  10. I went to an old book shop yesterday and found a selection of poems by one local quite famous leftist writer, titled "Songs Of Rage And Love" It's from 1962, so a 100% coincidence.

  20. After all, American Idiot was looked at as something weird and out of genre to lots of OG fans, but now it's considered by many people including myself to be the magnum opus of their career i'm staying as positive as I can lol, I don't really think a record with little direction in terms of content will become a magnum opus in the truest sense, but y k n o w...

  23. Iโ€™m back in Italy for Christmas and Iโ€™m hearing FOAM everywhere ๐Ÿ˜„ It was on the radio a few times, I heard it in a shop, and the Sevilla concert is on rotation on MTV Rock. Pretty cool, I realized how much the song has grown on me during these three months.

  29. After sitting with both of the singles for a while, I can safely say that I, unsurprisingly, really dig 'em. I fuckin' like Green Day, who knew? I do get the complaints about these songs sounding like iPod commercials or whatever but ehhh, I honestly like that for the guys. Sounds refreshing and kinda new for them, but the sound is one that's familiar and refined. The style/attitude of this era is not really connecting with me, but I don't hate it. I guess I just expected something different after Rev Rad. Looking at this track list though... oof. Just seems trite. I Was a Teenage Teenager might be one of the dumbest song titles I've ever heard, along with "Oh Yeah!" being a song title, but I can't lie and act like I am not super hyped for a song called "Oh Yeah!" It's weird. I've never felt like this before in regards to Green Day. I feel like I am not enjoying the presentation, but I do enjoy the songs and I have such faith in these dudes. I guess I just hoped they'd do something different, I don't know. Regardless, thankful they're still making music ๐Ÿ™

  30. "I stop to notice I'm by your home" from Private Ale always sounded like "A shop damn notes fish spiral rome" which made absolutely no sense but ok And my personal favorite: the first lyric video I had ever seen for Jesus of Suburbia was actually a misheard lyrics video. For months or so I just could not unhear "I'm seeing your dad, he's making sushi" instead of "lost children with dirty faces today" and "a raptor got beaten in the bathroom store" instead of "I read the graffiti in the bathroom stall." I technically still have to think to stop myself from singing these lines whenever they come up even though it's been years.
