I agree with you. It isnāt necessary. The only band Iāve seen have a kind of good system for this is Pearl Jam. They snag as many tickets as the promoter will allow, and then allow fan club members to enter a lottery by city. You can enter for as many cities as you want. All tix are face value not inflated. Only downside is if you win thereās no going back, your card is charged and you canāt sell the ticket. The seniority system for awarding the seats sucks too but other bands could do all this and leave that out.4 points

I may or may not be on change.org right now... Should I list it as a human rights petition?4 points

The cover is pretty good trolling, but it makes it look like they're not taking it seriously which is a shame considering the album is great. However, it's "we won't play the new songs" that pisses me off.4 points

I think these secondary sites like StubHub should be shutdown and outlawed. But because most companies like Ticketmaster are in bed with them, it makes it hard. The practice needs more regulation in the states because it's freaking ridiculous.3 points

https://wrrv.com/new-green-day-song-oh-yeah-repeats-as-number-one-buzzcut-2/ Oh is toppling the world. If you are not on board with the new older, less mature Green Day.... Well, I think Take the Money and Crawl says it best.3 points

Graffitia is a really cool political song you can dance to, in line with what combat rock and Sandinista did, it really fits the identity of the record IMHO I also donāt agree at all with the āmissing identityā critique, I can understand that, but I donāt agree. I think this is the first record since 21CB that has a solid identity, and I actually think the cover art contributes to that. I donāt find it offensive, I find it provocative, which is different to me. I find it an hilarious take towards the band legacy from the band itself, more a joke towards themselves than the fandom (especially after they openly explained the process behind its creation). I also donāt really agree with the recycled lyrics and melodies critique, not seeing any difference from what this band has always done, and sometimes I have the feeling people is noticing this here the most because they have a pre-existing problem with the record (aka they donāt like it), which would be fine, but I might be wrong I just find interesting that this in a critique emerging from the first record in years that does not contain a RevRad/99 Rev/put 50% of the band catalogue here3 points

Mike replied to a comment I made on one of his posts once, and that of course made me super excited, but I've posted art and stuff before tagging the boys and nothing like that has happened. You're so lucky!3 points

Long time lurker, first time poster, but wanted to chime in that I got mine yesterday evening. I was surprised to see that the coffee is pre-ground. It says so on the store, but I assumed it would be Whole Bean. Doesn't look like there is a Father of All Dark Roasts whole bean option. Mug is awesome though!2 points

I'm not so sure about how could be my dream or reasonable setlist but I have some points: No more KFAD, instead they could play 3 or 4 any 1039-dookie-insomniac-nimrod-trilogy songs. East Jesus Nowhere must come back to the set. Imo is one the greatest songs ever. 4 or 5 foam songs. And the most important: MACY'S DAY PARADE AS THE CLOSER!2 points

Am I the only one who thinks this is a load of bullshit? "We want to prevent scalping so we're inflating the prices ourselves". Well thanks, I don't really see what it changes for me.2 points

It's a fun album, but has its flaws. Easy 7.5/10, 8/10 (if I'm in the mood for this type of album)2 points

Thanks for helping me place that, the "and it's dangerooous" was driving me slightly mad lol. I haven't really noticed any other glaringly obvious old/reused melodies (no spoilers pls), so it doesn't bother me in general, but it is a little annoying to realise that one of the catchiest "most green day" songs isn't more original, spoils the song slightly. How I wish I was better at photoshop so I could knock up the Billie/poodle crossbreed image that put in my head right now2 points

I care less and less about reviews because none of these people's opinions are more valid than mine, except those who make/produce music themselves. I enjoy this album. I think a large amount of people just hate Green Day and will trash them no matter what they put out.2 points

Agreed. In fact, I would go one further and say regardless of the album art, it still wouldn't have it's own identity. Too many recycled lyrics, riffs and melodies and a clash of different styles. If it was supposed to be a massive F you, party album, then what is Graffitia doing on there?1 point
-
Yes, please. It's okay if he doesn't want to indulge himself, but he can indulge us. Maybe we do need the petition.1 point
