I really think this incident is being blown out of proportion, which seems to be normal for the band these days6 points

I know it's off topic, but re-recording their first two albums would be so unnecessary. That's energy they should put into new music instead.5 points

If the girl was actually upset I wouldn't dismiss it. Since it seems she's not, it's a bit of a coincidence they've got multiple videos and photos but none of Billie keep touching her. That implies it was nothing. I get why people might find it unsettling though. It reminds me of 2012.4 points

I like this album a whole lot. I think the only song I'm not the biggest fan of is Stab You In The Heart. I don't dislike it, but I don't love it. Also, I really like Junkies On A High, but I'm super fucking annoyed by the stupid chipmunk "AYE" or whatever it is. I've always hated that kind of effect in music and am very disappointed that it's infected an otherwise stellar GD song. Who okayed that?! Please tell me someone knows what I'm talking about and that I don't sound like a crazy person.4 points

I wouldn't bet this "touching" was anything more than a couple very casual light arm touches. I've had guy friends do that during conversation and thought nothing of it. Just how some people socialize. Her boyfriend was probably making it sound how he did because some people in relationships can get really insecure or possessive about their s/o interacting with anyone of the opposite gender. Can't say for sure without actually seeing what he's referring to but I seriously doubt it was anything creepy or gross. But I getchu, I never like hearing things second hand and being unable to shake concern that there's some grossness about someone that you don't yet know about.4 points

You're so right. Plus as we've learned it's fun to shit on GD right now so even more reason to try and make negative stuff up. And yeah, who watches a rockstar talk to their gf from afar? Maybe he was in the conversation previously and is just mad because Billie paid more attention to the girl since ya know it was an all femme art show and he probably should 🤦♀️3 points

He could be using the whole story and Billie's fame to boost traffic onto his social media page. Everyone loves attention nowadays and will manufacture a story to get it. My question is what's wrong with this dude? If this was me I wouldn't be behind them shooting a story I'd be right up in there having a good time with Billie. I didn't see anything inappropriate they're both clearly having a good time. It could have literally been a joke... we can't really convey the tone of the person who shot the story and posted it3 points

Fuck anyone who questions their decision to cancel this tour. Not much good playing shows neither you nor your fans can get to. Or is that punk? 🙄3 points

Sounds like that guy(the boyfriend) wanted his 15 minutes of fame to make up a story like this🧐 Oh damn he's so hot😍😍😍😍😍2 points

I wish I hadn’t already lost count of the things that remind me of 2012 this era2 points

I am not worried about it. No prescription drugs numbing and making his sadness and anxiety worse. He’s always been touchy and I wouldn’t want him to change a thing about that. Like I said in my earlier comment he’s been famous and had too much responsibility for too long. A lot of us look up to him. He has people in every aspect of his life counting on him. It must be scary to think of failing in any way. But he is a person and I don’t think he’s happy and he’s going to break. I hope he breaks. I think I specifically said in a previous comment I hope he breaks (but not like I heart radio breaks 2012 kind of episode). I mean I hope he destroys whatever black cloud was over him and find peace after the chaos of leaving that darkness. The past few years have seemed to average and routine. Even the set lists and the tours are exactly the same every time. I don’t think he’s happy like that if it’s like that all the time. Thank goodness for the Longshot tour. At least that might have been fun for him. He’s been confined and put in a box and labeled the wrong way for too long. I want him to be happy. He’s still restrained at this point. He can’t even go to a weird random party without someone posting a dumb video with a dumber caption. I hope he has fun and causes whatever chaos and craziness he needs to find peace and harmony and balance. He needs it. His best songs lately are the sad ones because they’re honest. There have been a lot of sad songs over the past several years.2 points

You only need to listen both versions of Welcome to paradise, or the live versions of the dookie era of going to pasalaqua 2000 lights, one of my lies, or christie road to compare and see the big difference2 points

I don't think Stab You in the Heart is about Trump. Billie has written about fame and money for the first time on this record and I think it's another example of that.2 points

Billie gets a mention in this AP article https://www.altpress.com/features/kat-von-d-tattoos-celebrities-musicians-la-ink/ 10 SCENE FAVORITES KAT VON D HAS TATTOOED ON ‘LA INK’ AND BEYOND Kat Von D has inked some major names in the scene. While many people know Von D for her iconic makeup brand and music career, we can’t forget what started it all—her amazing tattoo work on some of the most well-known celebrities. Many of her clients made appearances on LA Ink, so we rounded up 10 musicians and people in the scene who have been tattooed by Von D. You can check that out below. 10. Billie Joe Armstrong Not only did the Green Day frontman and Von D collaborate on a “Basket Case” eyeliner release, but Billie Joe Armstrong also had to get inked by her as well.2 points

When you're sitting in a coffeehouse thinking, I know this song from somewhere, google the lyrics, and go, of course. It's from watching this a million times.2 points

I wasn't here during that era but I can imagine why... but yea, I mean I feel like they did a little more to promote RevRad. I remember there was a club show in LA, I didn't get tickets but anyways... I thought something similar was going to happen but oh well things could still change even if its been a month since foam's release I don't remember what thread I read this in, but someone said the setlist should include some of the more party-like songs from the trilogy, that's whole point of the tour anways ! I just want to include this just in case Billie comes to creep 👀2 points

I keep wondering what gd is going to do now that the Asia shows are postponed. Imagine rehearsing and being excited for this big tour just to being forced to cancel it for the moment. I really can't really imagine them do nothing lol I'm really hoping for a small club tour2 points

I don't blame you. After my experience I don't really want to order from the official store anymore either. The whole thing reminded me why I get my vinyl and CDs from Amazon even though I hate them too.1 point

FOAMF gets a mention in this Rolling Stone article: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/the-best-albums-of-february-2020-bts-bad-bunny-green-day-and-more-959096/ The Best Albums of February 2020: BTS, Bad Bunny, Green Day, and More Here are the best albums of last month, from pop blockbusters to indie gems Green Day - Father of All The punk-rock icons sound refreshingly unburdened by legacy or accrued status on their latest LP. The glam-slam stomper “Oh Yeah!” summons Joan Jett’s version of “Do You Wanna Touch Me.” The speed-freak Merseybeat cheese of “Stab You in the Heart” is phony Beatlemania at its finest, right down to its screaming-girl crowd noise. A couple songs — the begging, pleading breakneck title track, the wonderful Dexy’s Midnight Runners-tinged mod swing of “Meet Me on the Roof” — play with echoes of Sixties soul.1 point

I immediately thought of that too. Or when you start looking to see if your shadow is beside you.1 point

Obviously it’s not very nice to get overly interested in people right in front of their partners’ salad, but as long as there’s no inappropriate behavior towards the girl, I guess it’s an acceptable level of assholery (not from the guy’s POV but you know that’s not what I’m talking about). I mean, we don’t know what exactly the guy meant, but even if Billie was hitting on her, it’s fine as long as he’s not going metoo on girls, which I doubt.1 point

I wish they have rerecorded Kerplunk and 39 back in 1993, during the Dookie Sessions, like they did with Welcome To Paradise and 409. Re do it now would be odd, mostly because the difference on Billie's voice nowadays1 point

I still love this record! The title track got overplayed beforehand (by me, so my own fault!) Great song when I do listen. And Fire Ready Aim just can't stay with me no matter how many times I play it. I like it, but it is VERY out of place on this record. Should have done this as a standalone hockey thing. Least favorite. So I usually start with Oh Yeah or Meet me on the Roof. Both just really make me happy. Teenage Teenagia Teenagerererer is fun, although I do find myself itching to get to later songs at this point. Stabbie Heartie - Good golly miss molly! I was skipping this one for a while but now I love it. It still feels new to me because I haven't played it a batrillion times. The last four tracks are absolute perfection. They also sound like they were originally part of something bigger and more elaborate. Looking at the track list, I feel like Father of all, Sugar, Junkies, Money and Graffitia were pulled from what could have been an epic 21st Century Breakdown style album. Perhaps Oh Yeah and even Meet me on the Roof were part of this concept album as well. But then Fire Ready Aim, Teenager and Stabbie were thrown in for a different vibe. Overall, a great and fun album and I am really pumped for a 5th single!1 point

I care less and less about reviews because none of these people's opinions are more valid than mine, except those who make/produce music themselves. I enjoy this album. I think a large amount of people just hate Green Day and will trash them no matter what they put out.1 point
