Rock that presentation outfit and tie a tie around tour forehead! 🤣🤪4 points

This is exactly how I feel about it too. I think it's got a cool and fresh sound while also staying true to their other work. It's certainly different to what I expected from them, but different doesn't always mean bad!4 points

Wearing my RevRad shirt right now and just had a Starbucks barista tell me she loved it. 🙂3 points

99 Revolutions is not a good song to have playing when you're trying to count how many crochet stitches you just did.3 points

Ugh it feels so strange seeing football being played at the London Stadium and Huddersfield knowing that those venues should've been preparing for HM next weekend. Huddersfield next Saturday would've been my 2nd GD gig but I'll still wear my Rev Rad shirt and listen to GD. I'd never had a postponed concert before 2020 but now all 4 of my 2020 concerts have been moved to next year (hopefully they'll happen next year). Looking forward to the Billie and Kevin antics on tour.3 points

I mean it would be better than seeing this in the bathroom2 points

😍😍😍😍 I mean they seem to like taking pictures in bathrooms or pretending like they're taking a piss, so I can totally see that this photo was their idea.2 points

I will! Then I can take the first morning bus back to uni and three hours later, I’ll be doing another exam in my mud/beer/sweat soaked dress pretending nothing unusual happened last night2 points

Yeah I in no way think it deserves the hate it gets. As you said though, most casual fans really aren't as open-minded as one would think, mostly because they only know what Green Day is "supposed to sound like" based on a narrow selection of songs/albums (usually American Idiot, 21CB or Dookie). I'd have to compare it to how I consider myself a casual fan of Linkin Park, but only really like or know their early stuff. That's what Linkin Park's "sound" is to me and I was unhappy when they strayed from it. Of course more committed fans would disagree. I'm not someone to melt-down over a band taking a new direction, but as much as I really like and respect the band on a personal level (and of course Chester Bennington), I certainly wasn't a fan of the newest album back in 2017. Still, though I have my issues with FOAM, the internet meltdown of some "fans" that ensued its release is absolutely ridiculous and honestly cringe-worthy...2 points

Hradec Králové got rescheduled to June 10th... that’s dangerously close to when I’ll be having a presentation for my bachelors’ thesis so if I make it, I’ll be the most overdressed person on the field2 points
-
Not sure if that’s just how horribly biased I am, but I don’t really get the reasons why FOAM is so disliked when it’s really just a standard Green Day album with a poppier sound. If I was to guess I’d expect casual fans would enjoy it (even though maybe it’s the opposite because if I only knew American Idiot, I’d exect something similar.)2 points

I'm still Green Day obsessed for sure. But it's the time between era's where I'm kind of drifting away from GDA. It's the natural order of things like this, right? GDA has cycles that are parallel with album releases or other big events. I still listen to a TON of Green Day and read about them , but right now I'm focusing on other interests. But hey, get this: I can tie my OTHER interests to Green Day. That's how big they are. Oh, and every time I see my dad he asks me if they've "done anything as good as American Idiot lately?" Hahaha My latest interest is youtube. screw tv shows and film, because youtube has it ALL! The Green Day connection? I love taking in bad reviews of things I enjoy, so I searched for bad reviews of the band. Found a ton of very entertaining music review guys and now I'm finding all these far out youtube channels from there. Most of my youtube searches involve my love of music. Reviews, guitar how-to's, etc. Those lead me to some great comedian guitarist. Other cool youtube topics are metal detecting, urban exploration, and nerdy science videos.2 points

Same, I agree with one of the reviews which started off saying something like if you were really surprised by FOAM, you haven’t been paying attention.1 point

I totally hear that conversation in my head as our darlings talk the photographer into this set up, “it’ll be great, it’ll be funny, we’re calling our album Dookie” and the photographer is really scared when they start taking their trousers down 😂😂😂. Am I the only one who always assumed it was their idea?1 point

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall that day to see 1. who thought that would be a good idea for a photo.. and 2. why they even agreed to have the photo taken lmao1 point

After everyone was saying how skinny he got, he now wants to show us that he’s ripped too 😄1 point

Same, miss him so much. I’d be so happy, if I ever see his face. Btw, I did my second edit today if you wanna check out. This is one of my favorite music videos, Billie looks really gorgeous.1 point

Most of the rumours on Tumblr aren't based on anything. Even if someone has spoken to people who know the band, anyone who's willing to share personal things with fans shouldn't be taken seriously. Without speaking directly to the band in a deeply personal setting, it's impossible to know what's really going on in their lives or minds, because celebrities tend to project their public image to everyone but the people closest to them, even relatives and less trusted friends sometimes. I wouldn't worry about it.1 point

Had to include this from Kevin's stories. Looks like the NYE party from a couple years ago (2018 into 2019).1 point
