That coronavirus post is hilarious! We've got to have a harmless laugh in serious situations or we'll cry. At least he wasn't dismissing the seriousness of it.6 points

It somewhat annoys me how the GD boys get asked sometimes if they're going to play certain songs, like old songs or ones they haven't done in a long time, and their response (or rather Billie's) is always something like "It's been too long. I forgot how to play that song." or "I forget the lyrics." I'm not a musician, but to me it seems like they could just, oh I don't know, maybe practice? 🤷♀️ I guess this is also why their setlist is always predictable as hell. I know they are fully capable of playing other songs. They just don't want to.6 points

God Muse is just as bad as Green Day. Though what really pisses me off about Muse is Matt's thinking when it comes to songs. Origin of Symmetry is one of their most popular albums, yet they seem to avoid it in the states. When someone asked about them playing older stuff or even some b-sides Matt's response was something along the lines of oh do people in the states know those songs? Dude, we have streaming. We have access to your entire catalog. Just be confident and please don't play Starlight for the 100th fucking time.5 points

Wow, that's awesome! It's so cool how many of their songs have even more layers than I thought. This band is the best!5 points

I didn't actually buy this since I couldn't afford it when it was listed, but @Rumpelstiltskin2000 got it for me I had the grey one and it survived well considering I wore it all the time and it went to a lot of gigs, but the zip finally broke this year. This was the first time I'd ever seen a red one for sale so we were really lucky!4 points

That's so cool! All these years of analysing their music and I had no idea. I love finding out new things4 points

Glad to see he’s shaving at least which means he’s probably not in a total depression over the state of things.3 points

Me and my wife have been very depressed today when we learned that Green Day wont come to Finland in 2 months. It's been 7 years since I've seen them and my wife has never seen them so yesterday I hyped us up by watching some old Rock The Beach 2013 clips and few hours ago we got the news. Heartbreaking. Only ''positive'' thing that I can think of right now is that there is huge possibility that they will cancel the whole tour and move it to next year or something, meaning that they will come eventually. Gotta just wait the official announcement from Green Day I guess..3 points

I can't tell you how much the line "As we watch the world burn" from Junkies On A High gets to me right now. Following the Corona chaos worldwide and trying to digest all the craziness happening around me and the fact that my country is like 5 minutes away from a complete lockdown, this song gives me a serious punch in the stomach. Green Day have always had a talent for writing prophetic lyrics, but they have probably never been more spot-on 😥3 points

Billie Joe’s campfire: Could be, but some comments from friends and family make it seem that it’s theirs. I think there could be 2 new Armstrong dogs though. Joey posted this to his stories:3 points

GAH! Ok I'll post it here... give me a second to find it. BJ's caption was: Coronavirus... too soon?3 points

This is the best description of that bromance. This sequence needs to happen. And instead of the girl, Billie gets Kevin.2 points

This. And also it’s kind of how dad’s say they are babysitting when they watch their own kids. He’s used that term before when he was alone with one of his dogs.2 points

I just picture him trying to pull off some bad ass spy moves and performing tricks with a gun, but it's really slow and bad The villain would look at him like wtf and that's when Kevin, his right hand man, would attack him from behind!2 points

I stopped seeing them not just because I didn't enjoy the last album, but because they seemed to put more thought into their production then into their setlist. After a while it just bored me. Oh Matt wants a giant robot out on stage...cool? I just wanna hear Bliss2 points

Yeah I thought it was funny! It didn't seem like he was making light of the situation. But seeing as how everything that the band does lately gets an overreaction, it's probably better it was removed.2 points

I know, Billie is actually smiling in it rather than looking all stoic. It would have been a nice change!2 points

Muse request shows tend to be hit or miss. There have been ones that are vote for Newborn or Bliss. Neither are deep cuts. Or there will be a general deep cut option, but since most of the people voting are casual fans, it never wins. That one show a couple years ago was the one time that we truly got deep cuts (including Easily, so I can die happy now). @kaylubd Yeah, they think we don't know OOS. How many times has Matt been like, this is a song you guys probably don't know, and plays Plug in Baby? Dude, it's literally your most played song. We have access to all of your albums you know.1 point

Yeah I've heard about this phenonemon before. It's ridicilous. 😄 Never would want to see Muse in the US for this reason. Now that you mentioned it, I also remember that the show did feel a lot more organic on the Drones tour. Even when comparing the shows in Helsinki that I saw. Maybe the next tour they do won't be so heavily coordinated as the last one so we in Europe might have some hope... America will definitely still suffer from bland setlist in the future also though im sure. Not that I'm happy about it😄 It's also a very old fashioned way for the band to think. Like you said, these days we do have streaming services so it's not the same as before. Like you have the possibility to listen to all the old stuff even though the first two albums weren't released in the us originally.1 point

True but I'd argue that they're even worse. 😄 It seemed that the whole show was on a click track from start to finish on the last tour they did leaving them with no possibilities to compromise/do any changes on the setlist. At least Green Day pulls deep cuts from time to time and even the standard setlist is more varied usually.1 point

If it was his dog why would the caption say “dog sitting”? So not his dog?1 point

Exactly. I forgot to mention it, but yeah, obviously we were bummed out, but it was understandable. This unexplained silence makes it look like they don’t even care about this anymore and it can’t be just corona.1 point

I was curious to see what other artists who put albums out in February are doing. And basically, there are two groups - those who are playing somehow uncancelled shows (surprisingly Halsey is playing arenas in Europe these days) or they have interviews or some content like music videos or RSD stuff coming out (Hayley Williams, Eminem - btw I like how he’s involving fans on IG and sharing their videos, Ozzy Osbourne has an older, possibly less social media crazy audience, and still did a Reddit AMA on top of the shitton of press he has going). I do not understand what Grimes is doing and I’m afraid to look into it any deeper.1 point

I had the Holiday picture vinyl in my hand earlier today and it reminded me that this is still a really cool photo of the guys from the AI era Weren't there more of these group shots at the time? Can't seem to find them now. Only the ones of just Billie1 point
