  2. So, after one week of listening, I can say this album grew on me a lot and I'm happy that it's so much better than expected after we got the first two singles. FRA is still a weak song for me, but I like it more now. FOAM is the only song on the album I still absolutely don't like, sorry. We won't be friends in this lifetime😂 I love Graffitia, Junkies on a High, Meet Me on the Roof, Sugar Youth, Take the Money and Crawl and Oh Yeah. I can't get so much into Stab You in the Heart because it sounds like an exact copy of Hippy Hippy Shake for me. I like Teenage Teenager, but it's too long in my opinion - I don't see the point of this being the longest song on the album with 3:45, they are repeating one verse and a repetetive chorus over and over. It could have been shorter and Graffitia could have used some extra time. It has that epic, Who-esque, anthem-like feel and could totally be the Forever Now of this record with one or two extra minutes. Have I already mentioned how much I love Graffitia? So overall, I think it's a really good record with songs I like a lot. And now that I got over the shock of how dark, depressing and even suicidal some of the lyrics are, I can even dance to the songs (after the first few listens, I felt more like crying to be honest because some lyrics are truly shocking).

  3. I care less and less about reviews because none of these people's opinions are more valid than mine, except those who make/produce music themselves. I enjoy this album. I think a large amount of people just hate Green Day and will trash them no matter what they put out.

  4. Tré looks absolutely great recently. I love that photo of him from iHeart, so cute

  6. I was overjoyed when Billie said he loved The Cure. They're one of my most favorite bands and I was like AHHHH Billie loves them too! Excellent taste 👌

  7. That’s what I do. On a drive I’ll start it at track four and let it come around to the beginning at the end if I have time. I don’t skip anything though I just want to hear tracks 4-10 more right now.

  8. They posted something like that on Reddit and if you search Swedish songwriters or best trap album on google you can really see the Foamf cover. Kinda funny lol

  9. Your comment got me thinking. He once said that Lazy Bones was a song that was hard for him to perform because it was so true it made him emotional. I wonder if the same holds true for some of these darker songs and why he’s reluctant to play them live?

  10. I'm not usually one to fangirl over Tré, but I watched the album release iHeart interview last night and may I just say that he is looking absolutely fantastic right now?! Looks better than ever. They all do. This is going to be a spectacular era! And Billie's selfie 100% killed me! He is perfection! 😍 His neck though.

  14. I think that’s one of the cutest pics of them. I really love Mike’s goofy face. Billie keeps blowing people’s mind with his 48 year old appearance. I couldn’t tell how much this pic made me happy especially while going to school that I hate lol

  21. He’s probably referring to all those (many) reviewers that have been trashing this band for 10 years and now gave very positive ratings to this record. Metacritic also still have to register some really positive reviews like the one from the Guardian, it takes them some time to have a full overview, we should check this in a couple of weeks.

  22. Butch saying best reviews since AI is a stretch. If he's referring to the metacritic score, everything since has been roughly around the 65-72, so not much difference. The reviews have been mixed from both critics and fans. Rev Rad is probably the best overall reviewed since AI.

  27. Hard to say. In all honesty, it’s doing better than I thought it would at this point. I think it will be a near sell out in most major cities. Hard to tell. The pit sold out immediately. There aren’t many groups of 4. Fairly indicative of where it would be for the price of the tickets. With the Harley promotion, I wish they brought the tickets price down or it would be selling quicker but it’s doing well.

  30. I started listening to more Weezer when they announced the tour and I’ve come to like quite a lot of it so that’ll be fine. I’ve seen the Interrupters and they’re one of my favorite bands. FOB will be the longest bathroom/food/merch break ever. To me, they’re as stab my eardrum with an icepick annoying as PanicATD. Both of them make we want to run away screaming.

  31. green day should do a song voting for their setlists for every show (like metallica did (in 2014 i think)) well, for the metallica shows, people were stupid enough to mostly vote for their hits/songs they play at every show every year, but some shows had some nice deeper cuts

  36. Kerrang clearly picked up on this from the interviews yesterday and wrote an article about it! https://www.kerrang.com/the-news/green-day-will-play-the-hits-on-this-years-hella-mega-tour/ GREEN DAY WILL PLAY “THE HITS” ON THIS YEAR’S HELLA MEGA TOUR Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has given an insight into the setlist for Green Day’s upcoming Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer. We’re a week on from the release of Green Day’s 4K-rated Father Of All… album, and while the band are on course for their fourth UK Number One, they are also now turning their attention to the upcoming Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer in the summer. In a new interview on Apple Music’s Beats 1, Zane Lowe asks Billie Joe Armstrong about the “overall mood” of the setlist for the tour, to which the frontman laughs: “It’s going to be a lot of familiar tunes that are gonna be played. You know, we’re going to play a couple of new songs, and then definitely going to blast into all of the stuff that people (pauses)… all the favourites.” Zane jokes that the singer and guitarist has historically struggled to admit that Green Day have “hits”, and Billie Joe emphatically says, “We’re playing the hits!” Interestingly, while Green Day’s setlist may be looking back across the more popular material from their 30-plus-year career, they’ve always mixed things up across tours, and are known for dropping in rarely-played gems as and when they feel like it. There’s a chance they might be releasing even more fresh material before they hit the road which could well end up in the setlist, too. “We have more songs,” Billie Joe continues. “I’ve written, like, three or four since the first single [Father Of All…] came out [last September]. I mean, the way people are able to put out music now, we’re so stoked, because now we can just put stuff out anytime we want – we’re completely unstructured. So to put out a single here, or an EP there, or contribute something to what would eventually be an album… we don’t really know, but we’re into it. So hopefully maybe there’ll be even more music this summer. We’ll see what happens.” When asked how many songs Green Day have leftover from the Father Of All… sessions, Billie Joe reveals, “We’ve got, like, seven songs left from that session. And then, yeah, there’s like four more [that have been written since then], so we have almost another album’s worth of stuff right now.” Hell yeah. BRB while we go and write-up our dream Green Day setlist…

  37. I would love if they'd use Kerplunk font/logo in future releases again. It's such an iconic font. If I remember correctly, the last time they used it was on Vinyl box set thing, back in 2009.

  38. Yep, and the comments section over there is great! "This is soe of the cleanest and tightest sound I've ever heard from Green Day. It's great to see from a bunch of guys that were just coming into their own when I was still in High School. These guys look like a bunch of dads that 'got the band back together' for their daughters Homecoming dance."

  39. Billie's neck has superpowers: it can stretch out and then suddenly back in. (and Billie seems all content of it ) and I'm throwing below a few other gifs I've made from the same interview. Promise I won't monopolize any more after that Beyza, are you the one who has kept posting current interviews of the boys on Youtube? cause her name is also Beyza . If so great job!

  41. Meet Me On The Roof and Stab You In The Heart are both from These Paper Bullets, right? So now we have 5 tracks from the show turned into songs for other projects. The Last Time Give It All To You Keep Me Satisfied Meet Me On The Roof Stab You In The Heart Make for a pretty good mock-Beatles EP I think!
