I’ve watched this at least three times lol cause it is so adorable to see they’re being weird and hanging together like bunch of teenagers. I wasn't into them at that time but it seemed like a really good era for them and also fans cause they seemed really genuine and even like friendly with the fans in some way especially through those live streams. I've was at Waves.com buying some new plug-ins and I am sure you guys have seen this but I never have so maybe not. In the demo of the CLA (Chris Lorde Alge), the engineer for Vig and one of the greatest rock engineers (not producers) of today. If you go to waves.com and watch any of the "CLA" video tutorials for the VST (virtual effects and plug ins) (CLA being Chris Lorde Ange) he uses BOBD as the thing to show how he likes to track his vocals. I thought some of you would be interested in watching the tutorials even though they probably use mostly hardware but nowadays the VSTs are getting almost as good as the hardware. I would say it's not far off from being standard. He certainly makes a case for it here in showing off some of his techniques. Here is the vocal CLA plug-in but there is also one for bass, guitar, and mastering. It's pretty cool to watch him. Vig also has a deal with Waves and if you go to his plug in package (just search for it on the site) you can hear him make the very similar sound to what many call that thin sound which is a VIG signature in some other artists, including his own band Garbage, sound exactly like many of the tracks that he produced for GD. Here is Chris talking about his vocal plug in. Go to the site if you want to see more (if you are an aspiring producer/engineer), this is a good guy to listen to. He won Grammys for AI and TCBD.

So while there is something pretty cool about Green Day randomly releasing songs when they're ready, I also kind of hate it. I would really love to see an album behind it, but I guess I'm old school and just love albums more so than standalone singles.

Been listening to all my GD music on shuffle while driving lately and boy does that "you can take a walk or you can suck my cock" line get me every time when Take the Money and Crawl comes on! 😂 I really like that song.

But a supernova is going to kill everyone so it's fine. But before the supernova, Billie takes his Tree Wife and uses her as a gun to shoot the moon into the Sun! Which would kill her but pretty sure it wouldn't effect the Sun at all. Now our tides are screwy, but again. Supernova is the biggest issues in this song.

Your comment about Nimrod and warning not being Dookie is why I added Insomniac. Because Insomniac sounds nothing like Dookie. You mentioned nothing about sales. I read it more as sound. None of their albums sound like the previous. Which is why I really love Green Day as a band. They don't rely on their "hit" style. They change each time. If I want Dookie or AI, I'll go listen to those albums.

I get that 100% I enjoy the album as well the stronger songs are a lot of fun but objectively the album deserves exactly a 68-72 out of 100.

Spend some days away from the album and now I'm blasting it again. I spun Mike Shinoda's album, the new Eminem and some Foo Fighters. But I got the Green Day shakes and needed a fix.

Just saw this comment from Billie on the IG post of GD playing in Eggplant's back yard

Now that my vinyl finally arrived I spent some time looking at the details of the back cover and it just occured to me how hilarious it actually is, especially in combination with the front. The whole thing is a self-parody, they are playing with every single prejudice and critisism people have against the band: That they are arrogant, rich and ageing rockstars living in their ivory tower drinking expensive champagne and king prawns, desperately trying to stay relevant by playing the cool and wild guys, but they look absolutely ridiculous at it because they have lost every connection to the "real world". Putting a giant unicorn (it really is a giant on that vinyl cover, holy shit) on what seems to be a children's painting of their most iconic album cover is the cherry on the cake. Fight me on it, but I still think that this is a fuck you-record, only in a different way than we initially thought.

When you're reading, come across the word hyperbole, and read it as hy-per-bo-LAY.
