  2. I'll give Lenny # 2 to this. Of course, we could just combine the two best things of the era.

  4. Let's celebrate his blondness and fluffiness! Yes, it's black here, but his floof is off the charts so I had to include it.

  6. I love it! I made a B/K calendar, and this is actually one of the pics for March! Along with other stills from the same video of Billie staring at Kevin's lips.

  9. Missing the boys so much . Got my fingers crossed that the Hella Mega tour happens, after a crappy 2019 I hoped seeing GD this year would make this year a happier one than last year.

  11. I’ve watched this at least three times lol cause it is so adorable to see they’re being weird and hanging together like bunch of teenagers. I wasn't into them at that time but it seemed like a really good era for them and also fans cause they seemed really genuine and even like friendly with the fans in some way especially through those live streams. Those two he went live from the backstage are my favorites too:

  12. Even though it's so obvious that the lyrics to Stab are "pictures don't lie" I always get this image in my head of Shakira and I hear "hips dont lie" instead. Hips don't lie when you're front page news... And I don't even listen to Shakira lmao

  13. I always hated the Rising part and only used it because for some reason (I can't remember) I couldn't just use RedWolf without adding something else to it.

  18. Omg I remember watching this! They were being so weird and clearly had no idea what to do on a Livestream 😂 Also Billie " I don't want you to see my butt crack." Um too late for that! I remember that Wrigley one too. And I'm proud that my city has Billie's favorite baseball park 😍

  19. It wasn’t. He just said he’d never go into the studio without lyrics again. It could have been a handful of songs at most.

  20. If he held off on Longshot and then still wrote the FOAMF songs then they'd have the choice to select which tracks to include. So technically you could swap out your least favourite longshot tracks and swap in your favourite foamf tracks

  21. I reviewed this book and it's really great! I highly recommend it! If I remember, it features new interviews with the guys, so it's doesn't frame a narrative using old interviews.

  22. I was wondering the other day if GD might be able to do a live stream gig sometime like the one they did in Tampa? I just want to hear the boys again, I miss GD

  24. Sounds like that guy(the boyfriend) wanted his 15 minutes of fame to make up a story like this🧐 Oh damn he's so hot😍😍😍😍😍

  25. No. You are doing whiskey. Drinking yeyo. Do not sing ayooo. Mr. Armstrong will not hesitate to sue you. Only he can ayooo. And I'd advice against the yeyo as well. Studies have shown it to not be good for you.

  26. I really enjoy it, but I don't have a special connection with it. I'm the rare fan that enjoys the newer more than the older. Foo Fighters is the best example. I don't enjoy their earlier album except for a song here and there. But starting with In Your Honor (2005ish) I feel like they became a truly great band. With Green Day I love every track, so ranking is difficult. I basically have to go through each album and figure which has the most songs I love the least and it's like choosing between children.

  27. I'm still waiting for someone to use a profile pic of Billie looking down, so that when @DadBod posts after them, it'll look like Billie's looking at himself.

  28. Whenever I'm in a Longshot mood, listening to Cult Hero but not looking at the lyrics, I always hear: "I am a healer/ at the duck 'n' phony show/ Why's Vanessa the lesser known/ Cuz I'm on a vehicle, here I go"

  29. Crazy thing is, American Idiot Part 2 is honestly a very fitting title, from a subliminal standpoint, y'know? American Idiot was full of underlying themes pertaining to the influence of mass media and I personally feel that there is a definite connection here with FOAM (not necessarily intentional but it is there). I'm not just thinking of Oh Yeah, I'm thinking about how the songs are all short as a reference to the limited attention span of the modern age, the idea of the reduction of music to background noise, etc... not to mention the whole "state of the nation" reaction as in "omg, wtf is going on in the world, I'm freaking out" which is basically every GD album ever but also expressed in a blunter and more poignant way in American Idiot. Almost like it's saying "Oh, you thought 2004 was a mess? Buddy, look at 2020, we're not going anywhere, smh." American Idiot Part 2. Not a magnum opus but a small reflection. I guess if one continues this overanalyzation, one may think that the reusage of other familiar tunes is a metaphor of longing for times that now seem better ("I don't wanna live in the modern world," anyone?) Idk. That's a stretch I guess.

  30. By the time June comes we’ll be back to medieval society and we can throw away our tickets because Green Day will have to resort to being traveling bards who get paid in bread and water

  31. I‘m still in love with this album. It‘s so much fun! I think it would have been much more succesfull if it was made a few years ago (before or after 21CB)

  32. This is also Green Day, at any time they could pull it out of their back pocket.

  33. I guess with Rev Rad everyone's expectation was for GD to kinda of repeat that or build off of 21cb. The latter being a great thing for them to try at some point but that requires a certain level of inspiration for it to be successful. But looking at the album and a song like Graffitia, it's one of the best songs they've ever written and one of their best closing songs ever. Sugar Youth, Take The Money and Crawl are great as well. Hell, even Junkies On A High is a fun listen I think it may have been a better single choice than Oh Yeah. I went through the lyrics recently and they're fun as hell with it's simplicity but the implications of deeper things are there. Really hard for a band to do when they said everything they had to say 2 decades ago.

  35. I have a hard time getting into genres like grindcore that have super short songs but I don’t really mind the shortness on FOAM. It feels like the album ends just when I start getting into it, but other than that, it’s not an issue

  36. I've always heard "bullet, bullet" which made sense to me bc the song was originally called Bulletproof Backpack. But I'm probably wrong.

  37. Same here! This is something that GD does very well. Not just GD but BJA's songwriting in general. It's layered and complex but also vague, fun, and open to interpretation most of the time. There's always stuff beneath the surface and it's great. Besides...None of their records sound anything like each other, tbh, like Dookie sounds completely different from Insomniac which sounds very different from 21CB, etc, etc... so I find it very funny that people put such emphasis on what "sounds like Green Day" versus what "doesn't sound like Green Day." If the new stuff was Nightlife 2.0 with trap beats and Swedish songwriters lmao I could totally understand. To make sure it got the love it deserved from the masses, seeing as a BJA side project musical, it would not get attention beyond the hardcore fanbase. Most normies would not know what These Paper Bullets even was, and I'm sure BJA wanted to see the tune get more attention.
