  3. ^^ Man, that was poorly written. Spelling Billie wrong, spelling whine wrong, thinking KYE was the album to follow AI, guessing IWATT might be the longest track rather than just looking at the tracklist to confirm, thinking the rock and roll tragedy line was one of the "few" dark moments on the album... Sheesh.

  4. Tre really does look so much better since he ditched the blue/green hair and that photo with Mickey on the drums is adorable

  7. Every time I listen to Graffitia I feel like there's a whole story buried in this wonderful (and too short!) song I want to know more about. Can I have a full concept album that takes place in Graffitia please?

  9. My mug is being held hostage at the UK post office at the moment. I always wonder why I buy stuff from the US store, I always end up resenting it at some point. The lovely little mug was $12, shipping $12.99 and now I have been hit with a $15 customs charge. Nearly $40 for a lightweight little mug. I am starting to realise who the real mug is in all of this 😑

And I waiting with all my heart for next album with hope this going for MUCH better. xx đŸ„ș Ps: Is my opinion guys, don't take for your heart if you love the album.

  16. I'm listening to the 1998 acoustic session from KALX radio and I either forgot it exists or I never heard it, but anyway, I'm absolutely freaking out. this is incredible edit: this version of Jinx really makes it stand out as the sad "I'm a bad person to have a relationship with" song and I prefer it to the album version (that never really worked for me)

  19. Wouldn't be surprised if they played a warm up gig in LA or SF. Could be a club or smaller arena. They have usually done something like that before other big tours. Bands almost always do dress rehearsals but don't always sell tickets to them.

  20. Agreed, though he was right about IWATT. I don't know why people are having so much trouble analyzing the lyrics to any song but Junkies. Like yes a couple tracks seem to be pretty simple, but there's a good amount of depth on the album. I kind of wonder if a couple songs like IWATT and MMOTR had been swapped for two songs more in line with Graffitia or Oh Yeah (subject matter wise) would people have gotten more of the political/state of the world undertones? I think if they had actually done "AI part 2", it would've been a much bigger success, but maybe a weaker album. I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen any reviews acknowledge that possibility. Unless I missed it, which is possible since there's so many.

  21. You're not a coffee drinker anymore now you are a collector The question is what happens if the band goes independent? They're gonna outsource it and it's gonna be just as bad or even worse.

  23. "Junkies" has some really deep lyrical alley ways. When Billie asks what hides in shadows, the title is his answer to himself. Even the line about Pornography ties in with the theme of addiction. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how sad this song is. The only bit of hope is his mama telling him not to follow, and the only humor is the kool-aid line. But not even sure either of those are really all that positive. He smashes his fingers while running from his mother I guess. And I don't know WHAT he and the Kool-Aid guy were up to, but it wasn't good! Also, the numbers throughout the booklet. WHAT DO THEY MEAN?

  27. Graffitia is a really cool political song you can dance to, in line with what combat rock and Sandinista did, it really fits the identity of the record IMHO I also don’t agree at all with the “missing identity” critique, I can understand that, but I don’t agree. I think this is the first record since 21CB that has a solid identity, and I actually think the cover art contributes to that. I don’t find it offensive, I find it provocative, which is different to me. I find it an hilarious take towards the band legacy from the band itself, more a joke towards themselves than the fandom (especially after they openly explained the process behind its creation). I also don’t really agree with the recycled lyrics and melodies critique, not seeing any difference from what this band has always done, and sometimes I have the feeling people is noticing this here the most because they have a pre-existing problem with the record (aka they don’t like it), which would be fine, but I might be wrong I just find interesting that this in a critique emerging from the first record in years that does not contain a RevRad/99 Rev/put 50% of the band catalogue here
