I miss seeing posts from the boys - especially Billie. It's so sad that he probably won't feel comfortable posting for probably a long time because of the whole Joey situation. People suck and would totally start harassing him if he posted anything at all and I'm sure that's why we've seen nothing from him. Mike and Tré have been pretty quiet too. Everything sucks and they always made things a little brighter.

Just noticing ( wonder why 😉) the way that hat is adjusted -- his head really is huge!

I'm re-watching Green Day clips today. It's friday Green Day. I'm starting with FOAM and gonna end with Dookie. God I love this band.

So let's assume that Billie's breakdown in 2012 never happened and the trilogy was just one album with the best songs out of the three. Then I think that this era was the perfect follow up to 21CB. After nearly 10 years of very serious music, concept albums and serious outfits, everything was a bit less strict. They made more fun, random and experimental songs and played in T-shirts and jeans. I really like the concept of the era.

I have seen 3 separate people wearing Green Day t-shirts this week. All had the trioligy era logos/artwork too. Makes my day everytime. *Me thinking Green Day is this totally unknown band and there is like 5 of us who knows about them*

Not really... I think NFM is all we get this year, but they might record an album to release before the tour starts.

I also think Billie is the only one who still cares. I think the others like touring but that's it. Billie seems to be surrounded by yes men so that's never good.

Hopefully HM will happen next year so we can see him live again 🙏 I'd love to see him wearing more red shirts or denim waistcoats

I am watching the Punk 'N' Core videozine from 1991.... it's too short to be the video with the poem in it... however, like it... it'll be found in a basement somewhere probably. The poem sharing appeared on television Winter 1991/1992.

Yeah the Trilogy is the first project where it was clear Billie was doing all vocals on the record. Billie always did backing vocals but along with other people so it never was so obvious in the past. I remember hearing Uno for the first time and that was the first thing I noticed and this remains one of my biggest pet peeves about the post 21cb albums. It worked for The Longshot and it works for other bands and solo records but if you know the body of Green Day's work it just comes off as phony but I can understand the decision. It probably took Mike a long time to track backing vocals and now that they've moved from large multi-room studios to Otis and single room personal studios they don't want to spend a day watching Mike struggle with it especially when Billie is one of the fastest vocal trackers in rock history. One thing that was great about FOAM was that Butch Walker did some vocals so it breaks up that trend they were on. Butch obviously is familiar with Green Day's old music cause his backing vocals were slotting right in where Mike would be on like 39/Smooth. I don't care for Butch as a producer and in my opinion he's probably learned more from Green Day than they've learned from him but he did do a great performance on those vocals.
