  1. http://abcnewsradioonline.com/music-news/2020/11/20/non-green-day-band-the-network-releases-new-ep-trans-am-1.html love this “In a world that includes Green Day and also bands there not Green Day, The Network might be the most not Green Day band of all” 😂😂😂

  2. I haven't watched the DVD of that Key Club show in probably over 10 years... But I can tell you the show was very much LIVE! It was most definitely the guys singing and playing all their parts live in real time and they sounded really great. I remember when I saw them at the Wiltern as well... Same thing... Except at the Wiltern show when they opened for GD, aside from a smallish (maybe 100?) crowd of us down center and front singing and jumping round to The Network... All the rest of the people in the venue there to see GD had no clue who these silly crazy new wave synth masked guys on stage were, hahaha.

  3. If there is a particle, let's say electron, with a negative charge, there is a corresponding anti-particle, containing of anti-matter, in this case, positron, with a positive charge. If Green Day is completely non, or anti-Network, then they both must combine a matter - anti-matter pair. Well, what happens, if those two particles collide? They annihilate each other, emitting tons of energy. So, let's hope that those two bands never merge into one, because it would mean the end of us all, and it is best to keep that remaining weekend alcohol from me.

  4. Geez Green Day sure have been quiet ever since The Network took over their social media accounts. Very unlike them...

  5. Conspiracy: Green Day are actually just Miley Cyrus in different wigs, they've been a hoax this entire time.

  6. I think these guys may be wearing Green Day masks under their head gear, I am not sure. They should do a faux unmasking video where their bodies look completely different when they take them off. Van Gough is 800 pounds. Fink is The Rock. Z is Chris Rock. That would be hilarious. Or just unmasking and looking similar to but NOT Green Day. I would love to see that. In that press conference, didn't Fink look different? What if the voices do not belong to the physical beings wearing the masks? Milly Va Network?

  7. You would think the three seconds of Billie whipping his hair around would be my favorite part, but I'm giving that honor to Jason's awkward dad dancing.

  8. Ok so I'm in a meeting so I watched the video on mute. Without sound this clip is the scariest shit I've ever watched.

  9. Are we having a Flat Earth official clip soon? #snooAnon

  10. On Green Day’s Spotify page, they have the Trans Am EP listed as a Artist’s Pick. Now why would Green Day promote those hacker jerks? 🤔

  11. Yeah, once The Network heard Green Day trying to pull that "lost album/the dog ate it" crap, they abandoned the idea of having a lost album. But it was their idea first.

  14. Okay... hold up - what the heck is happening in the thread? I'm going back at what I missed and I see a lot about cheese, sauce, and beds??? Are you all planning to cover Billie in sauce and cheese?!

  15. Same though. Foods before dudes any day.

  16. Fink whipping his hair around is definitely my favorite part 😍

  17. I'm gonna change my profile pic to a big bottle of ranch. Nah, I love my boys too much to do that.

  18. All I can accuse you of is giving me a mental image of eating pizza in bed... I would be too preoccupied with the pizza to get around to sex.

  19. If for 25, he better actually vomit. If he could do a drunken rendition of the album, that would be cool as well. I guess my fandom hits a wall with stuff like this. But hey. Lots of people like them.

  20. And plenty of ranch, right @The Grohl?

  21. I got a follow, too! Imagine my surprise after my half-assed attempt when ten minutes later I get a pop up on my screen saying, “Mongo Fink (Billie Joe Armstrong) has followed you” 🤣😳

  22. Yeah I have to say he could do better on the aesthetic front, but the amount of cheese is perfect.

  23. So across this weekend a number of MTV gigs have been aired on a free-to-air showcase channel in the UK, and GD were on earlier tonight with the gig from Seville last year. We watched the gig twice as the 1st time we kept switching over to see Strictly Come Dancing. Mum said that GD aren't here cup of tea but are still alright- she thought Minority sounded a bit Irish. Dad really liked the gig and I saw our fish dancing across their tank!

  24. woah, cool! thanks so much for the info. Another weird question, a lot of stuff on the DVD looks like it's being lip synced to the record recordings (for instance, fink's backing vocals in Reto. I know there's some other stuff too but I can't think of it off the top of my head atm). Do you remember if at all how much stuff seemed like it was coming from backing tracks and how much was live? Or perhaps they just dropped in audio from the record over the live recording to make the DVD sound better, idk. thanks again for helping to satisfy my curiosities! EDIT: also, you're totally right about it being intercut with the earlier no audience rehearsal. just went back to the video and you can see an audience-less shot at 10:37 DOUBLE EDIT: hahaha upon closer inspection at that no audience shot, Z is wearing just the mask and a white t-shirt rather than the rest of his outfit lmfao. Gonna start looking for other little nonsense like that... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oViWFEhGhr0&t=389s

  25. Page is obviously run by Warner. I bet if The Network knew they were being promoted on Green Day pages they'd call off the whole deal.

  26. Okay the spacing of the ronis is atrocious. But I'd still let him make me pizza. I wouldn't trust him as wash boy. I'd give him a plate to wash and 10 seconds later it's broken. Now Kevin can be wash boy.

  27. Yeah yeah Billie I see you and acknowledge your hotness. But it's pizza time so you gotta wait.

  28. One of the things I'm most excited about is what the potential influence The Network will have on future Green Day music. I'm not saying we'll get another AI, but I do think it might inspire them to do something different again!

  29. They've been joking about their rivalry for years. 2020 is the year for a Green Day Network crossover track. Mike and Van Gough doing harmonies on a huge, epic track. Oh man. American Eulogy without Billie Joe equals = greatness. Now that I think about it, Van Gough lit a fire into the underground.

  30. Facebook post asking you to make a supergroup. This is mine: Billie Joe (on vocals and piano) Shane Gallagher (on guitars and vocals) Daron Malakian (on guitars, vocals, keyboards) Kevin Bivona (on bass and vocals) Mike Alonso (on drums and vocals) This would be a really interesting outfit. Billie has proven he can front any sort of band and do it justice. Shane has been in several bands, but I chose him for his work with +44. A unique guitar player. Daron - Daron brings the weirdness, but it also a strong leader. He may even take the reigns from Billie, causing a healthy rivalry in the studio. Oh my, juicy! Kevin - I chose him for his work in the Transplants, he hasn't gotten enough credit in the industry. He's a killer bass player. Mike - He's on the kit in Flogging Molly, and that is a different flavor for sure. Imagine this weird and wacky band.

  31. Billie's toppings might not be well spread across his pizza but I couldn't have done it better than him Every time food and GD are mentioned here I think of this: https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news/local-news/leicestershire-pub-gets-surprise-visit-164108 (how thrilling it is to know that Billie had the fish & chips)

  32. Are there any known videos of the mixing/EQing of the guitars in their songs? So far I only found one about the mixing of the drums in Bang Bang 🤔

  36. Nah it was just rumoured that the next album would be called that if they made one. I think it came from John Roecker (not even the band). There was no suggestion that there was a lost album or any unreleased material.

  37. It’s the correct amount - it didn’t even cross my mind that it’s a lot, but people keep pointing it out so it must be???

  38. I want it!!! But there's no way I'm paying that much. That's a ridiculous price.

  39. I wonder if the merch folks heard the complaints everywhere about the $40 US price tag for the Horny plush, because it’s now been lowered to $35. I’d be pissed if I jumped on it and paid $40 https://store.greenday.com/corny-unicorn-plush.html?___store=wbr_greenday_us&fbclid=IwAR38xi3eOkAa_rHXc_Rb-KwQwsVzm9dpjXpF3xd7tFcv0s_8-Rh3foH3yAI

  40. The 100 best-selling albums of all time https://www.radio.com/music/gallery/the-100-best-selling-albums-of-all-time By Marty Rosenbaum RADIO.COM November 18, 2020 1:30 pm What’s the best album of all time? That’s a topic for another day. What’s the most popular album of all time? Well, that’s an argument that can be backed up with data. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is an organization that represents America’s recording industry. Through its certification program, it helps track total sales of albums, singles, and everything in between. Heard of a platinum record? Then you’ve heard of an RIAA certification. “Originally conceived to honor artists and track sound recording sales, Gold & Platinum Awards have come to stand as a benchmark of success for any artist,” the RIAA’s website states. On this site, the RIAA also compiled the best-selling albums of all time. Using data from the RIAA, here are the 100 best-selling albums of all time. 97 Green Day - Dookie Green Day’s 1994 major label debut has sold 10 million copies.

  41. It sounds like one of those unauthorized documentary things. I love how it lists Macys Day Parade and Paper Lanterns among a selection of “hit singles” 😂 If that’s any indication of how accurate it will be.

  42. So they don't believe in valentines, promises, solar eclipses or compromising but they believe in Flat Earth? There is another lyrical clue that Billie Joe is not in the Network. As stated in Church on Sunday, Billie believed in compromising.
