  1. Not sure if these two interviews were shared before I came across them today on a Chinese video website while searching for something else lol So you can just check them out if you want

  2. Packrat. Why does he only look like 30 in that last picture? That was literally today. It's not fair! 😂

  4. And he didn't go over the top with make up either. Nice to see his natural skin tone.

  5. I always browse for Green Day cds or dvds when I go to a record store. The coolest thing I've ever come across are the copies of Dookie with Ernie on the back. I thought it was the find of a lifetime, but they are worthless. Now when I go, I take one out, look at it. And then continue looking for the new releases that don't exist anymore. Libraries are cool places! Green Day has a song about being at one, which automatically makes them cool. But there are tons of secondary nice things about them. All the free stuff. I feel like a criminal every time I walk out with a stack of book, movies and music. and comics. And now seeds. And I've never took it to the limit because the limit itself is insane at my local library: 50 books 10 each of adult and juvenile audiobooks, DVDs, magazines, and music CDs 4 Playaway®s and/or Vox Books 2 each of Playaway Launchpad®s, and Quik Kits Anyway. Long story short, I do the same thing when I see Green Day related stuff. It's always fun when you find obscene things at the library.

  6. Even with just a tiny bit of grey starting to show. And he wore this same shirt in the Basket Case video and Walking Contradiction. Nice little easter egg for the fans watching. If he’s gonna play one of their most mainstream songs, the shirt is like a little private hello 😍

  7. I think it's just the same room but seems like his hair becomes gradually fluffier when it keeps growing like that

  8. The shirt looks like he wore on Longview video like everyone noticed but don't know if it is really. He probably still have it as shared before but wearing 26 years old shirt might seem little weird but he loves his old stuff so wouldn't be surprised lol

  9. He’ll be needing the bandana back by the end of this 😂 seriously, he looked great, love the t-shirt!

  10. I just randomly remembered that @Beerjeezus told me that the intro of Dirty Rotten Bastards sounded like a rip of the Toreador song from Carmen. I just tried to sing the chorus of the Toreador song (in English!) to remind me of the tune and boy, it sounded very strange when sung in English... even though English is my first language, haha never trying that again...

  11. Dead-nettle isn't related to stinging nettles, it just shares the name because of its notched leaves, I guess. But yeah, stinging nettle is pretty good! It kind of reminds me of spinach after it's cooked. I had no idea that bishop's weed was edible! It wasn't listed in this book, but I wondered. It runs absolutely rampant in one part of our yard and we've been trying to kill the fucker for years. It's virtually impossible to get rid of. Great to know I can eat it now!

  15. Best Rock Albums of 2020 (So Far) Green Day, 'Father of All ...' This could be a polarizing record in the band’s catalog, especially given the more pop-infused feel permeating the early part of the album. Fans were introduced to the jittery energy bomb “Father of All” title track last fall, along with the clap-happy “Fire, Ready, Aim” and the Joan Jett-nicking “Oh Yeah.” But count us in on the band evolving upon a sound that has served them well, but may have been growing a little old. The album should be judged by more than the early singles, with the catchy “Meet Me on the Roof,” the brief but solid “Sugar Youth,” the ‘60s-ish rave up “Stab You in the Heart” and the grittier rocker “Take the Money and Crawl” leaving plenty well worth exploring. —CC https://loudwire.com/2020-best-rock-albums-so-far

  16. There are better leafy greens, but there’s nothing that’s actually bad about it haha I mean, I think it’s related to carrots so I guess I could say it’s similar to the taste of their green parts, kind of? The young crispy leaves have a nice texture, but I’ve only eaten it in spring, I suppose the big ones aren’t as good.

  17. Did he record this together with the other performances a couple weeks back or is it just the same room + even fluffier hair?

  22. Nettles are good I make a salad out of them and bishop’s weed (aegopodium). It can get a bit too prickly when you use normal nettles though (even though olive oil and vinegar seem to neutralize the prickliness)

  23. Well, normally I would be pointing and laughing at Mike for his odd cooking decisions, but I can't really be one to talk right now as I recently purchased a book all about foraging for and cooking with common urban weeds...

  28. 😱😱😱 This is big news!!!! 💚💚💚 Is this big enough that we need to start a next album anticipation thread? No offense to FOAM at all but they actually are working on another album.

  30. Not to bring things down, but reading "Nobody Likes You" is making me feel this weird sort of melancholy ache I can't quite describe that makes me want to cry. Reading about all of GD's past and seeing all those pictures and stuff just really amplifies the reality of the past. Those times are over. They are never going to happen again. The GD boys will never be that young again. I never got to experience those eras and I never will know what that was like. I do love reading the book and am really enjoying it, but there's still this feeling that hangs onto me every time I do. I just wanted to express that here because if anyone else would understand what I mean, it would be all of you and it also feels better to not just be sitting alone with it myself. I don't know. Sorry if this was a mood killer. I really needed to get it out. I do know that Green Day is still as amazing as ever and the boys are still the wonderful, beautiful people they've always been and nothing will change that. But there's still that longing feeling for what was that I can't shake. Even 21CB was over 10 years ago and that's when I first fell in love with Green Day.

  40. Honestly wondering how he can be that productive in the quarantine while even feeling lost? I think he has that capability of writing songs in every circumstance lol Not every creative person could be like that imo

  41. From Kerrang, posted today: "Billie Joe Armstrong Has Written Six New Green Day Songs While In Quarantine" “I’ve been writing a lot of music, and I had all these melodies in my head, so I wrote, like, six songs since all of this has been going on,” he says. “I don’t know when I can get together with Mike and Tré, but I told them to make sure that they’re quarantined for now, and then I hope down the road we can get back in the studio with [Father Of All… producer] Butch Walker.” https://www.kerrang.com/the-news/billie-joe-armstrong-has-written-six-new-green-day-songs-while-in-quarantine/
