All I care about is that he's okay. I like it when he does things like that, but if it's because he's not in control of himself then I don't know how I feel about it. I just want him to be alright in regards to his physical and mental health. It really seems like he will be from what we've seen so far, and I hope he'll be able to do shenanigans like that by choice, not because of loss of impulse control. Why does he have to be so sexy when he's drunk? It makes me feel bad for enjoying it.5 points

I will say that there is nothing at all on this album that I dislike.4 points

This album is already kinda getting boring for me, I suppose I expected this to happen. I am one of those people that are already anxiously waiting for extra releases.4 points

I don’t have any links but I read on Q magazine May 2005 issue and that’s the page he mentioned it: https://imgur.com/vWyjYta3 points

Last night I had a dream where I was in a service station and I saw Panicland on the front cover of a newspaper (The Sun to be exact, which is even worse lol) talking about the Magnum Opus troll and it was annoying as fuck.3 points

I was listening to Devil's Kind...forgot how fucking good it is! I still wish we would've gotten a soundtrack for OW.3 points

Though I'm not playing this album everyday like I was after release, I still love it whenever I do listen to it. It's such a fun record!2 points

Currently listening to it on my lunch break with only one headphone in and I'm hearing all sorts of things for the first time.... There's so many layers to this. It's so short yet complex2 points

anyone else getting spooky vibes from his picture and the surprise appearance? Before you die you see.... J e f f2 points

Hm, so yeah going from one to the other might have been a step down, at least from their perspective. They all looked pretty wild to watch on video so hard to tell. I still would love to see them attempt this again for FOAM, these songs are so danceable and made for clubs.2 points

It’s not clear which show they were referring to in Cuatro because the film edit gets the timeline all out of order. But speaking generally it was true. That was some uncomfortable waters for them.2 points

The Makeout Party video from Echoplex that was posted in the fangirls thread has inspired me to watch more of that show and I have to say... that was so exciting!? They played so many new songs that slapped and that was just so fucking awesome. I wish they did the same for FOAM on the upcoming tour.2 points

Father of All Motherfuckers is a perfect album.2 points

Same tbh It's just the low quantity. It's easy to blaze through the album and I typically start from Track 4 cause we heard 1,2 and 3 so much prior to release date. Also, hard to enjoy it while my vinyl is still in transit. Thanks Warner!2 points

21st Century Breakdown Unfortunately there's currently no way that I know of to get the remaining 6 DLC songs to work, but once I figure it out, it'll be updated here.2 points

Trying to decide what to focus on. Music reviews, Green Day..... Or get super specific? A channel dedicated to the first minute of Too Dumb to Die anyone?1 point

I hope this era still has more in store for us other than Hella Mega Tour. "Sugar Youth" could be a hit for them, but so could any of the songs. However, I wouldn't mind them sticking with the tracklist order and drop a new single and video every month or so. Father of All could be the first Green Day record (and one of very few records altogether) where every song on it charts. That is a great accomplishment even if some of them just hit #50 or something. I can't think of any albums where this has happened.1 point

You could make one now. All four songs he did for it have been released and the other songs from the movie (like Exploding Hearts, Jakob Danger, etc.) are available on Spotify. Just go through the film credits and make a playlist.1 point

I don’t think we’ll ever see anything like the trilogy club tour again where they go out and play nothing but new songs. I think it terrified them and they’ve since retreated back into the protective space of their sure fire hits collection1 point

It's from the uncensored one, about 4:21 in. (not linking so as not to start yet another Oh Love video discussion).1 point

Yeah every time I talked about Green Day I usually get the "Oh they're still making music?" response and it's just baffling. Like is there some sort expiration date on artists? After a certain age you just assume they stop making music? Weird.1 point

This is the video of that performance. It looks dark but it's very obvious that he was very drunk and not really aware what he was doing. I think there would be no problem about doing those kinds of stuff on the tour without losing himself so much1 point

I would love to see a music video for Graffitia. A proper one, like Oh Yeah or even Roof, with some sort of storyline or other goodies, not just a performance video.1 point

I'd be interested in supporting your YT channel, your thoughts on here are usually quite... interesting1 point

I think this is a pretty cool Longshot pic (Jesse Malin posted it on Billie's birthday):1 point

I was looking at all the Green Day releases and the sales numbers. And you know what, even their worst performing releases have done well. Tre is their least successful major studio album and it sold over 62,000 copies! That's huge! Even their compilations and live albums chart well for what they are. But let's go back further. 1039 sold 55,000 copies. Kerplunk an astounding 4 million! Dookie - 20 Million Insomniac - 2.1 Million Nimrod - 2 Million Warning - 3.5 million American Idiot - 14 Million Breakdown - 1.5 Million Uno - 450,000 Dos - 267,000 Tre- 218,000 RevRad - 700,000 FOAM - 42,000 (so far) Bullet - 700,000 Awesome - 25,000 Woodstock - charted at #28. Superhits - 2 Million Shenanigans - 183,000 Favorite Band - 100,000 American Idiot Cast - #1 Demos - #1 Supervideos - 100,000 Cuarto - #26 The Studio Albums - charted #49 Most of their EPs charted. Poprocks and Coke didn't chart anywhere that I can find, but I'm sure it charted somewhere in the world. Same thing with Maria, I Fought the Law and Shoplifter, although I know for a FACT that they had some success with that cover. It was the #1 itunes song back when I was your age, sunny! So even their flops charted. How many of your songs have charted? I guess what I'm saying is this: Everything Green Day puts out makes them money. If you don't like it that's cool. But even the worst album sells are netting them at least half a million. So.........1 point

It could be the muscle relaxers I was just prescribed for a work injury it could also be the marijuana talking but after numerous listens to the album I can officially say I was mostly wrong in my initial opinion on the album as a whole. That may be true I still have some minor complaints but whatever .. anyway I actually really like it at least a majority of it. That's it. Now to return to my shame cave and listen on repeat kthanxbye1 point

2 weeks in and my love is still growing 😍 I started jogging again this week, and the record is absolutely perfect for my typical half an hour run, another great FOAM application1 point

The highlighted part has me seriously worried for the show I'm going to this summer. I love this band to death, but shit the singing has been a new low recently. It might be because of the songs. It's happened before with Still Breathing. It wasn't very good at first, but over time the song grew on his voice or the other way around and it became a great song live. I just hope they're able to break in the songs live and give a kickass performance.1 point

They just didn't know who the fuck you were 😂 I call bs on this sob story. Billie Joe has mentioned it directly in an interview and he was excited and thought it was cool. He's also gone on and even mentioned being interested in the band and supporting them. Just another excuse of a sub-par using GD for attention. Branden Flowers syndrome 2.0.1 point

I get your point and I laughed but I would be remiss if I didn't say to everyone "You've know you've made it when you smile and say 'I love my life'", regardless of what you do, how much money you make, and everything in between. I know people with millions who would shoot themselves if they didn't have other depending on them and the happiest person I know doesn't have two dimes to scrape together and lost his fiance at 22. I don't mean to preach, and I know your comment was benign but I am feeling transcendent today here as I do my weekly read through the posts.1 point

"Dirty looks and I'm looking for a Pig Bag," which I'll never unhear because it's a real thing from an obscure 90s video game, where you capture Evil Pigs in Pig Bags.1 point

@kaylubd's post in another thread just reminded me that back in 2004 I was pretty convinced that Tre's "Geez" in Homecoming was actually "cheese". I used that song for a high school english class a few years later, and with my great surprise my English teacher made me notice that he was actually saying geez, and that's when I added geez to my English vocabulary 😂1 point
