The video is shit, but a moment of appreciation for what was probably one of my favorite moments at a Green Day show -- getting to hear this live! I literally didn't have my feet on the ground because the pit was packed so tight that I was being suspended in the air by my shoulders. Good times. @Laura! and I got the setlist! I also got a guitar pick and after the show the crew through out a bunch of Trè's used drumsticks to us creepers waiting to see them leave the venue. If anyone has a better video... ugh, PLEASE post it!5 points

This seems to be that legendary Prague show that we always had sneak peaks of. Notably in the first few minutes of Broadway Idiot where they show Brain Stew. I've ALWAYS wanted to see this show! I can't wait until Todd and the others see this video.5 points

Had a dream that Billie was running for President with Kevin as his running mate. They were polling well, but I had the thought of, if Billie dies, that means Kevin is the leader of the country. I love the man, but...4 points

Sitting in the pub beer garden and Holiday comes on immediately followed by BOBD. Think that's one of the only times I've ever heard GD being played in public and it was a double dose3 points

I wonder if this remaster and live tracks will end up on Spotify. Also is this limited or will it be available for purchase closer to when it will actually ship. 32 plus tax and their crazy shipping is pretty pricey to be honest.2 points

Lately, I've been trying to change the way I get music. I have been in love with the compact disc my entire life, but there will come a day when they are no more. I've been streaming for some time, and I'm trying to rely on that more than physical media or mp3s. I've also been thinking of getting a record player again and get the releases I want on vinyl. So I'm a physical media junkie. But here's the thing. When I spend my hard earned money on a physical copy, I'm spending that money for the booklet and all the cool things that may be contained in said booklet. If I spend 13-30 dollars on an album and the book is poorly made or god forbid, JUST A COVER WITH NOTHING ELSE INSIDE OR THE BACK, I am out of that money and angry. I'm paying for the experience, not the music that can be literally pulled out of thin air. If artists or record companies want us to buy physical media, and I'm not sure if they do or not, they need to put something inside that is worth spending money on. Do something different with the booklets. Put something really wild in there to look at. I want to buy No Fun Mondays, but I'm worried the packaging will be just the cover and nothing more. Foxboro Hot Tubs had nothing to look at, and the Longshot didn't even GET a compact disc release, but it's hard to say. I hope with this being the first BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG record that some thought it put into the packaging, and it's really awesome. I've been utilizing unpackaging videos lately to see what comes with albums, and those help.2 points

Well, I mean they did do the Barnes and Noble colored vinyl reissue, but with not as much hype surrounding it I suppose... https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/dookie-green-day/23214907 --- What would be AMAZING is if they'd have studio outtakes on the second LP, much like they're doing with The Beatles nowadays. I think it'd make for a much more interesting listen, to see the progression of the songs. But either way it's great!1 point

holy fuck, I just bought the 2xLP reissue of nimrod, but I might have to get this too. Those live cuts are too enticing...1 point

This is such great news!! Totally unexpected too! I can't wait to see the etching in the vinyl! The only thing it's missing is the b-sides, it would have been cool to have them on that 2nd lp but that's alright, I think they're all on shenanigans anyways, aside from the good riddance demo1 point

I preordered NFM CD plus a FOAM CD (Because I haven't bought it yet). Therefore, I'm from Chile so the shipping is really expensive and FOAM is incredibly expensive wherever I want to buy it, here or outside Chile... even eBay!! Whatever... I'm happy!! 😂😁1 point

40 Years Of Bad Religion: Vocalist Greg Graffin On Science Deniers, Garage Days And Band’s Inner Strife - The book discusses how Green Day and other bands that had opened for you and were influenced by you were blowing up and far surpassing the commercial success of Bad Religion. Looking back at the 90s, was that a frustrating reality? We had a belief that punk music was far more popular than people gave it credit for. The Offspring and Green Day were able to reach that popularity level that I always knew existed. So, in some ways it was very satisfying because my hunches were correct. But Bad Religion never was a band that was jealous or marked our own success based on the success of others. We always had an internal satisfaction that was, I think, very mature, for how immature we were in many areas. The guys never had sour grapes and I didn’t either because we always were really satisfied with our work. If we went out on tour and the material that we had put out that year was crappy, then maybe we’d call it quits or we’d then be showing our rage and frustration and jealousy at the success of others, but the truth is we really believed we had the best material and we just wanted to make it better on the next record. That constant growth, the constant refinement of our craft is what got us through those years without even looking at the success of others with jealousy, but looking at it with admiration and actually motivation in saying, “Man, if those guys can do that, let’s do that too and let’s put out a better record.” The long history of our songwriting catalogue speaks the loudest. We’re just committed to the craft. And we’ve been very fortunate that other people have recognized that. https://www.forbes.com/sites/derekscancarelli/2020/09/28/40-years-of-bad-religion-vocalist-greg-graffin-on-science-deniers-garage-days-and-bands-inner-strife/?fbclid=IwAR3o8ogV6j_MPKKxba-yYiFHT5tyjRywdxyD_WnIasYLQNnfriCeKSxyr38#29f2b5122b02 By 1992, Larry Livermore had been a greaser, a teenage delinquent, a hard laborer, a hippie, a journalist, a mountaineer, and the owner of a small but growing record label. That winter, his imprint, Berkeley-based Lookout Records, released the second album by a promising young punk trio by the name of Green Day. That’s when Livermore decided he and the Lookout Records office staff should start their own group — something completely different from anything else on the label — a twee band called The Potatomen. “I was probably more than a little crazy at the time,” Livermore says now. “I was bouncing back and forth between: ‘This is going to be a major, major record,’ and ‘This band is hopeless. I might as well jump off a bridge.’” While none of their records came anywhere close to achieving the commercial success of Kerplunk, The Potatomen’s discography serves as an illuminating artifact of Bay Area music history — documenting the tumultuous years just after the East Bay pop-punk explosion of the early 1990s from within the very place where it all began: Lookout Records. https://www.sfweekly.com/music/fresh-eyes-on-the-potatomen/1 point
