Yes, but Whatername is still, for me, a very emotional song about love and loss.2 points

I'm late to the party but I liked the grey hairs around his cute little face. Of course he'll dye it when he gets back to performing, but we had been curious in recent years to see how much grey hair he has and now our question has been answered. And now I'm curious to know how grey Mike and Tre are under the dye.2 points

I was a little surprised by the amount of grey, but it wasn't a turnoff at all. He looked positively gorgeous. I do prefer his hair more styled and dyed of course, but the wild hair with the bandana and grey is quite cute! Unrelated: here are some bonus arm pics I found.2 points

Wait a second. We're talking about Whatsername, right? That's not about Billie's dad is it? WMUWSE is about Billie's dad. I'm confused! š« Anyway, I agree about Whatsername being an incredible song. It's always been one of my very favorites and I wish they had played it (or will play it) live more.2 points

I DON'T WANT TO FREAK YOU OUT BUT I CANNOT LIE. I DON'T WANT TO FREAK YOU OUT BUT I CANNOT LIE-IE. school is just for suckers. Listening to this album tonight and it is amazing. I was at my dad's earlier and he was showing me XM radio on his roku. He found a Green Day interview and of course the first thing Billie Joe says is the title of this record. My dad just turned to look at me with a look of disgust, haha! I said something as we chuckled like "yep, that's what they called it."2 points

Oakland Coffee is totally blowing it by not doing an extra caffeinated "insomniac roast" for this release. Also, has anyone else been buying the Ramones and Replacements reissue boxed sets? The packaging is beautiful and they include booklets with lots of photos and stories from the people involved in making the records, and they have bonus cds with live tracks, demos, b sides, and unreleased tracks, and I would absolutely love for green day to get the same treatment! Dookie would be perfect for this, there's plenty of demos they could include on a dookie boxed set and they could include the versions of 409 and 2000 from those sessions, and maybe even the unreleased version of haushinka from that session! They could include interviews with the band and Rob cavallo and hell maybe even Kevin army since he worked on the demos. They should absolutely do that for the 30th anniversary in a few years! Maybe even a remix! They could do the same thing for nimrod in a couple years, there's so much material from that session that never got released, and that record was a turning point for the band, so it would be cool to have an in depth retrospective for that album.2 points

Billie stole Kevin's look. (Any excuse to post that. š) And sometimes quite literally stole it (FBHT 2009 show).2 points

Heās glowing š¤© heās looking so healthy, young and rejuvenated. The bandana and hair looks cute too and emphasizes his face.2 points

Heās vain enough that it will get dyed when public appearance is a priority again. š2 points

How about the Greatest Hits version? Audio isn't great, but this is one killer performance of Whatshername. Billie nearly loses it at 3:33 and this brings back memories of when the album first came out. Such a special moment in time.2 points

I am strung out on confusion, trapped inside a roll of dissolution. Now GDA will never understand. What's happening to me. Yeah, I have no idea what's going on at this point. Must have got my threads crossed or something. Wake Me Up When September Ends and Whatshername need to creep back into the set lists. Replace JOS wit those two now and then and I'd be happy. Whatshername is the chilling finale to the wild ride that is American Idiot. Such a great tune, Arguably one of the best songs off their best record. It's up there. Letterbomb is the break up song, but Whatshername is the reaction to an entire lifetime of trouble, pain and lose. He's not just looking back and wondering about her. He's thinking about how HE used to be, how things used to be. How it wasn't the president, or Tunny or Amanda that was the idiot. It was him all along. The really interesting thing about it is that it sort of exists OUTSIDE the main narrative. He survived and moved on. He's not as broken as he was back during their fling, but now that he's fixed, where is she? She's taken another path as well and things can never go back to the way they were. She may not even remember him, the inauthentic drug addict from long ago. She may not even remember. He's looking back at his youth and thinking about what could have been. What will never be. Life is better, but at the same time sadder. He keeps walking. In the exasperations of Tre Cool (or Tunny) - GEESE. What was that? Now I gotta go listen to Whatshername at full volume and cry. There's just something about American Idiot that makes me want to talk about it all day long.1 point

Oh I love Forevely. It's more folk than Country, but it does have some elements of Country for sure. I feel the same way about Country as I do with Pop. It's not the greatest genre ever, but some artists do it better than others. They are few and far between, but there are some country and pop tunes that rock my socks off. There aren't many albums in those genres like that, but that's really difference. Rock N Roll produces albums, whereas most other genres make collections of potential singles and that's it. Rock N Roll is overall more sincere in most cases, but again. There are some that stand out in the Country and Pop worlds. I don't see Billie ever wanting to do a full blown Country and Western album, but I'm sure that good ole Green Day would find a way to make it timeless.1 point

I think you are right but I think when you are an artist who writes about such personal issues and lays yourself open so often, then you have to have thought through how you will deal with actually performing songs like this. Thatās not to say there will not be days when itās easier than others, everyone who has lost someone really close knows that itās odd how some things can blindside you when you least expect it but generally, I think they deal really well with these things and itās why so many of us fine Billieās lyrics so relatable, so generally a huge strength. Re the country album, well we got that with Norah Jones didnāt we? Having said that, Country is one of my least fav genres but if GD do it, Iāll be there ācos itāll be great.1 point

Bruh I LOVE the grey omg š He looks so good with the wild hair, slightly greying, in contrast with his cute lil healthy-looking baby face1 point

I love his current hair (donāt mind grey so much) and yeah I think he looks really good overall. I always hope to see him more (even 2 mins was so good after this long time) and I sometimes feel sad when I see some mean or negative comments about his recent / quarantine look cause I always see him fine yeah thatās all lol1 point

I think Billie looked great last night and yes, his hair is pretty grey but I think it looks like quite a lot due to the length of his hair. I would say, after some extensive study šš that he has classic greying at his temples and at his slight widowās peak but other than that not too much. Need more evidence. He looked well though, tanned and relaxed. šš1 point

This is such a great performance of one of my all time fav songs. If I have a bad day and just need Billieās voice this is my go to song. Flawless. ā¤ļø1 point

Sitting in the pub beer garden and Holiday comes on immediately followed by BOBD. Think that's one of the only times I've ever heard GD being played in public and it was a double dose1 point

Had a dream that Billie was running for President with Kevin as his running mate. They were polling well, but I had the thought of, if Billie dies, that means Kevin is the leader of the country. I love the man, but...1 point
