Let's hope not. A lot of shows in Singapore and Japan have been happening with extra precautions like temperature checks at the door. I think we can be sure of it by next week. Have been waiting for 12 years for this moment, will be a shame if it gets cancelled or postponed. 😕5 points

Yeah I like Foo Fighters a lot but most of their albums sound the same. There's not a single one that stands out. They have great songs of course, but it's not groundbreaking. They're fairly good at what they do: making standard arena ready rock songs.4 points

"Making the setlist is fucking hard" - Mike Dirnt I swear I'm never not gonna throw out this quote because really guys? I wish they would just be honest. Say something like, it can be overwhelming because there's so much material so we usually end up playing the same songs because it's what we're comfortable with at this point. I'm so fed up with the iTs HaRd excuse.4 points

Rock band Green Day visits Decades and Belvedere Inn in Lancaster city. According to Decades Marketing Manager Jonathan Yeager, Decades had arranged an "Employee Birthday Party," which then ended up being an ad hoc birthday party for Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, who turned 48 on Monday. https://lancasteronline.com/features/rock-band-green-day-visits-decades-belvedere-inn-in-lancaster/article_39374996-53e8-11ea-883a-5b27ca59ec31.html Video with Billie, Butch, jason and Tré singing: credits: Liz Frandsen Instagram stories4 points

I showed my mom my recent Green Day haul, which included the new Q magazine. Of course, that's what she zeroed in on talking about how cute Billie is. So while we're on the phone, talking about something else entirely, she's still looking up pictures of Billie. I guess she found some old Gilman ones and was like "Is that his long hair?! He's got great hair!!" I'm just like...what have I done3 points

Yeah I was gonna say Green Day has been more versatile over their career than Foo Fighters. Love em both to death though.3 points

It went to the same place where the Forever Now video and the Otis remixes are already waiting. RIP.3 points

This guy is so angry about FOAM that he basically does a review without even hearing the album! The cuts of Billie 'going f--king crazy' is hilarious. This guy hates everything about Green Day. He criticizes Green Day for being punk, says they aren't Nirvana and says he didn't even know Green Day was "a thing anymore". I'm surprised this guy even called American Idiot their legacy, because he hates them so much. He haaaaaaaaaaaates Green Day, and he hates FOAM even more.3 points

Maybe, we think there are all these people behind the scenes, but really it's just Billie Joe panicking and running around trying ship all the orders out by himself! That would be hilarious! Like the record company said "We've paid you millions of dollars. The least you could do is package all this unicorn shit you designed and get it to your fans." BAHAHAAHAHAH2 points

Yeah, what did he expect them to do? Jump up and down screaming “you’re that guy”, ask for a cut of his royalties for giving him a start, what else could they do but just go, oh.2 points

I like the Foo Fighters but Green Day's sound is a million times more distinctive and style-defining than theirs. Not that groundbreaking, really.2 points

I'm currently reading This is A Call, a book about Dave Grohl and there's a passage where he mentions Green Day. It's not a new quote - it's probably from about 10 years ago or longer: "When I listen to some bands who have been around for ten or fifteen years like, God Bless em, the Ramones or Green Day or AC/DC - those bands have a made a career out of making music that wrestles with one dynamic. But fuck that, I don't want to be that band. I want to be a band that can do fucking anything." What's funny is Foo Fighters are that band now. They've been around for 25 years and they stick with the same sound, so nice one Dave2 points

They just didn't know who the fuck you were 😂 I call bs on this sob story. Billie Joe has mentioned it directly in an interview and he was excited and thought it was cool. He's also gone on and even mentioned being interested in the band and supporting them. Just another excuse of a sub-par using GD for attention. Branden Flowers syndrome 2.0.2 points

I made a GD setlist last night and sorry but it's hard 😂 but still no reason why they can't rotate. They play an average of 23-28 songs and the average band retains about 40 songs during a tour.2 points

Or the coronavirus cancels the Asia tour. It’s in two weeks, does anyone else think this could be a potential problem?2 points

Even if he wasn't, what the management did to the show with the so cal local bands most probably killed this plan.2 points

I don't think Mike and Tre have been that involved since 21CB. It's sort of the Billie show featuring Billie and the Yes Men.2 points

My mug is being held hostage at the UK post office at the moment. I always wonder why I buy stuff from the US store, I always end up resenting it at some point. The lovely little mug was $12, shipping $12.99 and now I have been hit with a $15 customs charge. Nearly $40 for a lightweight little mug. I am starting to realise who the real mug is in all of this 😑2 points

Don’t know who is cutest! Really, Intercourse, Pennsylania? 😂😂 is it just me that’s laughing at GD rehearsing their show in Amish country?1 point
-
Yeah! They don't even have to change the entire setlist. Just switch out a few songs to spice it up a bit. I saw this review on their 2017 Wrigley show and one line described the show perfectly. It was something along the lines of "their great performers, but if you've been to one Green Day show, you've been to them all."1 point

I had a dream that I made it out to a small show, like a Coverups show, and when it was over people lined up to meet Billie. I was second. So he comes over, we take some cute selfies, and I get a hug. I was VERY salty when I woke up with no Billie and me selfies on my phone 😑1 point

Article from NME about Matt Healy playing with GD when he was 13 (another article spawned from other recent interviews): https://www.nme.com/news/music/the-1975s-matty-healy-reveals-he-played-bass-on-stage-with-green-day-aged-13-2612009 "I met them years later and told them the whole story and they weren't remotely interested" Will Richards 7 mins ago The 1975‘s Matty Healy has remembered the time he was brought up on stage by Green Day to play bass with them when he was just 13 years old. Speaking to Zane Lowe for a new interview with Apple Music, the frontman recalled being one of the lucky fans that the band pulled up on stage at every show. “I played with Green Day once,” he told Lowe. “So I was like 13 and they did that thing where they get kids up on stage. And I was at the front and then I got up and played bass with them.” He went on to reveal that he recalled the incident to the band when he met them many years later. “I told them the whole story and they weren’t remotely interested. So yeah.” _____________________ No idea if this is another new interview with Tre or not as it isn't available to the UK/Europe. I posted another Talk Radio interview with Tre the other day ... https://alt1053.radio.com/blogs/dallas/tre-cool-joins-dallas-on-green-day-day1 point

^^ Man, that was poorly written. Spelling Billie wrong, spelling whine wrong, thinking KYE was the album to follow AI, guessing IWATT might be the longest track rather than just looking at the tracklist to confirm, thinking the rock and roll tragedy line was one of the "few" dark moments on the album... Sheesh.1 point

I care less and less about reviews because none of these people's opinions are more valid than mine, except those who make/produce music themselves. I enjoy this album. I think a large amount of people just hate Green Day and will trash them no matter what they put out.1 point

I'm quite sure Billie farted at some point, within the last 2 hours. I felt in my soul. If that ain't news, I don't know what is. Also, I've been seeing posters all over Oslo, Billie's face is everywhere. I'll try to steal one and upload a decent picture later.1 point
