  5. What an event that was for them, and to be inducted along with Joan Jett and Ringo was just icing on the cake.

  6. I wish that I knew them at that time. I would be so happy and excited while watching them on the red carpet. Being proud of your favorite band is a really great feeling. Remembering that that they are the youngest inductees and seeing other artists show their love and respect to them still make me feel happy

  8. This is just really cute for some reason. Reminds me of a little kid drinking apple juice or something. It's probably beer, though, which just makes it funnier.

  9. Just heard a rather low quality version of the GD playing Why does it always rain on me by Travis on reddit and it sounded so good! It’d be so great to have a good quality version of that cover!

  11. I was thinking the same last night. It would be really awesome a Green Day cover of that song (Or just Billie in this case) in Studio quality.

  13. All it took was a worldwide pandemic for Green Day to suddenly become an engaged and active band again. Billie is promoting his covers more than anything they've released since 2012.

  16. No, I know what you mean and I'm glad you've said it because I've been feeling this way too. It's not exactly the eras I didn't experience that I think about, but I often find myself longing for the past eras I did experience and then I go down a rabbit hole of nostalgia where I end up all emotional. It still feels like 21st Century Breakdown was a few years ago. Even the trilogy was nearly eight years ago and I still think of that as a recent era. It's weird to realise it's not. Things were very different even then though and it's not that things are worse now, but yeah, they're just... different. It's hard to explain. Anyway, I don't think it's a mood killer. It's an interesting topic.

  20. Best Rock Albums of 2020 (So Far) Green Day, 'Father of All ...' This could be a polarizing record in the band’s catalog, especially given the more pop-infused feel permeating the early part of the album. Fans were introduced to the jittery energy bomb “Father of All” title track last fall, along with the clap-happy “Fire, Ready, Aim” and the Joan Jett-nicking “Oh Yeah.” But count us in on the band evolving upon a sound that has served them well, but may have been growing a little old. The album should be judged by more than the early singles, with the catchy “Meet Me on the Roof,” the brief but solid “Sugar Youth,” the ‘60s-ish rave up “Stab You in the Heart” and the grittier rocker “Take the Money and Crawl” leaving plenty well worth exploring. —CC https://loudwire.com/2020-best-rock-albums-so-far

  22. Just wanna leave these three pics here. So, I loved this pic so much when I first saw but it wasn’t really good quality. So, i guess they used that remini app in that one to retouch old pics like that. I tried it before but didn’t really work for me. I think it does usually good job in other photos I saw though. So yeah his face actually look so cute with that little lipstick kiss mark on his cheek I’ve been trying to find a pic that I’m sure I saved before and it was so pretty. His hair was like that one i guess, it could be from Foxboro Hot Tubs show but he was wearing a hat and was really sweet, this one sweet too, not sure what’s the thing he’s holding though And this one another very close pic from stage but when he was sitting on his kness. I love how close is this and his legs look pretty honestly

  37. Not to bring things down, but reading "Nobody Likes You" is making me feel this weird sort of melancholy ache I can't quite describe that makes me want to cry. Reading about all of GD's past and seeing all those pictures and stuff just really amplifies the reality of the past. Those times are over. They are never going to happen again. The GD boys will never be that young again. I never got to experience those eras and I never will know what that was like. I do love reading the book and am really enjoying it, but there's still this feeling that hangs onto me every time I do. I just wanted to express that here because if anyone else would understand what I mean, it would be all of you and it also feels better to not just be sitting alone with it myself. I don't know. Sorry if this was a mood killer. I really needed to get it out. I do know that Green Day is still as amazing as ever and the boys are still the wonderful, beautiful people they've always been and nothing will change that. But there's still that longing feeling for what was that I can't shake. Even 21CB was over 10 years ago and that's when I first fell in love with Green Day.
