I’ve watched this at least three times lol cause it is so adorable to see they’re being weird and hanging together like bunch of teenagers. I wasn't into them at that time but it seemed like a really good era for them and also fans cause they seemed really genuine and even like friendly with the fans in some way especially through those live streams. Junkies On A High would have been a better choice than Oh Yeah. MMOTR has single potential I agree with that. That's it. GD during American Idiot had a great strategy where they were able to dish out singles that found airplay on different types of stations. If there's a recipe for success for GD that's the one. They have a diverse audience but have had trouble reaching the non-hardcore fans since the beginning of the decade that just past.

True, you wouldn’t want to get any into your lungs, but that shouldn’t happen... reminds me of that one time in elementary school we had a class where we got educated about the risks of drugs and then we had arts and crafts, where the teacher had us to draw with glue and then paint over it and sprinkle flour and salt on top of it all. We spent the entire class doing lines of salt pretending it was coke. Didn’t even get nosebleeds

Actually Insomniac was received really well atleast here in Canada. Insomniac was actually a pretty decent seller for the band. If I'm not mistaken it was their fastest album to go platinum in the 90's. It just seems to be overlooked in later years and the band is to blame by including barely any songs from their best album in the set.

I guess with Rev Rad everyone's expectation was for GD to kinda of repeat that or build off of 21cb. The latter being a great thing for them to try at some point but that requires a certain level of inspiration for it to be successful. But looking at the album and a song like Graffitia, it's one of the best songs they've ever written and one of their best closing songs ever. Sugar Youth, Take The Money and Crawl are great as well. Hell, even Junkies On A High is a fun listen I think it may have been a better single choice than Oh Yeah. I went through the lyrics recently and they're fun as hell with it's simplicity but the implications of deeper things are there. Really hard for a band to do when they said everything they had to say 2 decades ago.

Although I desperately want to believe, I just can't imagine this is a troll. I think they genuinely wanted to put this album out. Other than the weak album and talking about being off their contract, there's been no real evidence that this is a troll album. They haven't spoken negatively about the label once. It's quite possible they will even end up renewing the contract. Plus it would be a real shitty way to treat the fans to put out a troll album and charge for it.

Same here! This is something that GD does very well. Not just GD but BJA's songwriting in general. It's layered and complex but also vague, fun, and open to interpretation most of the time. There's always stuff beneath the surface and it's great. Besides...None of their records sound anything like each other, tbh, like Dookie sounds completely different from Insomniac which sounds very different from 21CB, etc, etc... so I find it very funny that people put such emphasis on what "sounds like Green Day" versus what "doesn't sound like Green Day." If the new stuff was Nightlife 2.0 with trap beats and Swedish songwriters lmao I could totally understand. To make sure it got the love it deserved from the masses, seeing as a BJA side project musical, it would not get attention beyond the hardcore fanbase. Most normies would not know what These Paper Bullets even was, and I'm sure BJA wanted to see the tune get more attention.

All I care about is that he's okay. I like it when he does things like that, but if it's because he's not in control of himself then I don't know how I feel about it. I just want him to be alright in regards to his physical and mental health. It really seems like he will be from what we've seen so far, and I hope he'll be able to do shenanigans like that by choice, not because of loss of impulse control. Why does he have to be so sexy when he's drunk? It makes me feel bad for enjoying it.
