I agree with all of the above, and hate to say it, but it’s what inside that counts. I know it’s a cliche but it’s true, I don’t know him but he really seems to be a good guy, not perfect of course (well actually 😁) but if he was an asshole I could not be be the fan I am.6 points

Yet his arms look pretty muscular, just in proportion maybe? I notice when Mike hugs him, you can see he just envelops him, Billie about disappears ❤️5 points
-
For sure. He looked like a ferret. Just a long bodied punk noodle. I don't think it was an unhealthy look, though. I see toned, fit, and slender. Really the only time that he looked anywhere close to too thin to me was around the AI musical era. His face did look a little gaunt then, but not to the point where it was very concerning and he was still hot as fuck. I would say this is pretty much ideal to me:5 points

Apparently he and Billie had this conversation about it and it’s a cool little trick that you don’t even think about. I like deconstructing songwriting like this.4 points

It’s backstage after opening night of the musical (it’s in the bonus features of the Broadway Idiot DVD). An interviewer is asking Billie what this moment means to him seeing his music portrayed on stage and he starts getting choked up talking about it and Mike steps right in with a hug and kiss and takes over. It’s lovely.3 points

I love this. His friend is getting all teary eyed and he steps right in to bail him out 😍3 points

I can understand Billie not being expected to cover all of his friends' businesses (1234, Ivy Room, etc), but it did look weird to me, his own business asking the public for money. I couldn't help but have the thought of, ummm, I think you can cover this one.3 points
-
We can’t judge because we don’t really know how he contributes to keeping the business afloat as a co-owner (he could be doing the lions share already for all we know) but that said I have to admit that my gut reaction to seeing a gofundme for one of his businesses was that it was not a good look asking for money and didn’t inspire me to want to help out knowing other small businesses that don’t have multi-millionaire co-owners really do need my help. Now no doubt he’s taken a hit financially this year too and has several businesses he co-owns so not saying he could or should do it all, it just could be why people aren’t rushing to help.3 points

It’s only about a minute or so but I love it because to me it’s like showing how a magic trick is done.3 points

I've seen a lot fans posting about "Mr. Money Bags" (their words not mine) not funding his "businesses" during this. But here's the thing, we don't know what his role is in the Golden Bull or any of the other ones. Maybe he's the one paying the rent/mortgage & taxes on the spaces, maybe not. Just because he has $$$ doesn't mean he should be footing the bill when there is no income. The employees are eligible for unemployment like any other person who has been laid off or furloughed in the US because of COVID-19. I understand that this it will not cover everyone's monthly expenses, but to rag on the guy because he "appears" to not be helping "his employees" is pretty rude. *steps off soap box3 points

I wish those bonus features were on YouTube. I bought Broadway Idiot on iTunes and it didn’t come with the bonus features. I’d have to buy it again to get them. I’ve seen the clips in montages and stuff but they’re hard to find. Huge part of his appeal ❤️2 points

Billie probably has a lot of rich friends who value the bar and don't mind chipping in. If fans choose to donate knowing he and his rich friends could foot the bill, that's on them, not Billie.2 points
-
I can’t see him behaving like that but he will no doubt have accountants saying you can’t do that if he is trying to foot all the bills. It would be nice if it was an opportunity though for businesses in the US to actually pay their waiting staff etc a proper wage rather than them being so reliant on tips which I understand is the case. Apologies if I have this wrong, it’s purely based on what some staff have told me in the US. I hope lots of businesses all over the world will start paying staff better now they realise how important they are!2 points

Finally getting the chance to get me that sweet Broken Guitars t-shirt. Pre-orders taken this week 🎸👏2 points

I'm loving this term 😂😂 Also, the narrow shoulders were so noticeable back in the day before he got properly fitting jackets. Look at his wedding pics from 94. That jacket is swimming on him.2 points
-
Heck, I was able to do that and I’m small. His shoulders are so narrow you can easily get your arm around them. That’s what gives him that “punk noodle” look 😄2 points

Just saying, he (and the others, and as a band as a whole) have previously ‘donated’ funds even to their own projects anonymously/behind the scenes, not saying that’s what’s happened in this instance, but it has in the past.1 point
-
And truth is Billie could sell just one of his vintage guitars and pay a bartender’s mortgage or rent for several months with it.1 point
-
I mean, I’m not hating on him in any way, I guess what he does is that he helps with funding in exchange of a share of the profit and that’s about it with his involvement, it’s not like he’s running the business himself. That said, I hope it’s not like he’s a Mr. Business Owner, who’s like “you know what, I don’t give a fuck, start a godundme or go live under a bridge no I’m not going to chime in”. That’d totally be a reason to rag on him in my opinion, or at least I’d politely ask him to shut up the next time he talks about the struggles of the working class1 point

With stores and pubs not opening yet, I hope the employees of gd’s businesses aren’t getting screwed over. I saw Golden Bull has a gofundme for its employees at about a third of the goal, all small donations. Let’s say Billie makes up for it by ordering lots of booze as soon as the bar opens.1 point

Haha I guess I’m just used to bigger guys in my family where you put an arm around them for a photo and your fingers just reach the back of their shoulders. My hand was able to grip all the way around, like with a woman actually 😂1 point

I guess some people were also kinda body shaming him in pre AI / Warning era time but he looks really good to me. I love their casual style in that era, I mean they looked cool when now looking back all the photoshoots and stuff. Love this pic, jean jacket always look good on him I wish he will wear it again (There are lots of other pics I like, especially group shots)1 point

Speaking of the chubiness, it’s not real for the most part anyway. I mean, revrad era probably counts as a less skinny period, but in person, you could see he was still thin and looked fit. He had to be awfully skinny in the AI era or in 2012 when he appeared to be Thin TM.1 point

Yeah he used replicas during Nimrod era too he joked about it onstage sometimes when he’d switch guitars. But I don’t think he meant to say that he never used replicas, just that in addition he always played Blue and he did. The replicas I think were like alternates.1 point

I don't know about Minority (since I hate that song) but I know Jason messed up in J.A.R solo and Holiday's intro during pre-rehab Trilogy Era. Otherwise I haven't seen him fucking up any notes, dude is great guitarist.1 point

Even if he doesn’t release them as one album on Spotify when he’s done they should at least be uploaded together as a playlist.1 point

My favourite cover so far! Dad's listened to it twice and has been dancing around the house singing the lyrics.1 point

Does anyone think he found some new meaning in these lyrics and that’s why he picked it (in addition to loving the song but most of these follow the theme). All I think of is everyone rushing to open things up too quickly. “Looking out a dirty old window, down below the cars in the city go rushing by. I sit here alone and I wonder why... New York to East California, there’s a new wave coming I warn ya!”1 point
