I dream of concerts where the main band just opens their own show. No disrespect to opening bands, but most of the time I'm not interested It's even worse on these "package" tours. That's a trend that needs to die already.

With the vinyl being "packed", I'm debating picking up the CD for an X-Mas gift (my mom got me into Green Day wayyy back) - also just to help support the local record shops.

Mine is packed and ready to go, am resisting asking them when they will actually post it, they are a small, indie store 😆

Totally agree, and The Network opened for Green Day but I’m sure in both cases that was more than enough, must have been exhausting. One show in that red suit would be bad enough 😉

They did do a full nearly 3 hour Green Day arena show and then a two hour FBHT show in one night once. Honestly just that they did it one time is impressive enough!

I think it’s a double edged sword. No tour, even given there were mixed feelings about both the record and bands involved. However, without lockdown GD would have been largely touring whereas they have clearly been busy both doing covers and creating new stuff among themselves. I love the new EP and just love that they are having such fun with it all, to still be in that place and inspired at this point in their lives is amazing, I’m really thankful for it. ok, gin and tonic beginning to speak now, off to bed 😂😂

Good time to be a fan — Trans Am EP today, NFM album next week, New Network LP the week after that. Still wish there could be live shows but this is some good output from our guys in an otherwise shitty year. Hard to believe it’s still the same year where we also got a Green Day album in February. Have we ever had such a single stacked year of record releases?
