Cannot say for sure but the reaction seems a pleasantly surprised one Pretty sure someone will interview him about it Edit: looks like he’s sharing the cover in a shit load of fun clubs (of himself) and various fb groups, so I guess he liked it 😂😂😂5 points

Don Backy, the singer of the original version of Amico noticed the cover and posted it on his FB page 😄 https://www.facebook.com/100004923010571/posts/1477997699040983/?d=n4 points

It always amazes how little an amount of power can make someone try to abuse it.3 points

Jesus of Suburbia was playing in an elevator. Pretty sure it was there shorter radio edit, I was dancing and singing along and didn't realize the elevator stopping. Some strangers looked at me like I was crazy.3 points

Omg Billie looks both like a good little boy and a shit starter in that picture!3 points
-
It does really but looking like that, you just know he knows he’ll get away with it 😂😂3 points

I honestly don't think video chatting apps like Zoom are high definition enough to show that much detail anyway. Regardless of if he's using a filter and/or makeup, he looks mighty fine!3 points

This week’s songs might be the best so far. I’m binge-listening. btw, the Italian schlager version of Basket Case is still the best and the worst thing I’ve ever seen3 points

To think RevRad is a work of art but that FOAM has absolutely zero redeeming qualities is nonsensical to me. Ik everyone has different opinions but the two albums aren't even that different. I definitely prefer RevRad and I like that album very much but if you like Green Day and you like RevRad, then you should at least like songs like Graffitia and Sugar Youth.3 points

Green Day is my drug. I got injected with FOAM, when the dose was needed, from the dealer named Butch, aaah yeaah, then I redosed with Otis Remixes and Amico from some Italian, yeeeaahh, keeps me alive. But seriously, we need more remixes. Dirty Rotten Bastards please.2 points

I love that Billie is getting more obscure with each cover. Maybe I'll get online one day and he'll be singing a song I wrote! That would be insane. Has anyone heard this last one or even heard of the artist?2 points

Me too! I've been playing games on my computer tonight and playing the No Fun Mondays playlist on YouTube on an endless loop. The last two are definitely the best but I also love That Thing You Do and ITWAN.2 points

Yeah no one’s skin looks this perfect on its own. He definitely uses filters/makeup...and agreed, I think natural is the best look. I’m not saying this to criticize, it’s just that, you know, he seems too good to be true. I’d expect him have laugh lines at least.2 points

Everyone, knock it off. Please get back on topic or you will receive suspensions.2 points

When he’s free to write power pop everything sounds like Longshot and that’s not a bad thing. That’s really his signature sound.2 points

I listened to FOAM after a while last night and it even surprised me a little by how dark it is. I’m curious what the quarantine songs are like. Maybe he snapped out of it and they’re nothing like FOAM, but if the covers are any indication, they’re very much like Longshot.2 points
-
It has to. His mood heavily influences his songwriting and he’s pretty content and inspired right now (also judging by the fact that he’s writing a ton — at least six songs in the first month of quarantine alone all while doing these covers too). He said he was depressed when he wrote much of FOAM and I think that shows too not only in the dark themes but the songs may be short and underwritten but they don’t feel effortless. I’m very excited to hear the new stuff. I love this! Fun fact. A cover of a cover. That’s pretty obscure. I wonder if this is going to get a bit of local Italian media attention and airplay. He could have a second hit on his hands with this one (in Italy at least).2 points

Random thought: When Billie is “on” and inspired there’s no one better on the planet. I’m just really feeling that right now ❤️2 points

Agreed, plus as we’ve said before, great genes (look at his mum) and he is 48, not that old!1 point

The official Live 8 YouTube channel posted the Pro-Shot footage, so it’d be kind of redundant. (No pun intended) The reason that the audio seems to be uploaded is because the album release recently got a digital release.1 point

Yeah, that's a little bizarre. There IS pro-shot footage of that performance. I have it on my computer.1 point

From Top of the Pops. This might be where Billie heard this from since his cover sounds a lot like this version.1 point

Having trouble finding lyrics in spanish OR english for this Amico song. Anybody else have the lyrics? Mondays and Wednesdays are awesome now. What about the rest of the week, Billie? What about the rest of the week?1 point

Damn. I was looking forward that record1 point

This has just been posted on their YouTube channel. Random but cool throwback:1 point

https://www.weezerpedia.com/wiki/Van_Weezer and a few other sources, though I'm not finding a whole lot about it. We're lucky FOAM came out when it did, a Green Day delay like this would be devastating. GDA would explode.1 point

I love Longshot so that’s fine with me Interesting so it wasn’t just us oh my god at this point I have a suspiction Billie’s omniscient when it comes to music1 point

Billie singing in Italian is so sweet! Cool to hear he's done a decent job of pronouncing too.1 point

Fun fact, the "original" song from Don Backy is actually also a "cover" of Keep away from other girls from Helen Shapiro (it was a common practice among Italian artists to make "Italian versions" of english songs, also heavily changing the lyrics and sometimes without paying copyright ).1 point

Ew. The Otis Mix thread turned ugly and boring through no fault of its own. What the hell was that? Point being: these songs are great and the new mixes sound amazing. Let’s talk about that.1 point

There’s a couple of really funny and weird parts, but overall I really appreciate the effort 😄 It’s hilarious in a good way1 point

I'm really glad Billie's having fun with these. Hope it comes through on whatever he next writes.1 point

I just love this new song, it’s so out of left field, I bet the Italian fans are going nuts over this, I think he must have really been learning Italian as he sounds so fluent and natural which is really hard to do in a language you don’t know. This could really blow up in Italy! Is it usually sung much slower? Thanks all for bottoming out the show in the video, looks great. What a man 😍😍😍😍1 point

If you don't like the Trilogy, the Trilogy doesn't like you! Other than promoting those three albums, Green Day has never let me down.1 point
