  3. When you're playing trivia card games with family and you keep getting questions about GD, and you feel compelled to check the cards afterwards just to make sure your relatives aren't making up GD questions just to help you win šŸ˜… Also we have a game where there are 10 clues on a card and someone has to read out the clues in order and the other people have to guess what the clues are describing as quick as they can. I got this card to read out, and my mam guessed it after only one clue - I think that's the proudest I've ever been of her šŸ˜‚

Itā€™s also the bandā€™s lone record featuring original drummer John Kiffmeyer. Read More: The 25 Best Rock Albums of 1990 | https://loudwire.com/best-rock-albums-1990/

  9. The argument is artists wonā€™t EARN money. You may have recorded albums for free at home but did you make a living from doing it? Most artists need to tour to earn a living and releasing an album without touring is essentially giving their product and earning potential away for free with the way revenue is structured now with streaming. Some that are already wealthy can afford to do that in the short term and so do it to keep their fans engaged but current small and medium sized bands canā€™t so while they can make music now they are waiting on releasing it until they can tour to promote it and get back to earning. I know of a few bands already that have delayed their upcoming album releases for when they can tour again. Seems we canā€™t have one without the other if we want these bands to be able to eat and pay their rents.

  14. So this is a fairy tale. Albums are not free to make. Sure some people may be able to record multiple albums on a budget of less than $2000 but the quality is always shit. It's not even with the charm of old Lookout stuff it's literally Audacity tin can mix. I've made 2 albums and if you include the total cost of equipment, computers, software and accessories we're over $10,000. However, with the system I have set up that $10,000 can stretch for years and I am currently writing and recording about 30+ songs and working on another project of about 12-14 songs. I'll go on to write another 45 sometime after that all within that budget. It's not a pro mix or master but it's not tin can audacity. It's somewhere near Kerplunk but it's good enough for me. In a major label pro setting there are pro producers, pro engineers, higher level gear that costs more. Has there been a major cost-reduction in the operations of recording an album? Yes! Have professionals become more agile and has technology improved productivity and created a more dynamic recording environment? Yes! But no, it is not free. Sales are down, costs have reduced with it. Margins are still non-existent. 21cb was the last they recorded at Oceanway and they never went that route again. It wasn't worth it they sold a little over a million copies. That was probably the break-even point. @WhiteTim might have some insight on that.

  15. I totally agree that the working class bands (which are the majority of bands) need money to survive. If they aren't getting paid, that sucks. They're not getting paid either way. But if your passion is making music, you can cheaply record something for your own personal satisfaction of making it, and then share it with the world while you're sitting at home, not getting paid. This doesn't negatively effect your band, career, etc. But I do understand if they feel what they recorded could be of great monetary value. Then they should hold on it when it could reach the most people, and pay them the best. Sure.

  17. Looks like the performance of ITWAN on Corden has nearly twice as many views as Oh Yeah had on the same show. Unless I'm forgetting something, it looks like it has more than any late night FOAM performance.

  18. I had a dream last week that I was riding in the backseat of someone's car and listening to the radio. I heard Pearl Jam doing a cover of Boulevard of Broken Dreams. It seemed weird to hear a Green Day song with Eddie Vedder's voice.

  26. I kinda controlled my dream last night without planning because I always go to bed in 6-7 am, I don't have a really deep sleep so I can do some experiment about dreams but all I care is Billie, not really interested in other general dreams lol Anyways random topic change I don't know why but I think Billie always look so hot while getting a tattoo, he should get more but not sure if there is enough place on his body anymore but these two pics my favs.

  28. So @Kurthical started quite a discussion here! Asking about Billieā€™s body will do that. And I agree with everything said. Itā€™s a perfect combination of small but not scrawny, muscular but not overdone. Iā€™m fascinated by the difference in body types between Billie and his brother David. Total opposite. Obviously Billie took after Ollie and David after Andrew.

  29. All this talk of how small Billie is led to me having a dream about him. Not necessarily his petiteness being to subject, but in it I was able to wrap my arms around him when I hugged him. He's about the same size as I am, just a couple inches taller than me, so I'd probably be able to do that. It was very lovely to be able to hold onto him tightly. I love all those gifs of him kissing people. I remember he kissed TrƩ for that one photoshoot. I didn't know there was footage of that. All I've seen is these pictures.

  30. To think RevRad is a work of art but that FOAM has absolutely zero redeeming qualities is nonsensical to me. Ik everyone has different opinions but the two albums aren't even that different. I definitely prefer RevRad and I like that album very much but if you like Green Day and you like RevRad, then you should at least like songs like Graffitia and Sugar Youth.
