  1. I’d never guess I’ll live long enough to see Billie get banned from playing with shitty bands by the government but apparently here we go.

  2. You know how Billie doesn't like the record label telling him what to do? Maybe he didn't like HIMSELF telling him what to do, which is why he's not releasing songs on Mondays anymore.

  3. Dear Mr/Mrs Nightlife, I have also recently listened to the full last album of the band called Green Day, and I can confirm, that your message regarding the confirmation of the high slap level of the previously mentioned album, is valid. Best Regards, Martynas Bertašius

  4. Honestly, I feel like we're all going to get NiFi'd eventually. Shit's going nowhere but up here right now. Concerts are so far away.

  6. I feel bad for the ZW/Australian openers "The Beths". Their debut album "Future Me Hates Me" was one of my favourites in 2018 - this was going to be huge for them. Go check em out on Spotify - solid angsty power pop!

  10. Guess this was inevitable. Even if NZ is free of the virus by then the borders might still be closed, especially to Americans. Hope the silver lining will be a solo tour.

  11. Indeed, this is the second time where I was gonna work a green day concert as a security guard but for uncontrollable reasons ended up not. Both times I booked to see green day in a different city because of this. Haha 😄😞

  12. Shenanigans played in full. Letterbomb. The Saints are Coming. Then a cover of St. Anger for some reason. Show over.

  13. True, at least he tried. He should just try...a little less now I appreciate a good falsetto or even an okay one if its used sparingly. But when I recently heard FOA I still didn't like it.

  14. Yeah Billie can do a lot of things, falsetto is not one of them.

  15. Honestly Green Day should hire him to make their setlists, seriously.

  16. Agreed. The samples just don’t work live and Billie can’t pull it off. Whatever the reason, I hope he’s doing better when they go back to playing live shows so he can do the new songs justice. MMOTR and Graffitia aren’t that easy either. It’s all quite high for his voice.

  18. I think you have to put things in the right perspective and find the right enemies here. I am not sure if we are allowed to discuss this (if not mods please cancel/edit this post), but since it's publicly available information: Billie Joe is estimated to be worth $55 million. Let's say that the three of them together have $150 million, which I think it's actually way more than reality. This includes properties and whatsoever, it's not their liquidity, which will be way less than this. A world stadium tour like the one we are talking about can end up costing up to $59M a month (https://www.royaltyexchange.com/blog/costs-of-touring#sthash.3lxCqNEt.dpbs). Let's even say that we are on the medium-lower range here, $25M a month (even tho I think this is not really the case since we are talking about 3 huge bands + supporting acts touring only stadiums, worldwide). Make your calculations considering how long this tour was supposed to be, and even if you consider all the artists, from all of the three bands, contributing to cover the costs, you can easily realise that this is not something that can be expected from them. It's not about greediness or rich problems, we don't even know if and how much they actually contributed to cover the losses that this tour is clearly making in the current situation. It's just about economy, it's about the music industry that, as any other industry, in this situation need a state intervention to survive and be on its legs when things will be (hopefully) be able to be back to a new normality. And it's about the workers of the music industry getting paid their salary (a big cut of that monthly touring cost). It's a totally different topic of discussion when we talk about huge corporations, having hundreds of millions if not billions in liquidity, CEOs worth billions, maybe also paying starvation wages and evading taxes in some financial paradise, that somehow manage to get access to public money, while workers get fired and small businesses have to shut down. That is the problem, that sucks.

  19. Just listened to a few of these covers for the first time in a few weeks and they're so good. Still so happy Billie was able to make this pandemic a little bit more bearable. Also, this thread is BAD.

  20. Holy crap, I drop in to see if anyone's heard any news about more No Fun Mondays and I see pages of ungrateful entitlements. C'mon people, we are better than that... the guys from the band start doing something they didn't need to do FOR FREE and us fans still find some way to complain about it? Give me a break... like imagine if Billie came on here with a secret account and saw all that shit. Frankly it's just embarrassing. They don't owe anyone shit and if they are gonna do more, they will do more when they're ready and if they're not, lets just be thankful for all the FREE quality shit we got that absolutely no one was entitled to.
