Well I can't hate him because he's one of the best guy I know, but he used me 😂 This fucking asshole made me think we were gonna listen to FOAMF to bring me in his fucking basement where a lot of my friends were waiting to surprise me. They're celebrating my birthday barely a month late because they didn't have time on my actual birthday date. A tuesday night 😂 Well I'm gonna be fucked up tomorrow. I'm soooo angry and happy at the same time. They fucking used me. You can't play with my heart like that. THEY USED FOAMF AS AN EXCUSE TO BRING ME HERE. So no leak guy I'm so sorry holy shit I was so excited this afternoon.

There's a interview with Green Day on the newest issue of Finnish music magazine "Soundi". The interview was done when the band was in Spain last November. It's about their writing and recording of FOAM, history as a band and how they've sticked together so long, their opinions about social media and releasing new music. It's really nice interview! It's in Finnish so scans wouldn't do much. One thing is worth a mention! This is the quote: "Billie: We still have six or seven songs which didn't fit in this album. However, we want to continue to release new music as soon as possible, so those are going to end up as a singles or EP maybe next year or in 2021." They have talked about releasing new music after the album is out, but I think that's pretty exciting!

What's really weird is one of my co-workers came up to me the other day while we were talking about bands touring, not knowing how much of a fan of GD I was and asked me if I knew about this fake Green Day album going around. I was all like "yeah" and he proceeded to tell me how he thinks it's better than real GD and it's what he wishes they were doing instead. I am just like "each to their own". Why pick just one when you can have both? they are just two very different flavors of the same style of music. Only one has a really fucking shit album cover.

So on friday the 7th I think I'm gonna get drunk and listen to FOAMF on repeat.

Awesome, I love this. Keep the music coming ❤️ This makes me appreciate a little more the 10 songs album choice. Either the songs didn’t fit the record and they chose to maintain a record identity, or they were considered b-sides and they preferred to not have fillers. In both cases, I appreciate the choice.

This! To me it was taking elements of what made that album unique, and naturally evolving it to be more theatrical with the choir and more strings. I think a lot of fans would love it if Green Day was actually doing something like that. Personally though, I am just happy the boys are still around making music, and while I hope they can make another Rock Opera in the future, I can always look back to AI, 21CB and even elements of RevRad and appreciate how epic those records can sound.

Wanted to share how thankful I am for GDA. I post almost no personal info, but life has been difficult. GDA has been a positive thing in my life and it's really the only comminity I feel a part of currently. Thank you, thank you, thank you. If only we could be as active all the time as when new stuff happens. It's a blast getting on here and seeing more than a few quotes. Oh Yeah Oh Yeah Having one does not effect your testosterone in a signifigant way. It feel a little weird walking at first, but after a year or so you get used to that.

I did have a thought about that which I just have to share. Imagine Duke's elderly mother being so proud of her son and his success and getting her pals round to watch GD at the NHL performance "my son does his hair" she would tell them and then...….. I mean, he looks gorgeous but …. 😂

Kerrang gave it 4 stars.. it seems that stab you in the heart is the highlight of the album.

I was listening to all my GD music on shuffle and getting a lot of Trilogy songs. I've always liked the Trilogy. Don't know why it gets so much dislike. But I realized something about it that I think contributes to how much I like it. Billie's voice sounds very unfiltered and it's really distinctive on those albums. Many songs have portions where it's just him singing and maybe a couple of instruments at most. It's just so nice to hear his pure, unfiltered singing voice. I think this is why I'm still having a hard time with the album versions of the FOAM songs so far. It just sounds so filtered and I don't get to hear his real voice. I really loved the live performances of the songs because they're not as filtered and I can actually enjoy his beautiful voice.

Just my opinion, but I want to hear it as soon as possible, in this world no one is guaranteed to see tomorrow so as soon as the opportunity is there, I am taking it and I don't understand why someone would want to hope that others don't also get that opportunity. #songsforassholes So that means we ARE actually getting a leak today, right? 😝

I seem to remember Billie Joe (who we know says lots of things) said it in a pretty off the cuff, "who knows, maybe" kind of way which I didn't really take to mean we should hold our breath for more music. Maybe they wanted to go into negotiations for a new contract or entirely different contract being able to say, well we already have half a dozen songs ready to go, whether they go out in a more independent, random pattern or form part of the next big album, who knows
