & release date on the 20th.

  7. 1:30 for Weezer and FOB is long... I prefer the Interrupters over Weezer and FOB lol

  8. the thing that scarys me the most is wonder how much time on stage each band will have. All the three bands are huge acts, I know that GD is the headliner, but I doubt they will play a 2 and a half hours set, and with this, they will probably stuck into the hits every night

  9. Anyone else obsessively checking their tracking every 2 seconds? I am hoping that it beats the estimated date, but I'll be happy if it arrives Monday the 30th. You guys know I get a little crazy when it comes to Green Day related things. What happens if you move while the package is on the way? I could move to Oakland, and get the package quicker, right? I could also intercept it at an in between post office? That's not psychotic behavior, right? Lol Ah forget it. If it's at a post office I can drive to, then it will get to my house quickly from there. Lol.

  10. I remember seeing there was a livestream before I went to bed, then waking up at 10, looking at my phone and seeing the livestream was still going.

  11. Wow....those are some dreams all right! At least you dream about the boys. My brain just won't let it happen.

  12. Mike admitted they were the Foxboro Hot Tubs? Ludacris. Insane. Not possible. Lol It would have been hilarious (to me, anyway) if the Tubbies denied any involvement with Green Day, even after being seen by the world. It was really an excited time when those first Tubbies songs 'leaked' out of nowhere.

  14. Was surprised to see this article about The Network on Cracked. Their writers seem to hate Green Day, so it makes sense why they would talk about The Network because they AREN'T Green Day. https://www.cracked.com/article_29061_mysterious-new-wave-band-not-green-day-releases-ivanka-trump-diss-track.html

  15. It was billed as Weezer FOB Green Day so fob goes after Weezer based on bill listing. I was really looking forward to the tour. I enjoy all of the acts and I was so excited to see the interrupters live. I wish they had been on the summer North America leg of RevRad instead of catfish & the bottlemen.

  23. I’ve been wondering if they’re going to have another cover song on this album. I think Teenagers From Mars worked really well, I’d love to hear them cover Return of the Fly, another great Misfits song that would fit nicely

  24. Every time I'm reading about Wake Me Up When September Ends, the writer always says that it is "unrelated" to the rest of the album. But it fits perfectly into the narrative. In the album, there is a step dad named brad. The father is clearly absent. But within the context of the record, the song is mourning the loss of Whatshername, and what she showed him about his existence and life in "Letterbomb", which along with Wake me Up When September Ends and Homecoming make up the most crucial part of the story. She leaves him. He's sad. He takes his world weary butt back home.

  25. Yes, having one band to open for them is enough. Like during RevRad with Against Me! or in 2009 with AFI or even All Time Low during the trilogy tour (i think it was only in europe tho). But it's not the same when you have 3 MAJOR BANDS. God even The Interrupters are umbelievable. Honestly I paid those tickets to HM for Green Day but I love as fuck the 3 bands before the big name. That's why this tour was like the fucking perfect tour for me. Everything was there.

  28. They did something similar to that for Tre’s birthday at the Tiki Bar last year it was like Transformers to see them go from Coverups to Longshot to FBHT to Green Day switching players around.

  30. Mine has arrived.....at the post office on the other side of the country. Billie Joe put it in the box late last night. it's 2,618 miles away. Now I have 2000 light years away stuck in my head.

  31. Totally agree, and The Network opened for Green Day but I’m sure in both cases that was more than enough, must have been exhausting. One show in that red suit would be bad enough πŸ˜‰
    1 point
  32. They did do a full nearly 3 hour Green Day arena show and then a two hour FBHT show in one night once. Honestly just that they did it one time is impressive enough!

  43. And risk the masses spewing hatred my way on The Network Authority? I think I've learned my lesson with throwing out album and song titles. Album titles like......Hungry Hungry Van Gough or The Spastic Maturity. Definitely not going that way again. I know we're right in the middle of MACH II, but I am wondering if the The Network will continue after this album. If there is a definite end, like the guys really don't want to do it again, I feel like we should get closure of some kind. Maybe they will be reinvigorated with this album and we'll get a decent discography out of these guys. I think the feud between them and Green Day is kind of a publicity thing for both of them, but if there really is bad blood, maybe The Network could find a better home at a different record label. Not sure what their contract is like, hopefully they aren't stuck. If they're stuck, however, that probably means more albums. So......................................................

  44. I would die if we got to see them "unmask" in protest and then just be the 3 random actors from that old fake interview wearing the RevRad Green Day masks.
    1 point
  45. I would like to know a little more about their opinions. Even with Ivankkka is a Nazi, I'm not entirely sure I understand what the message is. If they were totally against being safe for Covid, then they should take the masks off in protest of the perceived precautions. Just my thought on that one.
    1 point
  46. Something tells me that the Network would be the kind of people that would believe that Covid is just a conspiracy πŸ˜‚

  47. Green Day did post this today: Or was it the network? πŸ€”πŸ€”

  48. Geez Green Day sure have been quiet ever since The Network took over their social media accounts. Very unlike them...
    1 point
  49. I think these guys may be wearing Green Day masks under their head gear, I am not sure. They should do a faux unmasking video where their bodies look completely different when they take them off. Van Gough is 800 pounds. Fink is The Rock. Z is Chris Rock. That would be hilarious. Or just unmasking and looking similar to but NOT Green Day. I would love to see that. In that press conference, didn't Fink look different? What if the voices do not belong to the physical beings wearing the masks? Milly Va Network?
