  1. Just a quick update on the "Spazzygate2020": The girl who copied the drawing messaged me, apologized and was genuinely sorry -she was actually super nice and even contacted a guy from the GD team (I assume he's handling their social media?? IDK) anyway, they removed her credit in the GD Instagram post ๐Ÿ˜ฑ soooo.... as much as I appreciate that they feature fan art in the Monday cover videos.... for the next one can Billie just do a home video where he sits in his living room and plays guitar, maybe while wearing some fluffy slippers and Lenny tries to lick his face?? THANKS. FOR THE SAKE OF MY MENTAL HEALTH. ๐Ÿคฏ

  2. I finally had to drive to a work assignment for the first time in weeks today and I decided to turn on some Green Day tunes. Then it finally hit me that this isn't happening this year. No live music is happening this year. Possibly next year. I wasn't prepared for those feels. Fuck. I miss it so much.

  3. Iโ€™m not convinced heโ€™s had Botox and weโ€™ve not seen the grills so Iโ€™m still on board ๐Ÿ˜‚ takes more than a few bad facial hair choices to shake me off ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  4. As days, weeks, and months pass by my love for this album grows stronger and stronger. It fits right into the discography and I'll be listening to it for years to come.

  5. When you walk past a car whose license plate says BILLIE and you literally stop in your tracks and go back to see if the rest said JOE. Alas, not enough space.

  6. When you notice your fingernails are disgusting and immediately think of Billie. I cleaned them.

  7. This feels similar to what happened with the trilogy era after the promo for Uno was cancelled and the tour was postponed. By the time the 99 Revs Tour started the trilogy era was pretty much dead and it was more of a celebration of the bandโ€™s comeback (which is why I gave them a free pass for not playing Dirty Rotten Bastards live ). The Hella Mega Tour will be a celebration of everyone being able to come together again.

  8. We wonโ€™t give up in spite of Billieโ€™s attempts to make himself uglier with grills and botox

  10. I've been enjoying blond Billie lately. Only with dark roots, though. He's still cute fully blond, but I don't like it nearly as much. I wonder if he'll ever go blond again.

  11. Anniversary Song is so fucking good! I always want to listen to it at least twice when it comes on shuffle.

  13. I don't think he's had botox either. He'll be ironed out for one photoshoot, but have wrinkles the next time we see him. Botox lasts longer. I think it's just photoshop and good makeup/lighting.

  16. I agree. Dark roots Billie is cute. Fully blonde Billie...still cute, but... not a great look.

  17. I wasn't going to Hella Mega but I was hoping to do a meet up with some folks here. Now, I'm sad that won't be happening this year.

  18. Not really a guitar question Bill, but can you tell me if Broken Guitars is still going to offer t-shirts for sale? They were supposed to come out for pre-order and then nothing happened? Iโ€™ve been trying to get one for a couple years now. Thanks.

  19. this guitar is sort of legit, I bought this guitar and we put the humbucker in it and a week later Billie gave it away to a girl at a show in Paris. So it is what it is... Bill

  21. Can someone tell me all the pinhead songs that Billie actually wrote the lyrics too? I know it's only a handful if I remember correctly. Much appreciated

  25. Yeah, Baby Eyes, they say my middle name is danger. I thought you meant where did Billie get the idea for Jakob's middle name.
    1 point
  26. His middle name is Danger. It isn't a lyrics on Dos?? And what is the context lol

  27. Supposedly Billie wanted him to be able to really say his middle name was Danger ๐Ÿ˜‚

  31. Offspring and Green Day in one show? Oh man. I'd pay Hella Mega money for that!

  32. The not playing new stuff...I don't like it but sure. But it's not like they play new deep cuts either. They have plenty of hits - no one is going to care if they swap one or two out for a deep cut. Plus, it'll keep people coming back. Even as a huge fan, I was sort of annoyed that both shows I went go from RR tour had the same exact setlists.

  33. True, I've also never been a great fan of AAF's production. As I see it, Green Day should leave it to other more glossy pop-punk bands to polish and over-produce their stuff, good Green Day material (in studio and live) always needs a little bit of grit. In my opinion, BIAB's production is a lot better, mostly because I don't think they retouched it as much (if you listen carefully, you can hear they left quite a few little human inconsistencies and mess-ups in there). Still, some guy once made an amateur multi-cam of the Wembley gig several years ago, which I absolutely fawned over for months on end. That was back when I was in full-fledged fanboy mode and asking myself why I hadn't worked out some way to attend a 21CB tour show. I was a Green Day fan already several years before 21CB came out, they even played in Zurich in 2009 (I remember seeing posters for the gig in every tram/bus), but I was still quite a bit under-age at the time, so yeah... Still regretting it to this day though haha. AAF may be polished and pitch-corrected in places, but damn, they really did sound incredibly good on that tour... I guess I should have convinced my dad to go with me, but I honestly didn't think of that at the time

  34. Not that I know of but they were great shows, think we would know if there was another live record. Which song was it though as AAF is from lots of different shows?

  35. Did....you literally just tell Bill Schneider, Green Day's tour manager and friend since the 90's, that he's wrong?

  36. You are incorrect, the timeline i posted is fact. Ugh, just trying to help. i am trying to debunk some of the incorrect info out there . Before he got his own modded amps he used a JCM 900 live. As for the pedal, the Dookie preset (all the way left on the blend) it ships with is 100% a match to the settings on Billies amp for the Meat side (all the way right on blend) the gain knob straight up and down is where we set the se lead . I designed the pedal with mxr so i know... but set it where you like it, there are no rules! live, 95% of the show the guitar goes straight from the wireless to the two heads into two cabinets on the back of the stage and are blended into the stereo sound through the pa. Only when he switches to clean or โ€œmidโ€ we use the cae 3+ to drive the power sections of the same two amps and cabs. Think intros to American Idiot Minority etc... Any other questions? bill

  37. Cavallo, had versions of both heads already for the Dookie recordings. They were done by Bob Bradshaw at CAE originally then the later ones were modded by Martin Goulb at CAE. Both were used on Dookie. Although the SE is featured much more on Insomniac and that is where the classic live sound Billie still uses today started. Billie ordered a set of clones from Bradshaw while they were recording and they were the amps he used on the Dookie tour and the Woodstock performance. These are the two heads that were spray painted Meat and Pete and later painted pink and silver by the Network. These two heads were used on Insomniac and Nimrod along with an Orange OR100 a Bassman and a Jcm 800. Since the Nimrod recording these amps have only been used live. There are different amps used in the studio since. Warning is primarily a Black faced Bassman and a hiwatt. AI and 21CBD are primarily a Park70 that is modded with a Dookie style mod and an amp we call the Idiot which is also similar but different than an Se Lead (Meat) it has slightly less gain and less bottom end and is generally a โ€œtighterโ€ sounding amp. AI also features a lot of tweed Victoria amps primarily a 2x10 and a Twin. The Bassman and the HiWatt are also extensively used. Foxboro Hottubs is a Divided by 13 FTR 37 Billie, and a Low power tweed Twin Jason. Trilogy was a mix of all the cleaner amps and a JTM 45. No master volume amps were used. Rev Rad was back to the park 70 and the Divided by 13 primarily. Overall thoughts for trying to get Billies tone with the pedal or any amp is to use WAY less gain than you think. Play a guitar with a hot pickup and dig in!
