I didn’t know his band ended up like this. I didn’t listen his songs either but watched his streams a few times and I like the way he communicates with his fans and showing his admiration for GD and Billie but you are right Billie would never be in that kind of situation imo, he is so unpretentious as a frontman, he could be like the direct opposite easily if he wants though imo.

Billie clearly loves the lo-fi, Longshot-style classic rock production. I think it suits him. Odd he went the opposite way on FOAM.

The difference is ego. Billie’s performing style is all about giving to an audience, Brenden’s is receiving. To me the latter is what makes him less attractive.

But Billie is a much better performer. I'd rather have crowd interaction and moving on stage than showing off of a voice because that's all I feel Brenden does. "Look at me! I can hit [insert whatever note here]!", even though it doesn't fit the song.

I still listen Stab You In The Heart every day. What a great fucking song and I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeally glad that they decided to re-use Fuck Time structure (it's just not the chorus riff, SYITH uses in some parts even same chords and that solo is DIRTY, just like Fuck Time). I love that outro and whole song is just balls to the walls action. Goddammit what a huge fucking shame if they don't play this song ever live.

I love his style with the notable exception of some of his cardigans, they need to go in the bin with some of his sunglasses 😂 . I love him in t shirts but have to say some of his jackets recently have just been gorgeous on him. I loved the Revrad promo outfits too, anyine else would look a mess in those mixes of stripes etc and he looked awesome! We need to start a campaign to see his arms, which reminds me, where is that surfing series!!!??

If the rescheduled dates end up in jeopardy again next year because we still don’t have a vaccine or there’s a second wave or whatever, I wonder if they might consider just filming it and releasing it that way or something. They can’t keep postponing indefinitely.

Which is how he ended up the only one left in his band (and yet still uses the band name like no one else mattered). I may comment at times at how Billie is the creative force behind Green Day but still I could never see him doing something like this.

I think it’s because he is a musicologist and master of general history of rock and familiar with all the good bands from past and today so feel like he is kinda nerdy about it.

Hello fellow garbage fan. So Billie has worked with her on at least two songs, I wonder if there is more. There's another full length LP we could have coming! Haha

Yay, Billie Joe just made 6000 dollars! What if he decides to use ONLY the money from his solo project to make future music in said project? He could take that 6000 bucks and make a record. The financial constraints could squeeze something out of Billie we haven't heard since Kerplunk. Heck, make it even more challenging. Let's say Billie has to make a full length album and cannot use more than 800 dollars. Each time he successfully does this, we tighten the budget. I can't wait to see what Billie does with nothing more than a pear of underwear and a penny, haha. After that, it's naked Billie doing accapella. Calm down, folks. He's taken.

Junkies On The Troubled Times

Man, I feel the same. I feel like they could produce something really good, but keep it kinda vague so it doesn't sound like a parody lol. But as you said, the themes are all Green Day. I think they could make a killer track. And yeah, that's the main reason I would prefer the lyrics to be vague- Once the pandemic is over, I don't want to think about it too much.

Sadly I don’t think we’ll ever see him in a t-shirt onstage again. 😢 I would love to know why that is. He wouldn’t even take his jacket off (when he had a t-shirt underneath) on the Longshot tour when it was over ninety degrees at some shows.

I find his general style really cool too. Especially in this era, all of their clothes looked great imo. The animal prints and leather jackets are my favs but my only wish would be more short sleeves cause I just love seeing his arms and tattoos

Yes! I’ve always liked gender neutral clothes anyway. I wish his stuff looked the same on me. I started wearing a cardigan over t-shirts because I like the way they look on him. I once tried on a black fleece lined Levi’s jacket that I’ve seen him wear (I couldn’t pull that look off like he could 😄) I also love that red and grey striped sweater he has on up top in @Beyza ‘s post I wish I knew where he got it.
