The not playing new stuff...I don't like it but sure. But it's not like they play new deep cuts either. They have plenty of hits - no one is going to care if they swap one or two out for a deep cut. Plus, it'll keep people coming back. Even as a huge fan, I was sort of annoyed that both shows I went go from RR tour had the same exact setlists.3 points

I don't dislike it, it's just that I find this level of perfection unrealistic. They really are an awesome sounding band, but a bit of grit is unavoidable in a live setting and it suits them too. Same. I will never forgive my 12 year old self for not bothering my parents more to at least let me listen to the show from outside haha. I think I didn't even try because I expected to be told my interests are annoying.2 points

True, I've also never been a great fan of AAF's production. As I see it, Green Day should leave it to other more glossy pop-punk bands to polish and over-produce their stuff, good Green Day material (in studio and live) always needs a little bit of grit. In my opinion, BIAB's production is a lot better, mostly because I don't think they retouched it as much (if you listen carefully, you can hear they left quite a few little human inconsistencies and mess-ups in there). Still, some guy once made an amateur multi-cam of the Wembley gig several years ago, which I absolutely fawned over for months on end. That was back when I was in full-fledged fanboy mode and asking myself why I hadn't worked out some way to attend a 21CB tour show. I was a Green Day fan already several years before 21CB came out, they even played in Zurich in 2009 (I remember seeing posters for the gig in every tram/bus), but I was still quite a bit under-age at the time, so yeah... Still regretting it to this day though haha. AAF may be polished and pitch-corrected in places, but damn, they really did sound incredibly good on that tour... I guess I should have convinced my dad to go with me, but I honestly didn't think of that at the time2 points

I’m beyond disgusted. Hopefully next year a giant asteroid hits earth just in time to stop this.2 points

I was hoping Fall Out Boy would be busy next summer and they could get a different band.2 points

Billie is spoiling us so much lately, more so than he was when FOAM first released1 point

I saw Offspring and Blink in one show last year. It was 1hour15min each band. AMAZING1 point

I'm sure MCR is going to cancel their fall shows () so why don't we just add them to the mix too?1 point

Would be awesome if either Sum 41 or The Offspring was part of the tour.1 point

I agree, but it's the same for so many bands unfortunately. The majority of people going to gigs are there solely for the hits sadly1 point

Yeah, it's not like I expect a major setlist overhaul, but if the 7 new songs in the setlist get divided between two albums, it will mean they only play the singles. That's a change but for the worse.1 point

Eh I've accepted their approach go setlists. I doubt they will ever change. I'd take the new music any day, though.1 point

I hope there's no new album until after this tour. I accept that they want to milk the hits, but sacrificing two albums of new material that won't be played except for a few singles makes me sad.1 point

The new album will be the focus of summer. So when does summer technically begin? Have we been here before? 🤣1 point

21CB. I checked and it indeed is on Awesome As Fuck so we can safely conclude it was fucked with a bit to make it sound more polished1 point

Is there an official live recording from Wembley 2010? Last night I watched some GD videos after a while and one of them was 21CB from Wembley and I was so blown away by how perfect it sounded... it was a multicam edit and I was wondering if someone mixed in some audio from the record. This afternoon I turned on the radio to have some background noise for washing dishes and there it was - they played the exact same recording from Wembley, so I guess there must be a live record I don’t know about?1 point

I think we’re gonna get a full album. Billie had said he was writing songs, sending demos to Butch and getting back in the studio with Mike and Tre as soon as they could. Butch said he’s already started preparing for the next Green Day album so I think we’ll see a new album by the beginning of next year before the tour resumes and they will tour on that album instead.1 point

If the small show are allowed, even a Longshot or Coverups mini tour1 point

Now that it is officially postponed, what does everyone think will be happening in the world of Green Day during this long stretch of downtime? I personally wouldn't be too surprised if we got at least an EP before this tour now.1 point

Graffitia really could be the ending of a 21CB pt. 2 album. It has the same epic feel. It could use to be a bit longer, maybe a minute more, and I think some of the emotional impact is lost with it closing out a record like FOAM. Doesn't really fit the carefree party vibe of the rest of the record.1 point

I saw the video and was like !!!!!! I cannot believe someone copied my drawing from 2013 and gave it to the GD members in person and now she gets credited for it and gets featured on a GD video? WILD. At first she was like "I have never seen your drawing before" and then today she gave me a credit under her drawing and admitted that she copied me... the whole situation kind of sucks. UGH. But what can I do. -- EDIT: and yes, Billie drew the OG Spazzy back then in 2013 (? or even a few years earlier but for some reason it became a meme in 2013) and asked fans to make art of it, I still have the graffiti Spazzy in my garage. omg great times. 💔1 point

I’m just relieved by the comment about refund options. There is one good thing about Covid for me and that is I’m not gonna be saddled with my VIP that I bought thinking it would get me a pit ticket when it didn’t.1 point

I think these covers are a chance for Billie to do some stuff he'd never be able to do with Green Day, i like poppy Billie1 point

Not my favorite album of theirs. Want to love it, but can't, no matter how many times I listen to it. I usually love all their albums, but just not a fan of this one. 😕1 point
