I also think Billie is the only one who still cares. I think the others like touring but that's it. Billie seems to be surrounded by yes men so that's never good.

This is how I remember Billie's appearance. back when he did tricks with his microphone stand. I really wish he'd repost the poem he shared back then in the early 1990s.

In any other instance, the public wouldn’t give 2 shits. He could be dealing with it in private for all they know. Yeah the Trilogy is the first project where it was clear Billie was doing all vocals on the record. Billie always did backing vocals but along with other people so it never was so obvious in the past. I remember hearing Uno for the first time and that was the first thing I noticed and this remains one of my biggest pet peeves about the post 21cb albums. It worked for The Longshot and it works for other bands and solo records but if you know the body of Green Day's work it just comes off as phony but I can understand the decision. It probably took Mike a long time to track backing vocals and now that they've moved from large multi-room studios to Otis and single room personal studios they don't want to spend a day watching Mike struggle with it especially when Billie is one of the fastest vocal trackers in rock history. One thing that was great about FOAM was that Butch Walker did some vocals so it breaks up that trend they were on. Butch obviously is familiar with Green Day's old music cause his backing vocals were slotting right in where Mike would be on like 39/Smooth. I don't care for Butch as a producer and in my opinion he's probably learned more from Green Day than they've learned from him but he did do a great performance on those vocals.

Kind of the same in Chicago depending on what neighborhood you're in. If that was a restaurant near Wrigley Field that would be cheap as hell 😂

I've only noticed recently how lacking this album is in solos. I think there's only like 2-4 guitar solos in the album (depending on what you consider a solo) and none of them are that good. Hell, if they just came up with some more decent solos, this album could be above the 30 minute mark

It’s just sad that people seem to think that Billie Joe should have anything to add or contribute to the situation. While yes we should give survivors space to share their story; it should not open the door to implicating third parties that have no real involvement. Joeys behaviour is on him, it’s Upto him to own his actions and take responsibility. While his behaviour is totally inappropriate we are all human, we all make mistakes it’s how we respond to our mistakes that should define us. It is a very sensitive subject, but I have been a 22 yo dude before and while this wasn’t something I did; I must admit upon reflection now, there are things I did and said which as an adult I probably shouldn’t have. Lets hope that all involved are able to find a positive way forward.

Yeah it's like, trying to make it be about Billie/Green Day so it can be a thing that's part of your fandom and get entertainment from it. I also understand the curiosity but to be openly demanding it under the guise of it being something that's needed is kind of gross. I think people should step back and think about why they're asking for this.

Well, I doubt we'll be getting any more NFM releases anytime soon now because fucking Joey had to go and be a repulsive, predatory creep. If he put one out he'd probably get backlash for something that is absolutely NOT HIS FAULT! God, 2020 can go die in a fire. 😩
